I would have to say a piece called resplendant glory. Heres a youtube of what it sounds like. (this isn't my band playing it. It begins at 3:00 and they play some other piece before it.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJVBkkgXcWoIts a HAARRRDD trumpet piece. You can hear them struggling in there. Had to play first, and I got the insanely high note. <3 But yeah, my favorite piece ever!

It would have to be Amazing Grace.. Except it makes me sad because that was played at my grandpa's funeral.. ;___;
It has a special Trombone part. >w< Not a solo or anything, but the whole band plays softly while trombones play alot louder. That made sense right? D:

Ugh, a march >.< I absolutely hate marches. But, I suppose that since I play the trumpet and our parts are always ridiculously high up, I have nothing to say sweatdrop My favorite song is.... Pirates of the Caribbean, it's so much fun. Also Liturgical Fanfare, which I played in fifth grade xp

We're currently playing a Nightmare Before Christmas Medley in band for our Christmas concert. I play the Bass clarinet [used to play regular clarinet] and the notes are so low and long, I hate it, but I love it!

When I was in grade 6, we played 3 pieces, "Three Czech Folk Songs". Man were they fun. Currently, we're playing some Christmas stuff, however my band conductor says that we sound like drunk Christmas carolers. Ah well, there's no where to go but up.

Painting has never been this fun.Veritas sayz:
Ah yes... Important question this.
Relentless. A 20th century piece. I got the real audio file from JWPeppers.com... Tis spiffy indeed. Percussionist heavy, so I'm oft doing a lot of work. Specially Tam-tam gonging. ^^
I believe it's by Andrew Boysen. >.< Don't quote me on that. Splatter!

A Christmas Festival, I don't remember who wrote it redface haven't seen it in a while. But that was my favorite christmas orchestra song.
Edit: I lied, but that one is my favvey christmas song that I've played. The favorite song I've played was Golden Sierra, then Yosemite Fall by Gary Gilroy. I got solos in both and the songs were just plain awesome.

I have two favorites:
Number One is a song by Gustav Holst that I NEVER remember the name of!!! Which highly depresses me....
Number Two: It Is Well With My Soul, a hymn written by Bliss and Spafford. There are words but we played a purely instumental version which always made chills go up and down my spine...
But besides those two I like anything that is interesting and fun, starts out hard but after a couple of weeks is easy to play.

Folk Song Suite by Ralph Vaughn Williams, all three movements. (:
I played it a few years back, and now I'm playing it again. The clarinet solos are AWESOME, and I get to play them! :3 (I usually don't like solos, but these are totally badass.)
