User ImageClip clop clip clop went their hooves as the two soquilis traveled through the meadow down to the stream. The pair moved along at a moderate and quiet pace, both just enjoying the scenery and... not really doing much else. Though they were very much alike and loved each other dearly, they didn't have a very close bond, yet somehow the mother and son managed.

Every now and then the mother's caramel brown eyes would drift onto the little foal trotting beside her. Her eyes lingering on his black wings and markings. Though it had been over two weeks, Alianna still couldn't believe her eyes. Trotting right next to her, was her son, her son. How in the world did this happen? Her mind drifted off to Kureno, the stallion that was Sujieko's father. They had only met once...quite a long time ago, in a forest clearing...and then she got pregnant. She bit her lip at the thought, her heart feeling empty. The time had passed so quickly that she felt that she was more like a puppet on strings than an actual being with its own brain and soul. Kureno...She didn't know what to think. Perhaps it was that she didn't love him? She shook her head, no, he just seemed so cold...and distant. He probably hated her now, longing to kill her. It really was all her fault, wasn't it? It was stupid old Alianna who caused so much turmoil and depression, wasn't it? It was not that Alianna didn't like her children, it was just so unreal...

Sujieko trotted beside his mother, humming a random little tune of his own make. Though quite absorbed with the scenery, he always felt his mother's eyes one him now and again. Why couldn't Mama just talk to him instead of staring at him? It gave him the creeps! Why did she look so sad as if she was going to cry or something? Did he do something wrong? Mother had been quiet eversince she mentioned that they were going to meet his father and sister. The awkward silence stretched indifinantly between them, making the little foal just want to scream just to break it. After a few moments, he finally asked,"Hey, Mama. We're going to go and see Daddy and sis, right?"

Alianna blinked, still stuck in her reverie as she absorbed the question. She managed to pull up a small smile just in time and answer,"Yes, we are." She was dreading the upcoming meeting which she knew wouldn't be the most pleasant in the world. He is going to hate me...
