Clarissa slowly descended the staircase to the dungeons, running her hand across the cool stones as she did so. Somehow, whenever she entered this portion of the castle, the temperature seemed to drop by ten or so degrees. She shivered, feeling goosebumps all over her body, and rubbed her arms to get rid of the feeling. Hells, she could see her breath now! They should really update the castle Clarissa thought, annoyed, when there was a sudden light at the top of the staircase.

"Clarissa Autumn, correct?"

Clarissa spun around, to see the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Galliton, at the top of the staircases. He was relatively young for a teacher, probably in his mid to late twenties, with dirty blond hair that seemed constantly messy, but in a decent way, and light green eyes that reminded her somewhat of new leaves on spring trees.

"Yeah, that's me," Clarissa said, blinking.

"Ah, good. Professor Snape is busy tonight, so he's had me take over your detention for the moment," Professor Galliton said cheerily. "I've been out on buisness in London, so I have quite a few things I have to take care of. Mind helping me out?"

Clarissa glanced from the dungeons to Galliton. "It beats being in the dungeons."

"Thought you'd say that! Come with me, there's a lot to do, but it should be done before your detention would normally be up, so I might be inclined to let you out early!" With that, Clarissa and Professor Galliton left the dungeons, so Clarissa could serve her detention in a place a bit less chilling.

Ichigo sat down on the cold damp stairs in the dungeon stairway. She crossed her legs thinking that it would make her legs less cold if only one was on the cold floor. Her head tilted back to see a small blond girl hovering over her. About every half a minute, Ichigo would hear water dripping into a puddle in the distance.
“Must you follow me? I not THAT Interesting!”

Ria stood there watching Ichigo. Once she was done talking, She walked down and sat beside Ichigo smiling. When her legs touched the cold floor, Ria quickly retracted her legs, bringing them closer to her body and then placed her chin on the crack between her knee’s.
“Well, I dunno. I guess I thought that we could be F-R-I-E-N-D-S… Friends~!”

“’Kay, lets get this straight. The only reason I was nice was because Lance asked me alright? And a Slyterian like…” Before Ichigo could finish her sentence, she noticed something passing by. Although it was too quick for the naked eye.

Pointing at the ‘thing’ that passed by, Ria moved closer to Ichigo and wrapped her arms around Ichigo’s left arm and didn’t let go.

Waving her arms a couple time before giving up, Ichigo sighed and looked down the hallway to see the same thing, but this time the ‘thing’ stopped. She blinked and pointed at the red, smokey thing
“G-G-G-G-Ghost!!!” Ichigo yelled out, standing up quickly as she could just about to run away but she couldn’t because of the first year wrapped around her arm.

The ghost blinked a couple times, and floated to the blond girl examined her and then floated back. Her head tilted to the side a bit and looked at the two. She was wearing a Kimoto and had two buns at the back of her head and also had two strands of hair hanging at the side. Instead of having legs, the end of her goes into a point like Genie.

Ria un-wrapped her arms and walked closer to the ghost.
“Who are you, and what are you doing here?” She asked in a genetl matter.

She floated closer to Ria and grinned.
“My name is Whisper, but the people in Hogwarts call me Weeping Whisper. Which is funny because I don’t really weep. I’m here because isn’t it close to the ball? Look me up some time alright?”

Ichigo waved her hand through the ghost.
“Hey, Back off, She’s only a First year. She has no brain activity what so ever!” She placed her hands on her hips and eyed Ria. With one hand, she lifted it off her hip and brushed back her pinkish hair.

Whisper floated closer to Ichigo and glared at her.
“And you… You must be the older sister. No? Well, Troublemaker? Fine suite yourself. I’ll just have a little fun.” She floated back a bit and turned around grinning. Her body went full blast right into Ichigo’s body and started to control her.

“Alright Blondie! Let’s go!”

