HELLO, my name is 21LV3Rgirl which also means silvergirl^^ Many of my friends call me 21, JD or silver, but I prefer 21. I like art and anything that is artistic like many of you do. MY GOAL AND DREAM, is to one day become good enough to be a Manga artist.Maybe is not as big or as important as being a lawyer or a doctor and getting paid lots, but I find it intriguing and exiting because I want other teenagers to read what I write once I grow up and like many of us, join into the Anime revolution and see how many wonders these stories can bring.... I'm 14(turned 15 already hahaha) unfortunately, though I don't sound like it at all do I? wink AND WELL><I draw on MS PAINT. to be honest, its not the best thing ever but I guess all artists start from scratch. I want to be able to get my own drawing tablet so it would be easier for me to draw and pass my drawings to the computer..but for now, I've settled with this. HOPE YOU LIKE IT. PEACE OUT!

PLEASE FEEL free to critique about the way I draw, I'll be [posting more art as well as sketches I'm working on. HAVE in mind that I draw using a MOUSE (lol) so I've learned how to have control in terms of moving it around the screen^^ I DO know how to draw bodies. But recently I've been working more on faces. I want to be able to capture emotions as well as movement when characters are talking or showing a feeling. SO when your saying some thing about my drawing at least tell me what does it make you feel or say in you mind, were could this character be or what kind of emotions does it show?.....Thank you. PEACE OUT!

Doing good! Try to improve the lines, but try using shading to make the images look more three dimensional.

Pretty damn good for paint, but even most oekaki apps are way more advanced than it is. On a technical note, get the GIMP.It's free, it's not very large, and REALLY makes the work process go faster. On to the art- I like the first ones very much, they're very interesting and I'm impressed by what you've done with the tools you have. More shading is important because they do feel rather flat, or stick it all in black and white and give some serious weight to your lines. ((Layers really help to easily play with shading and NOT end up losing over 9000 hours of work.)) The page of eyes... I'm not so impressed. A lot of people sit down and create a whole page of anime eyes (I was once guilty too) but that doesn't help at all with learning to do anything but anime eyes. They also feel incredibly flat and soulless. Mirroring them doesn't help the soulessness any- if you absolutely must mirror, do it BEFORE adding the light reflections. I'm going to give you an assignment to do, on paper, with a pencil or whatever you'd like to draw with. It's optional, but it really helps. Draw a page of eyes- wait for it... realistically! Look up photos on the googleweb or out of magazines, study the shapes and contours, look at how the light hits them. No direct copying now, those are just references. How it helps is it gives you a better understanding of the construction of the eye so you can develop your own anime style (aka shorthand for the shapes.)

Gimp is basically a more powerful editor than paint, it gives you more tools to use, and is often called "the poor mans photoshop." Since it is completely free. You've said you wanted to get a tablet, but you're going to need better software than paint since paint is absolutely not tablet compatible. Now, most tabs do come bundled with software, however getting GIMP now will help you a lot to get used to using the more advanced programs once you do get it. Basically it's like taking the step up from lined paper and a school pencil to sketchbook paper and art pencils. The quality of the work is still up to you the artist, but it does make things easier. To get it click here, then download the installer for windows version. At this time it says "Download GIMP 2.4.7 – Installer for Windows 2000 and above" It's only 14.1mb to download and if when installing you change it to the compact installation instead of full it only takes up 33.5mb of space on the hard drive. Programs like adobe photoshop and corel painter take around 250-300mb, so GIMP is also good if you're conserving disk space.

Wait...Is MS a computer program? Cuz if you drew(or even finished it on a comp) I will say that it was a very good job...unlike me, I suck at comp...i prefer hand to paper combat. anyway, if it was hand drawn, then there is still help needed...however, it looks far more serious than anything that I have ever drawn...except maybe that one creepy picture of elie wiesel

The ice skater looks more like she's dancing (like a ballerina), but it's really pretty. I have trouble moving people around so that's cool. Great job with the mouse. I agree with the first girl. And GIMP is a good program (I know you already got photoshop, but GIMP was my first program I used after MS Paint mrgreen ). Pretty good job though. I like the big one of your avi with the eyes shut. The hair shine is a little strange in the way it's shaped and its placement but I still like the pic. blaugh Good Job! rofl
