In Kung Fu we use the bag sometimes and I get some pretty bad gashes in my knuckles from punching so hard. I got some Century Hand Wraps that have a thumb loop and Velcro to close them. The Velcro is supposed to end up right above the knuckles, but every wrapping style I've seen it ends at the wrist. If anyone could help me out, it would be appropriated.

Appropriated? mrgreen
why does the velcro have to end up at the knuckle? All i have been taught is how to do it so it ends at the wrist sorry.

If I wrap it around my wrist, the wrap is very loose at the end, and I was told by someone who had them that it is supposed to go over the knuckles for "extra padding".

I've never heard of wraps that end at the knuckles...
It'd be hard to explain online razz One of those things it'd be better to get someone to show you...

kind of a crappy example. i see if i can find a better one but you get the idea from this. I used to wrap my hands for boxing everyday. got tired of it real fast though. thats why i switched to fancy bag gloves with built in wrist support. Edit: this one is a lot better i think.

Cool, lets us know if they help your knuckles! I know they should, and remember like the man said there is more than one way to wrap em!

anyone uses those wraps cause there hands sweat to much? sweating can be an advntage when an opponet is holding on to you, you can just 'slip'- but its bad cause it makes my gloves smelly T___T (though theres probably something else to prevent stinky glove syndrom)
