Raine's blue eyes traced the sky line up above. He was neatly perched outside on the shop, wings folded behind him. The day had been oddly quiet, and uneventful so far. The male suddenly mused about this, resting his chin on his palm. His twin tails started to flick idley. It's been so quiet. Isn't this what he wanted? He hasn't spotted anyone since he had awaken, although it was possible that Kitty, Lily and Rush went to the park. He was so used to noise, was it getting to him? He let out a soft sigh. Blinking, he tried to push the thoughts out of his mind.

If the day had been quiet and uneventful, things were most likely to change abruptly. Sophie was coming down the street carrying a somewhat soggy looking package that, perhaps, once was a perfect rectangle but now took a lumpier shape, something silvery peeking out from the bottom corner. Sophie herself looked just as soaked, her unruly hair curling and sticking to her cheeks and neck like glued. "Stupid autumn showers," the female breathed out, trying hard to balance the box in her arms-- to no avail, as the wet cardboard soon gave way under the heavy objects. With a mighty bang and a metallic clatter, the whole silvery apparatus fell and scattered its pieces on the (thankfully) empty street only some few silly meters from the shop door. "Oh--" Sophie bit her lip, swallowing the word. "Barnacles."

Raine's quiet time abruptly ended. Jerking up at the sudden noise, although he didn't need to walk one foot to see what it was, silvery pieces littered the ground, one piece was directly next to his foot. Up ahead he heard the familar feminine voice that he knew all too well.
"Sophie?!" He shouted, running over to her on the sidewalk. He quickly observed that she had been walking in the rain. Or maybe a sprinkler?.. He didn't remember hearing rain earlier, but then again, he felt so distant as of late.

Having started to pick up the pieces, Sophie's ears perked at the familiar sound and she looked up. A small smile made a brief appearance on her face and she managed a wave of her hand to the familiar male. "Hi Raine, enjoying the weather?" Obviously it hadn't rained here, since the street was all dry and so was the male.
Brushing a lock of hair off her face, she leaned back down to gather up the more delicate pieces. Thankfully the item hadn't shattered, all the loose parts just flew all over the place. "Mind lending a hand? I bought myself an old samovar that is-- uhh, at least it was -- in working condition. I hope it didn't break, I used up all my savings on this thing." At this, Sophie gave a small worried pout, holding the bits and pieces in her hand before pocketing them and rescuing the urn shaped container that was happily rocking from side to side.

Raine smiled, amused. He kneeled down beside her and started to pick up the pieces, carefully of course. "The weather's fine here..." He trailed off and again, glancing at the girl's drying--but still wet-- hair. "I suppose you walked into some water?" He couldn't help but to add some amusement into his tone, twin tails swishing around.
He surveyed the urn while he had the chance. What was she up to?..

"Autumn showers," Sophie snorted but smiled as well. She looked up at her drooping hair and icky wet clothes, her fur bristled here and there because she didn't get to grooming it after getting it wet. "I must look dreadful," she chuckled cheerily. She wasn't that worried; just like Karo always said 'why worry about it if you're not trying to impress anyone.'
Collecting the urn and lid that had fallen near each other, she picked up a few more loose pieces, checking the road for anything the two might have missed. "I think that was all," she chirped, her mood improving greatly even though she was no longer sure if her new tea making device worked at all. "Better get indoors before the rain gets you, too. And I'd really like to change out of these wet nuisances."

"The fall is unpredictable.." The male mused, gazing over the empty street one last time as well. He then returned his wandering gaze to the female beside him. She looked miserable wet like that. Although it was amusing to see.
Raine nodded at the girl, standing up straight "I agree. I'm not fond of the rain, hence my name."

"Nay to the Rain," Sophie joked, then hurrying the male to the shop door, concerned he might drop the delicate pieces (albeit, having been dropped once, proved not to be that delicate after all) or that they would indeed get struck by another autumn shower. Once safely indoors, the female placed her bits and pieces on the currently empty display table.
"Just a second, I'll go change," she chirped happily, hopping over to the stairs and further to the attic. She had rummaged through most of the boxes and found one with old articles of clothing-- retro was in right now, wasn't it? Squirming out off her wet clothes, she soon found herself sitting on a mattress fluffing her fur up to dry it while going through the old clothes, finding a nice turquoise tunic that might be her size.