"Clarissa, I really don't think this is the best idea... besides, isn't it only a rumour?" Tabitha whispered to Clarissa as the two crept down the stairs to the dungeon. Clarissa looked behind her and smirked.
"It's fine. Besides, if it's only a rumour, what's there to be afraid of? We'll just find an empty classroom." Clarissa nodded vehemently, "Or, we could come face to face with a vampire, and possibly die. Who knows?"
Tabitha shivered, and mentally started writing her will as they descended the staircase. Yesterday, a rumour had gotten out that Dumbledore was letting a vampire run the Tourney, and that said vampire was waiting out the days in a coffin located in one of the dungeons. Tabitha wasn't so sure that vampires actually resided in coffins, but regardless, she wanted to see if it was true.
She stepped off the stairs, into the dark hallway, and suppressed a shiver. A shaft of light came in from a slit of a window to her right; it was still day out, so if any vampire was in the dungeons, it would most likely be sleeping.
"But... what if we get killed or raped or bitten or something?" Tabitha shivered, walking close behind Clarissa as her dark-haired counterpart opened up doors to check inside.
"Relax. Like Dumbledore would allow any vampire to bite a student. Besides, even if you were bitten, don't you think it would be pretty bitching to be a Draculina?"
"Dracu...lina?"
Clarissa rolled her eyes. "Honestly, kid, read more manga... AHA!" She threw open a door, and Tabitha let out a squeak of terror.
All the windows were shut and the curtains drawn, and the room was lit by candlelight. On the floor in the center of the room was a wooden coffin. Tabitha cowered behind Clarissa.
"Ohmygodohmygod, we've seen it, let's just go, pleeeeeasseeee...."
"Don't be such a wimp," Clarissa scolded, though she herself was shaking. "Let's see if he's inside!"
"Nooo!" Tabitha cried as she was dragged into the room.
Clarissa sat on her knees in front of the coffin, running a hand against the smooth, dark brown wood. "Wow. When I die, bury me in a coffin like this one," she said softly.
"Shut up..." Tabitha whimpered, shaking fully. "C'mon, let's go..."
"Just a sec..." Clarissa said, placing her hands on the lid and throwing it off.
Tabitha screamed.
It was completely empty.
Clarissa blinked at it, then stood up next to Tabitha. "Well, damn it! Looks like it's nothing more than a hoax! There's no vampire here!"
"Are you so sure of that?" a voice whispered in their ears, and both of them started screaming at the top of their lungs.

"WE'RE GONNA GET RAPED!" Tabitha screamed, and the two girls ran out, still screaming bloody murder, leaving Blaise behind in the room.
"You? Hardly," Blaise said with a sigh. Stupid kids had been bothering him all day. Maybe this will teach them not to go about looking for vampires.

Blaise stood on a table, leaning heavily against the wall as he stared out tiny window at the top, watching the evening sun disappearing. The horizon sucked away the light from the world, plunging it into darkness eternal, as snow fell against the glass, piling up at the bottom. A ghostly light hung about the dungeon, broken only by footfalls behind him.
"You know, I miss the sun. I genuinely do," Blaise said sadly.
"Any vampire would, after a time," spoke Dumbledore from behind him. Blaise didn't glance back at him, but didn't respond. "Are you sure you want to go through with helping run the tourney?"
Blaise turned to Dumbledore, a fanged smile on. "I'm positive! It'll be great to run this thing, to make sure it goes smoothly, that all the children..."
"I mean," said Dumbledore, "If you'll be all right going through with it. After all... you died during yours."
Blaise was silent for a moment, his expression contemplative. Finally, he spoke; "I didn't die, not technically..."
"Still, vampirism is considered a form of undeath, and what happened in Russia can be considered worse than death itself."
I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!!
Blaise closed his eyes slowly, then said, "It will be fine. I'll make sure no outside forces can hurt them, and that they know full well what they're getting into. Yes, they might die, but that's the nature of the tourney. However, none of them will have to experience what I did. I promise you this."
Dumbledore watched him, then nodded. "Very well, I trust you, Blaise. Now, where did I leave my hat..."
Bemused, Blaise watched the old wizard - not as old as he was, but he was a vampire and considered rather young - walk out of the room, then slid down the wall to the table, eyes and fists closing over nothing.
Oh, you'll die, all right, just not until I've had my fun...
That will not happen this time, he resolved. Not even if I have to die to prevent it from happening, I will not let it happen to another person if I have the ability to stop it.
But at the moment, he had nothing to stop, for all he had to do at that point was to wait for the champions and runner-ups to arrive in the dismal dungeon.

