A heavy mood hung over Loki like the unwelcome signs of a brooding storm to come. The air was saturated with a heavy tension that settled uncomfortably in his lungs with every breath he took. It was nearly as painful as Stardust's aggravated screams of frustration towards him the last several days. However, as much as it tortured him to admit it, she had a point. He would not succeed alone; he needed supporters that would aid him in his conquest: taking down the nobles. Cerberus looked to the west as the rising sun's ray began to warm the night-bitten isle. However, the dark goldenrod (and striped) fafner could not feel warmth across his dark fur. Instead, a fine shiver ran up his spine as the sudden realization of what he must do dawned upon him.

Cerberus lifted his head and chest as he turned towards the villagers of Loki with a new determination. He knew they were watching him, some in admiration and others in disdain. However, they all had a curious glint in their soul that quivered softly in excitement. Finally, he would turn against the raging tides and fight.
"Who's with me?!" he cries in a thunderous voice, reaching all the Lokians. Would they join him?

A thick silence hung over the mountain as Cerberus trudged along through the rocky terrain. The conclusion of his rallying supporters in Loki had been a complete disaster, to say the least. The few Lokians that had gathered simply looked at him with a disinterested stare before going on their way. But before he could continue with his speech, Stelmaria had appeared with her army of Serpins and chased him out.

"Maybe we'll have better luck in Brynhild," Stryder chirped in. Cerberus eyed his excited companion with a wary eye - well, if he must, he would carry on this mission with just the two of them!

By late afternoon, the pair finally reached Brynhild's village. Ignoring the sudden stares and onslaught of whispers that raged through the huts as he came into their sight, Cerberus stalked confidently to the middle of the village. Finding a small rock, he perched himself on the makeshift podium and looked around at the growing number of Fafners, crying out in his thunderous voice,
"Who will join me?!"

Reno was eyeing Cerberus curiously the entire time, his tail twitching to and fro as he watched the Fafner call upon his supporters. He certainly looked confident enough, standing there above all the gathered debaters. Reno looked back at the Fafner he was with and shook his head. Whatever hope he had left for a peaceful resolution was gone now, after hearing the traditionalists and their stubborn opinions. And anyway, wasn't this exactly what he wanted? The most freedom he'd ever have was as part of the rebellion, in Reno's eyes. He slowly trotted up to the rock and nodded to Cerberus.

"I'll gladly join your cause."

That coral and cream hued Fafner named Sheherezade turned her head in the direction of the cry, being a bit of a ways off, and smiled lightly. Ah, so it had come. Or...he had come, rather. Cerberus knew well that everyone already knew of his cause, and so he proudly stood there awaiting those who would answer. She watched calmly as Reno joined...then began walking.

"I, too, will join you." she said, walking up beside Reno. 'Zade turned her eyes sideways to smile a little at Reno, before looking back up at...their leader? Well, she supposed that was what he now was. How many more would join, she wondered...

Syrith hesitated for several moments. The two fafners who had already gone to join Cerberus - for, although she had never met him before, she knew it had to be Cerberus - were not people she knew, although she had heard their opinions in the clan discussion. They had both seemed fairly reasonable. She had her doubts about Cerberus on that front, but perhaps a group of them could persuade him...

For all her doubts about the Nobles, for all her distrust, Syrith did not want outright war. Not yet. Not in the current situation. But she was ready for a change. She was ready to do something, to make something happen, to make her mark on the world. And this was her chance.

The purple and white marked fafner stepped forward, crossing from the group that had gathered to watch to the group that was forming around the dark male. "I'm with you." Head held high, she nodded to the pink female and the male from her clan who had joined Cerberus, then turned to watch the fafner himself. She would not look back. She would not allow the opinions of others to sway her. This was not something you could back out of.

