Nakia hummed a happy tune to herself as she made her way towards the meeting place she and an old friend were going to. She had not seen Alyna in so long, so the message had been a welcome relief to her; last she had seen the brown and rainbow mare, she had been having problems with a stallion.
Nakia could only hope that everything had turned out well in end...and Aunty November hadn't turned Kalona in an attempt to get at said stallion in revenge. The mental image crossed her mind, letting a small laugh interupt the small melody she had been singing earlier. Turning around and casting an eye over the tall grass, Nakia spied the familiar blue of orange and pink as it darted in random directions. No doubt it had had seen something and was attempting to claim it as his own.
"Ri! C'mon! Leave that poor creature alone and hurry up!" She laughed before turning and continuing forward.
At the voice, violet eyes blinked over the tall grasses at the silver mare before the young colt crashed through them and raced towards his older companion. White/pink butterfly wings buzzed rapidly in a faint attempt to speed up his body, the chase from before completely forgotten.
"NANA!" His childish voice rang out with a light plead. "WAIT FOR RIYAZ!"

Alyna had indeed been having trouble. If her mother had been beside herself when Alyna had told her that she had seen a stallion...and not only seen him, but did other things with him as well, then November had completely exploded when Alyna discovered that she was pregnant. Feeling as if her daughter had been violated, oblivious to Alyna's plaintive pleas that the fault was hers as well, Alyna had been left to carry the foals mostly on her own.
But those days were over. Now, with her daughter at her side, she was going to visit her dear friend Nakia, whom she hadn't seen in many months. In a way, Alyna was nervous. She hadn't exactly had a chance to tell Nakia about Ocala...and Ocala bore only a few of Alyna's many spots. Perhaps Nakia wouldn't see the resemblance. Alyna chuckled at that thought. She grinned, figuring that whatever happened would happen, and she'd deal with it then.  Ocala, on the other hand, was just glad to be out exploring with her mother. Sharing a touch of her mother's wanderlust, there was nothing better, in her eyes, than romping around finding some sort of trouble to get into. She was not worried at all. She was simply excited to be out and about, and looked forward to whatever was about to happen.

Reaching the meeting point, Nakia took a quick glance around and confirmed that Alyna wasn't around before flopping down on the warm grass. She sighed and tucked her large wings against her body before turning her gaze towards the sky, thoughts of her own love filling her mind.
Dinyin...the laid-back stallion. He was kind and gentle, offering to her his view of the world. She smiled as his image entered her mind, surely they could be more than just crushes...hopeful-
"Nana?!"
"WHA?! Ri?!" The child-like voice bolted her from her thoughts as she snorted in alarm. Riyaz had seen her drifting and stuck his own face close to her own.
He blinked before a big grin spread across his face. His Aunty Nana was okay! Scooting backwards, the flutter happily pranced aorund before turning to stare at Nakia. "Nana?" Wings flickered slightly. "Why is Nana and Riyaz sitting here?!" He pouted unhappily; Riyaz didn't like standing still.
Nakia smiled and shifted a bit. "We're waiting for Alyna to come. I promised we'd meet today?"
"Aunty Alyna? Really?!" An excited look over-took the previous pout.
"Yes, Ri."
"YYYYAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!"

As Alyna approached the designated meeting place, she saw Nakia was already there. And a small red and orange colt, too. Alyna smiled as she saw Riyaz. He would be surprised to have a playmate. Alyna's smile brightened as she approached.
Ocala shrank behind her mother's legs, feeling a sudden bashfulness. She realized that she didn't know anything about these new Soquili, and it made her feel awfully awkward.
"Hey guys!" she called to Ri and Nakia. "Long time no see!"
Alyna wondered how they'd take the news...after all, it was a lot to take in.
Ocala stayed hidden behind her mom's leg, but couldn't resist the temptation to peek out at the colorful colt. He was such a lovely color, and had such beautiful see-through wings. She had never seen the like of them before.

Ears pricked up at the familiar voice and Nakia smiled before standing and trotting over to her childhood friend. The silver mare reached and pulled Alyna into a warm hug. "Alyna! It's been far too long! How have you been?"
As the two adults exchanged greetings, Riyaz had seen and went to investigate the flash of white and light orange that was hovering around Aunty Alyna. Bouncing over, the blur of colors became a small filly with Auntie's spots and a flower marking around her tail. Ooooooooooo! NEW FRIEND! With a wide grin, Riyaz happily pounced on the poor filly. "HIHIHIHI! I is Riyaz! Who you?" He stared at Ocala, wings flickering and with a silly expression on his face.
Riyaz's shouts caught her attention, directing it towards the foal standing near Alyna. With a gentle smile, Nakia stepped closer and lowered her head. "Aw! She's adorable!" Looking back at her friend, Nakia let a playful grin cross her face. "Is she yours? Or did you find an abandoned basket?"

Alyna embraced her friend, a sly grin on her face. "Nakia. Yes, it certainly has. I've been...well, I've been through a lot recently. But, it's for the better, I think." She grinned, watching Ri's reaction to her daughter. Alyna was glad Ri was this excited.
Ocala smiled shyly at Riyaz. "My name's Ocala." She grinned at his goofy expression, and gently nuzzled him. "Mama says you're gonna be my playmate. What do you think? Do you wanna play?"
Alyna chuckled softly at Nakia's question. "She's mine. Mine and Israfel's. She takes after her father more than she does me." Alyna motioned to the flower-marking. "Her father had that mark too. She has a brother, but he's staying with Israfel. She's staying with me, but we visit Isra often enough that she doesn't miss out on much."
Ocala brightened at the mention of her father. "Daddy? Oh, he's the best. He's a lot of fun...but I bet you guys are fun, too, right?"