Clarissa and Crevan entered the dungeon as darkness finally fell over the castle. At first, they couldn't tell if anyone else was in there, for some of the candles had gone out, but...
"Look! Is that guy dead?"
Clarissa gazed in the direction that Crevan was pointing, toward a table by the window. Atop it lay a slender figure, face-down on the tabletop. Clarissa blinked, and the two strode over, until finally they could tell that he was not, in fact, dead.
"Mais mama, j'adore le chausettes rose..."
"No, the bugger's asleep," sighed Clarissa, prodding the slumbering vampire with her wand. "Oi, vampire guy. Wake up."
"Je regrette, mais je ne parle pas le francais..." he growled. "Aussi, je grossis... je suis tres mal..."
"HEY! WAKE UP!" Clarissa shouted, jabbing him sharply in the right shoulder. He jumped slightly, turning over lazily.
"No, go away... come back in the evening..." he muttered, putting his arm out to wave her away. He felt his fingers brush something soft, and cloaked in fabric, before he finally opened his eyes.
Clarissa stared in horror. Crevan stared in horror. Possibly the only one who was the most abjectly horrified, terrified and altogether freaked out was Blaise himself.
He had stuck his hand on her right breast.
Blaise and Clarissa both started screaming at once, and Crevan darted under the table for shelter. Blaise's arm snapped back, but not before Clarissa's fist contacted Blaise's face.
"PERVERT!"
"It was an accident! You saw it!" Blaise shouted over Clarissa's shrieks of various obscenities and threats. "Like I would ever try to do such a thing to someone as young as you are!"
"YOU CHILD-MOLESTING LOLI-MONGERING CP-DOWNLOADING DATELINE NBC-APPEARING PERVERTED ********> Clarissa shrieked.
Blaise looked about helplessly. Was she ever going to calm down? Maybe she needed someone to explain it to her... hadn't there been a little kid with her. He glanced under the table, to see Crevan cowering there, eyes wide.
"Uncle told me about bad men like you..."
Well, he was obviously going to be no help. Meanwhile, Clarissa was screaming enough to summon an entire squadron of Aurors all the way from London. He had to think fast, he had to think...!
"I'm sorry," he said softly, looking upward at her eyes. Clarissa blinked, taking a step back. Good, good, I probably god the whole candlelight reflection thing going, too.
"I'm sorry. It's just that, being a vampire is extremely lonely. Whenever I see a beautiful girl such as yourself, I can no longer contain myself."
Clarissa stared. A dull pink was starting to flare up in her cheeks.
"So please, forgive me. It was silly, yes, and completely inappropriate, but..." faking nervousness, he reached out and took her hand, bringing it to his lips. "You just looked so beautiful just then."
This was utter bullshit; Clarissa was hot, yes, and if she had been a few years older would be a prime candidate for a joint coffin, but if it was going to save his skin, he might as well try it. He could feel her hand shaking madly, nervously, and from the throbbing of the veins in her hand, she was buying it.
"Ah... yes, that's all right. Really..." Clarissa said, flustered. "I'll... I'll just wait over here for a few minutes, until everyone else shows up..."
Blaise nodded "understandingly" as she and Crevan crept over to one of the set up seats, complimenting himself on a job well done.
At least that ******** scream had stopped.