Cerberus glanced around at his new entourage of willing slaves, nodding in approval as he looked each one over. Two females and a male... not a bad turnout, especially compared to the disaster at Loki (aka Stryder). Pounding a confident paw on his rock, Cerberus looked directly at the three followers. "Very well, my comrades. Now onwards to gather more support for our cause!" he announced in a booming voice, leaping off his podium and striding through the whispering crowd. Cerberus ignored the awed stares and disapproving glares from the Brynhild fafners, head held high with pride as he marched forward to spread his propoganda.

The group made their way through the Brynhild mountains and eventually the Attila Plains, Cerberus intent on reaching his destination before nightfall. He ignored the idle chatter of his companions, brain working tirelessly as he formulated plans to bring his voice to the Nobles' attention. They would listen, even if he had to storm into their strongholds and beat down all the Chevaliers in his way - they will listen.

Upon reaching Attila's village, Cerberus glanced around with a haughty look and dared any fafner to stop him. He strode confidently to the middle of the huts, like he had done in Brynhild, and eyed the gathering crowd. For a third time, he asked in a strong voice,
"Who here will join us?!"

Staring off into the distance atop a rock sat Kid. He had heard that Cerberus was coming soon and quickly decided to stay up all night until he had arrived. For an opportunity like this, he could care less about sleep and food. He will join the rebellion. Liz and Patty, sitting diligently behind Kid, were quietly dozing off. Unlike Kid, they had no interest in the Nobles, but they were determined to follow and accompany him.

After a while, some noise caught the attention of Kid and he immediately hopped off his rock to investigate. Yes, this was the moment he was waiting for. Cerberus had arrived. He heard the leader's booming voice and ran quicker. He slowed down to a refined walk since no one else was here and quietly approached Cerberus. Liz and Patty walked single file behind him. Kid looked up to Cerberus with determined eyes and bowed down before him.

"If it will please you, I, Death the Kid, will gladly join."

Quagsire walked towards the defiant call as it reached his ears. To join or not to join? He mused to himself in his thoughts as he slowly padded into view of a small group of fafners. He watched as Kid announced to a brown and gold striped fafner that he would join.

He immediatly reconised who the striped fafner was and took a couple steps forward. "I will join you."

[Wanted to put up a little resistance via Lohl XD]

Lohl emerged from the shadows of the huts cautiously, wary and unconvinced as he moved towards the small gathering of Fafners. His loping stride was quick and smooth, but had a lazy air. Like he didn't care if he ever actually arrived at his destination. His oddly whorled pelt shifted over hidden muscles, the slightest of frowns distorting his features. He saddled up the to the group, frown gradually shifting into a devious smirk. He had heard about Cerberus and his band of merry rebels. He had waited for their arrival for quite some time now. He heard the muted whisper of another Fafner in front of him, joining. Kid, it was. He had seen him around Attila a few times, but never actually spoken with him. Lohl gradually sat, tense and ready to flee even now. "I'll join." He dipped his slender snout in mild compliance. But unlike Kid, he did not bow. He stood rigid, obediant but not devoid of his own personal defiance. A leader he would serve willingly under, but nothing less would receive his approval .

Not too bad, they'd nearly doubled their supporters by coming to Attila. But Cerberus had been hoping for a slightly better turnout, perhaps because not all the clan members were present as evidenced by the small gathering. But not to worry, for even a few supporters were better than nothing. "Welcome, my Attilan brothers! Now let us all go forth and contine to spread word of our cause!"

Marching his way out of Attila, leading his seven followers to Hreidmar, Cerberus ignored the introductory chatter between his fellow rebels. He was too deep in thought, wondering if word of their rebellion would reach more ears. Maybe some were just afraid to step up and speak up. That means they'll have to gather more supporters once their cause was officially established, probably by persuading the fafners one at a time rather than questioning their loyalties in front of their entire clan.

Upon reaching Hreidmar late in the evening, Cerberus could hear the whispers even louder hear and the stares even more intense. Whether they were here to join him or rally against him, he really didn't care. He'd be in and out as soon as he found more support. For the last time, he stepped into the middle of the village and looked around confidently.
"Who will join us in our quest?!"

