All right, this isn't fancy, but it does for me. I'm a simple person, despite being a Captain. With that said...
02/06/09 - Well, I've finally gotten a new vice-captain for this squad: Eme Boelba. Welcome and all that.
11/23/08 - Whoo...a big change has come. Ogato, sadly, has left us for greener pastures - that is, he's now a Captain. Congratulations!
This leaves a void at Vice-Captain, so I'm holding a tournament to determine our next VC. Sadly, no one in this squad is in, but I've decided to make the tournament a yearly (or possibly semi-yearly) affair. Next time, it will be open to all entrants. Feel free to observe, though. It's a simple tournament, as I'm having each of the three combatants fight each other once in one-on-one battles. Observe and learn the fighting styles, because one of these three will become your new Vice-Captain.
8/12/08 - I'm no longer putting people in higher ranks for RP ability. I've taken a look at the roster and don't wish to insert a third seat until I see someone not only with RP ability, but whose character is a bit more rounded skill-wise to back up that RP ability. Shikai would be a base requirement to get that position. From now on though, you start from the bottom - rest assured that if you're a good RPer, you can always challenge up the ladder.
I'm also very glad to see our roster beginning to fill up. I might just have to start assigning unseated positions quite soon, as I'm currently loathe to add positions below 10th seat even though those exist.
To add to the part about 3rd seat, expect a seating tournament in the very near future where I will really shake up the roster and hopefully set down some more permanent positions.
9/10/08 - Vice-Captain Yamoto (Bulletproof Duff) of Squad 7 is holding a Seated Members Tournament, a chance for all members 3rd Seat and below to showcase their skills without getting overshadowed and destroyed by Vice-Captains and Captains. I will be looking at this tournament, especially matches by Squad 6 members, for candidates for 3rd and 4th seat positions - this is a way to earn a promotion, people! I especially hope that our members can make a good showing and make everyone stand in awe at the superior strategical skills spuriously employed in a statistically stratospheric manner to sufficiently stun several sextillions of our Sereitei squadmates. So sally forth and show them how we do things!
As a sub-announcement, Captain Feldric hereby retires from his career as a V impersonator.

-Melohim transferred out to fourth squad, Aerin Itonami entered as fourth seat, Akira Sajima promoted to third seat on the basis of improvement and seniority.
Advancement
Advancement will be provided on the following basis:
Promotion - This will only occur if the position you are being promoted to is vacant for whatever reason. Basically, if I think that you're active enough or have enough RPing skill, I will give you a promotion. Simple.
Challenge - Any seated officer may challenge a higher seat to an RP battle for position. Challenges cannot be denied unless the challenged cannot at present commit to the battle due to appropriate issues (inability to get online, real life getting in the way too much, etc).
Any challenges for position must be posted in this thread. The challenge must be posted as follows:
Challenger's name:
Challenger's username:
Name of person being challenged:
Username of person being challenged:
Seat being challenged:
Challenger's username:
Name of person being challenged:
Username of person being challenged:
Seat being challenged:
I will then look over the challenge and post a thread for the challenge. It will be a ten-post, one-on-one battle, however, I will place restrictions or field difficulties in order to test the tactical skills of the fighters. The higher the seat being challenged, the harder the restrictions. Keep this in mind. Also keep in mind that because it is a challenge, rank is irrelevant. So even if the person challenging is a 10th seat, and the person being challenged is a fourth seat, because of the nature of the challenge both participants are to be assumed as on equal terms strength-wise. In short, the "right to rarely be hit" that applies when there is a large discrepancy in ranks does not apply here, ever.
Obviously, you cannot challenge for the position of Captain, and you cannot challenge for the position of Vice-Captain either. Once this squad gets active enough I will hold periodic seating tournaments, and if the Vice-Captain is able to participate, the winner will obviously become Vice-Captain. The point there is that if you win, you've either beaten the Vice-Captain or someone that has.
You also can't challenge for vacant spots - don't worry, though. Once we get activity, I will try to keep the vacant spots at or near the bottom of the ladder, so that won't be an issue unless you really want to be demoted for whatever reason. If there is a vacant spot in the roster, rest assured that I will do my best to fill it.