As Tabitha neared the dungeons, she could hear screaming, shrieking, and altogether incoherent babbling at an extremely high-pitched level. She froze, halfway through a step, listening to see if she could make anything out.
"...PERVERTED ******** blinked, her hand quivering inches above the handrail. What in the world could be going on in here that would provoke such a thing as calling someone a "********?" Dimly, she remembered a previous venture down to the dungeons, in which she and Clarissa - at that point best friends - had bolted from the area screaming of rape. Perhaps someone else was overreacting in such a manner?
Now that she thought of it, that scream sounded pretty damn familiar...
Without warning, the screams ceased, and Tabitha listened intently for any sound of struggle, running, death, or whatever she was waiting for. When nothing happened, she crept down the last few steps, heading, uncertainly, for the dungeon with candlelight pouring out. She glanced inside, half-expecting to see a massacre...
Instead, it was like any other dungeon room, rather damp but awash with candlelight. A table had been pushed up against one of the walls, where that vampire Blaise lounged, and across the room was that boy, Crevan, and...
Clarissa.
"Tabby!" Crevan exclaimed, running up to her and fiercely hugging her around the waist. Tabitha looked down; DAMN he was short! It was amazing to think that the white-haired child was only four years her junior.
"Hey, Crev!" Tabitha said, purposely not looking over at Clarissa in the corner. "How's..."
"Tabby, is it true what they're saying, about how..."
Tabitha shook her head. "No, Crevvy. I'm not the Pureblood Killer, I'm..."
"No, not that!" Crevan said, shaking his head fiercely. "I mean... what they're saying about your old school reopening."
Tabitha stared at the child, unsure of what to make of it. Marshgrays... reopening? It seemed like madness... she hadn't even considered that happening. And yet, she supposed, she had felt...
"Well, I don't know if it is or isn't, Crevan," Tabitha said reassuringly. "But if it is, you can rest assure I'm going to be staying here!"
Crevan smiled, and hugged her tightly. Tabitha couldn't help but smile, despite the sudden news... if it was true, anyway.
But would she stay? She wasn't sure...
"Is anyone else ever going to arrive? It's awkward enough in the room as it is..." complained Blaise from the table.

Jeremy walked down the steps slowly and into the candle lit room. He blinked a few times, waiting for his eyes to adjust before scanning the room and the people in it.
His eyes landed on Clarissa, Tabby, a boy he did not know, and another older person, whom he automaticly guessed was the vampire that had been the buzz around the school for a while.
He walked over to Clarissa, after realizing that he really didn't know anyone else in the room and tapped her on the shoulder. His quirky smile appearing on his face
"Hey!" he said friendly, leaning against a nearby table.
"Long time no see!" He said to the girl, flicking his hair out of his eyes to open up his line of vision. The hair flick really didn't seem to do much good though, because sure enough, his bangs slowly drooped back down and came to a rest infront of his eyes once more.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 14, 2007 10:30 pm

Clarissa glanced over at Jeremy, giving a weak smile. "Oh! Hullo, Jeremy..." she said faintly, rubbing the back of the hand Blaise had taken furiously. She was still a bit bothered (Distressed? Disturbed? She wasn't sure.) about the incident earlier, but she was rapidly getting over it.
"Don't do that stupid flippy thing; you look like a cheeseball dorkus," she sighed, poking him squarely in the forehead, an easy feat due to her abnormal height.
"Hmm, I thought all chicks dug the hair flip..." Blaise pondered aloud from his table. "Anyhow now!" he continued, sliding off the table luxuriously. "Is this all we have here so far? Three people? We're supposed to have eight... four champions and four runner-ups..." He inspected the group. The two new arrivals were bound to be from different houses; one was a boy, the other a somewhat short girl with cleavage to make up for it. Hmm. Hopefully she was a seventh-year...
Tabitha slid out of Crevan's embrace, walking toward the vampire. "Err... Miste---"
"Call me Blaise," he sighed. "Or if you must, Monsieur Asdémo, though I do profess that saying the latter is a bit brown-noser-esque, n'est-ce pas?"
"Yes, well..." Tabitha blinked. "I was simply wondering... is it at all possible to, you know, drop out of the tourney?"
Blaise raised a dark eyebrow, then leaned in, poking the girl square on the forehead, much like Clarissa had done to Jeremy a few moments earlier. "I'll tell you what, kid. You find me someone to take your place, or your runner-up shows up, and I'll let you drop out, okay?"
Tabitha blinked, then nodded, taking a few steps back and rubbing her forehead furiously. His hand was cold as ice.