Nalaehi's eyes shot up when she heard the voice. Shifting her head abruptly she came face to face with the male that all of this hype was over... Staring at him she couldn't help but feel that he was more handsome than she had remembered hearing about, though still he was one to brag for all the commotion he had caused.

And yet all of this... something about it made her feel very interested in this. There would be a good fight or two, something worth getting up in the morning for, at least for a little while. Yes.. she could get into this. Stepping forward, she looked Cerberus straight in the eyes. "I am Nalaehi of Hreidmar, and I will join your cause."

Hedgie watches on from the deep dark foliage in a old and wizened oak. She watches her village and sees a black and purple Fafner step up. Hedgie wants to stay in the shadows where she is familiar and help her village from secrecy as she has always done but she knows she has to take a stand. She slowly crawls down the tree and sifts through the crowd unnoticed as far as she knows, then when she steps out of the ring of people she can feel eyes on her. She announces "And I, I will join you quest." She takes her place near the other Fafner and tries to blend in even though she sticks out. She hates having people look at her. She prefers her shadows, and secrecy. She sifts uneasily but stays in her place.

Sentinels appeared at the edge of the village, fafners that have been rallied by the Chevaliers from all four clans to gather and drive down the rebellion. They marched in perfect formation, two rows of scowling soldiers that wanted this madness to end. As the villagers moved aside to allow the Sentinels passage, they fanned out and enclosed the Rebels in a semicircle. One Sentinel walked up to face down Cerberus with a hard stare. "By decree of the Nobles, you will all return to your homes in peace."

"I do not answer to the Nobles!" Cerberus proclaimed viciously.

The lead Sentinel frowned, for he did not have a wish to fight another fafner. But he had a family, and if Cerberus would not back down, this rebellion could endanger the lives of his beloved and their home. "Then by the order of the Chevaliers, we have no choice but to take you in," the Sentinel declared as the others crouched into an offensive stance.

Cerberus quickly considered his chances and options, realizing that his small group were vastly outnumbered by the dozens of Sentinels that had come. But he would not give up without a fight, and with a quick but meaningful look at all his supporters, he retorted in a confident tone, "We refuse to be slaves to the greedy Nobles any longer, and you will never break our spirits!"

With that statement, Cerberus lept off his rock and glanced at the other Rebels, nodding for them to follow. And he quickly took off into the forest, leading his supporters north and away from the pursuing Sentinels.

The Sentinels were here. What fun. Reno pressed his ears back and let out a low growl, loud enough for only himself to hear. Surely they'd think him a traitor now, seeing as he'd chosen the side of democracy. But it didn't matter. There were better things waiting for him on the other side, and he watched alertly as Cerberus faced the Sentinels in an equally intimidating manner. Reno's eyes darted among all the other gathered followers. They were outnumbered, sure... and he knew that his (former) fellow Sentinels were mostly well trained...

No time to think now, Cerberus wants to us to get a move on, it seems he thought suddenly, watching as his new leader signaled for them to flee. A smart move, probably, considering that they were outnumbered. With a flick of his tail he was off, staying close behind his leader as he followed him into the woods.

Sheherezade glanced t'wards the approaching force with curiously blinking eyes, her tail swishing back and forth slowly. Oh? Sentinels, nothing more. She was not phased by the appearance and the threat of the Sentinels, watching the group with a placid gaze. They all should have known this would happen - if any thought otherwise, they were certainly most foolish. Admitedly, though, the speed of the response was impressive. She would have to note this for future reference.

For the moment, she was appreciative for Cerberus' vote for a retreat and followed as soon as he moved, also thinking it to be the wisest course of action. The Fafner was not yet comfortable with the idea of battle, in defense or otherwise, and would refrain from doing so as long as she was able. That may not be a very long resistance...

Her eyes narrowed. How much would this change them?
