~ ~ ~ Running around at night with net equipped is asking for trouble (or something or another). Scorpions will skree! and charge while Tarantulas hiss and lunge if they spot you with net in hand (even if you're standing still). Instead, explore your town without your net equipped (have audio present to listen for their rustling). Either creature will then flee at the sight of you (oftentimes, they will dive into the nearest body of water, effectively ending pursuit). Once you spot the creature on your screen, equip your net, walk up "behind" it and net it. Aaaannd -- schedule!-- Tarantula; June-August; 19.00-04.00; Can be found on the ground. Scorpion; July-September; 19.00-04.00; Can be found on the ground.
Be safe out there... Please. ~ ~ ~

I caught many scorpions, but can never catch the tarantula! D: But here's some tips. While you're standing still, they won't bite you. However, they will if you're standing still long enough. I learned that the hard way. D: I suggest when looking for one, have headphones on so you can hear if one's coming. Then if you see it, equip your net, but don't move if it's facing you, unless it's like insanely close to you, as in net reach length. Then I would try and get it. Good luck! :]