Before he could say anything else, Raine found himself being hurried into the shop, carefully clutching the silvery pieces of the device before they found their way out of his grasp and unto the ground once more.
Once inside, he followed the girl's lead and placed the pieces safely onto the table.
He then watched her run to the attic, an amused expression lingered on his face. While waiting for her return, he glanced around, tapping his foot lightly.

Well, the tunic was anything but her size, but at least it stayed on, albeit one shoulder constantly poking out the neckline. She brushed her hair back and hopped back downstairs, her twin tails flicking with excitement.
"So, what'cha doing around the corners anyway? Not much going on around here these days," she asked curiously while setting to work to assemble the silvery pieces back into a functioning machine. "I'unno where's Kaie, she's usually around because she doesn't like being at home. But I'm sure she'll show up eventually, I've gathered you two are good friends, yes?" The girl gave a bright smile at Raine. Personally, Kaie was a little too forthcoming for her, but understandably it was nice for the males, she reasoned.

Raine raised an eyebrow as the female brightly made her way down the stairs. Her choice of clothing intrigued him. He wasn't used to seeing Sophie in such loose clothing.
Before he had time to notice, the girl was already at the table beside him. Her questions about Kaie made him curious as to why she wanted to know, but he shrugged it off as a conversation starter.
Leaning lightly against the table, he blinked at her, wings folded back. "I was enjoying some quiet time away from the others.." he replied, a little hesitant about Sophie's second question.
"Kaie..is a rather good friend of mine, however annoying she may seem. I think she has a good heart. She just likes us guys a bit too much I suppose." Raine smiled, quite amused at the the thought of the girl's shameless flirting.

Sophie nodded, listening intently while putting the samovar back together. "Yeah, sometimes nice to be alone, isn't it? Gives some time to actually hear your own thoughts." She glanced back at him and smiled in her usual sunny way as he did, her tails flicking and twirling a little. "Oh, she doesn't limit it to males, no no. It was funny for a while but I can't say I specifically enjoy her invading my private space all the time. Y'anno the way she pinches? It kinda hurts," Sophie snorted, her tails curling at the thought of the unpleasant gesture. Some greeting it was. She was now fixing the last bits and pieces on her brand spanking new tea machine. "I shouldn't complain," the female added thoughtfully, "she was a lot of help when I had to buy myself some undergarments, Karo insisted I do."

He smirked back. "When you live with the three I do, quiet times are a pleasure..." Raine idly kept a curious blue eye on the device the female was working on. He'd love to see it in action..
As the girl continued about Kaie, he mused about her 'gestures' as well. He had no idea that Sophie was another 'victim'. Although he knew that Kaie was just overly friendly and probably just wanted attention. "Oh, you poor thing.." He gave a laugh and flicked his tails, eyeing her. He then stared back a the machine, silently commenting the girl's fast work.
The male tried to imagine Kaie helping Sophie with that sort of thing. Just the thought placed a grin on his face. It quickly faded when he gazed over to Sophie again. "At least she can help with something," he replied, his smile returning.

"Oh, I understand," Sophie chuckled merrily. Having met Rush was quite enough for her to get the point. Nice guy, that Rush, she thought. "Karo has a horde of creatures, most of them prowl the premises but few live indoors with us Temeos-- and the leader of the Wilds drops by every once in a while-- oh, it's exciting when she does. I didn't think I'd get to meet someone of such great importance."
The girl took a step back to look at the apparatus, her ears perking and flicking a little as she adjusted this and that here and there, polishing off a spec of dust. She scrunched her nose with a small grin at Raine's comment.
"Oh, she can be tons of help if you know what to ask for-- and be sure to be specific. Otherwise you'll just get what she claims was her vague interpretation of the request." Sophie chuckled, rolling her eyes a little. "Not that I mean to complain, no. I wouldn't want to put in a bad word for your friend."
Then, she pointed at the samovar. "I know you don't like tea, but wanna try if this still works after being scattered all over the place?"

"Is that so?.." Raine replied, wings flitting in a stretch and folding back in. He tried to imagine a wild Temeo indoors. Would they fit in that environment? Although he guessed that their leader couldn't possibly be as savage. But how would he know? Such creatures never crossed his path.
Shaking the thought, he returned to survey Sophie's handy work. For such short notice, it didn't look half shabby.
He shrugged, "Well, then again, you live with her. I only know her by a few conversations..." He trailed off and then added, "But I will keep that in mind."
Glancing one last time at the samovar, he nodded to the girl, swishing his tails, "Sure, I wouldn't mind trying some. 'See what this thing can put out." There was amusement in his voice, despite his doubts of the contraption's reliability.