Jeremy raised his eyebrow and laughed, poking Clarissa back.
"Well, unfortunatly until I can get my hair cut I'll stay a cheeseball or else I won't be able to see!" He said, nodding his head.
Blinking, he looked over at blaise and shrugged his shoulders.
"I guess you can't please all girls" He kidded, laughing quietly.
He turned back to Clarissa and shifted his stance. "So anyways, whats new? Got into anything troublesome since we last talked?" he asked, not expecting to be surprised of the answer was yes. He turned briefly to the stairs as he heard a faint fall of footsteps comming down them, but turned back to Clarissa.

Chanese appeared in the doorway and walked in quietly. Her long blonde hair flowing around her as if caught by an imaginary wind. Her emerald eyes scanned the room, and landed on the only person she had cared to talk to earlier.
"Bonjour monsieur Blaise" she said in her cool collected voice as she walked into the room. She glanced around at the other people, and was unimpressed to see it was full of either little kids, losers, or people she had never met before.

Lance ran down into the dungeon . He felt like going their but he really didn’t like going down into the creepy basement like place. He kept his body close to the right wall as his hand was dragged down feeling the frozen rocky-like walls. When he was close to the bottom her could hear somebody down their. This made him go down quicker. Once he was at the bottom, Lance slowly shuffled into a corner. Yes, being invisible was a good thing . Well for somebody like Lance anyways.

"Oh yuck..." Gabriel grimaced as he pulled his hand out of a damp crack in the dungeon wall.
Making his way down the steps he tried his best to fight the smell of dampness that intoxicated him.
Scanning his eyes down the dark steps he made his way to the bottom, and into the clearing.
"I wonder if I'm not the only one late..." He whispered to himself, having completely forgot about the meeting.
His toughness showed on the outside most of the time, but inside he was petrified of the tournament. He didn't fancy getting beat up.
"What's the bloody point in looking good if you're just going to romp around and get dirty?" He whispered, shivering at the thought of himself battered and bruised.
Besides, his heart couldn't take many more beatings this... year.
"Macho Gabe buddying, macho..." and his slender figure stumbled as he anticipated another step, but met the cold ground floor of the dungeons.
With a flood of eerie silence and a few voices, Gabe sighed in relief.

//ooc: Have a note, to everyone who has to come but hasn't. I am not going to wait any longer. If this is delayed any further, it will run into other planned events. As such, if you don't show up by 6:30 PM PST TODAY, I will assume you don't care about the Tourney, and give the slot away to someone else. I don't care if you have things you have to do, I don't care if you have no way of getting on the computer, I don't care if you're caught up with something else. YOU HAVE HAD TWO WEEKS TO JUST MOVE YOUR CHARACTER FROM ONE LOCATION TO THE NEXT. TWO WEEKS. That's more than enough time.//

"Salut, Chanese!" Blaise said to the entering seventh-year with a cheerful wave. Well, at least there was someone from every house in the room now. He glanced at a conveniently-located heavy clock in the corner, reading 7:53. Seven minutes, and the briefing was supposed to begin. He glanced around a the group of students, pondering.
Without warning, the vampire slid off the table, striding toward the door and glancing outside. From what he could tell, there was one child out there in the dungeon hallway, who had apparently just hit the floor from the stairs.
"Ohoho, I hate this job..." Blaise muttered, snapping back inside the door.
"Hmm! I haven't gotten into any trouble!" proclaimed Clarissa, with a grin at Jeremy. "I've gotten way better at blaming first-years and covering up what I did! By the way, Crev," her attention snapped to the white-haired child following her around. "You have double detention with Flitwick next week."
Crevan stared, disbelieving. "I thought you said I was your favourite first-year!"
"Hey! I help you out, you help me, eh? Isn't that how it works?" Clarissa said sweetly.
Crevan just stared.
Meanwhile, Tabitha merely lingered about the clock, not having anyone she wished to talk to at that moment.
