Do you prefer download or buy the album? Do you do both, or just one? Preferred store for discs / Site for downloads? Paid or free? If you can think of anything else relevant to post here feel free to do so :3

Me, personally, I don't feel right not owning an album. I mean, it's a tangible version of my appreciation for a band/artist, as well as the fact I'm a total nazi about sound quality. I do a fair share of downloading, though, because when I'm out and about I use an mp3 player and my converter sometimes acts douchey. And I'm totally guilty of wanting just one or two songs and not wanting to spend money on it (though I have paid for like 6 downloads, I'm normally all about the freebies <3).
I think limewire is epic fail (unless you like mislabeled tracks and viruses) but I know a friend who uses it and occasionally have him fetch things for me. Just recently I joined Bearshare (it's a peer-to-peer in case you didn't know). It's really convenient and awesome -n Except the fact they've upgraded it so there's a messenger and profile and such. Stupid strangers IMing me with pointless crap. And because I'm only on there at 12:00-4:00am and forget to log out of the IMservice I've seen at least 10 people's junk talk2hand Luckily for me I has a Caleb to scare them away with :3

I mostly buy my cd's, but in certain cases when I have a single song stuck in my head, I am totally guilty of downloading those songs. And there are a few things which, unfortunately, are just not available to buy in my area (some of the newer indie bands). When I can, I'll buy their cds off iTunes, but not even that is always possible. That's when I will download an entire album.
Case in point: Secondhand Serenade. I started listening to them quite a long while back because I heard one of their songs on satellite radio. Gorgeous music. Impossible to find. Not sold anyhere, and not on iTunes. I don't buy stuff off of bands' websites, because I'm too paranoid about security. So I did end up downloading the cd, but when it (finally) got put up on iTunes, I bought it. So.... yeah.
I buy a lot of discount cds, too. Can you believe Elton John's stuff is dirt cheap most of the time?

You need to switch to bit torrents. Download utorrent from utorrent.com. Then go to awesome sites like ThePirateBay.org to find your torrents. You basically search for whatever you want, read the comments to make sure it is what they say it is, download the torrent, and double click it to open it into utorrent. Utorrent asks where to put it, then downloads it by tiny bits at a time from as many people as it can connect to.

Oh yeh... I buy the albums. If it's worth listening to more than it's played on the radio, then I want the album.

When I'm in at class I'll usually pull up some torrents, but while at home I need all the RAM I can get. Also, until recently I was on dialup and torrents were pretty much... a pile of frozen computer.
