Sick and tired of being in a car. We drove forever and ever and evaaaarrrrrrr. xp I'm so happy I had some new music for the trip.
We had a great time. :] It was me, my brother, and my Mom. My brother did all of the driving.
On Wednesday we left for my Aunt's in Buffalo NY and stayed the night.
Then on Thursday we drove and drove and drove to Cleveland OH and crashed at our wonderful hotel.
Then we went to my Mom's sister's house and stayed for a few hours and talked and then went to a nifty eatery.
On Friday we spent the day at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo with my Mom's niece's and her kids (4 of 'em). We got lots of photos (with a digital camera, YAAY : D ), and got to see all sorts of animals. My favorites were the polar bears (they were soooooo cute), grizzly bears, bald eagles, the big fuzzy condor (he came right up to me and I got a great photo of him), the stingrays ( there was an exhibit where you could touch them as they swam around), and the little flamingos. I even got a really nice plush bald eagle for my collection. :3
After the zoo, we went to their house and had cake, 'cause it was my mom's birthday. They have a huge house, three adorable dogs (shelties, I think?), and a whole bunch of fuzzy little chickens. : D My brother even got a video of them, so he might put it up on the youtubes if I ask him. You get to see them trying to eat the camera and be generally cute. :3 Then we got back to the hotel really late and watched adult swim, which I never get to watch at home because I should be sleeping. XD
On Saturday, we got to sleep in and went back to my mom's sister's house for a barbecue with a bunch of our cousins. It was nice, but their place is tiny and I get really antsy being with so many people in such a small space. Especially kids. X[
One of my cousins is working on a fantasy novel and wants me to illustrate for it. : D And she goes to scifi cons with her husband and all that stuff too, so we invited them to Otakon next summer and they might come with us with thjeir daughter, too who is 13, I think. :]
Another cousin is a biker, and he wanted an opinion on some new art he was thinking of designing for his ride, involving fire with a celtic knot pattern (he's known as "Irish" in his group 'cause he's very Irish).
We spent the whole day there then got back late and watched adult swim again and passed out.
Sunday morning we checked out at around 2 and started the journey back home. We decided to stop to visit out Aunt in Buffalo again, and there was an amazing thunderstorm while we were there. Luckily it cleared up a bit as we were leaving.
Then we stopped at my brother's college real quick so he could say hi to a few friends and get subs just as the sub place was closing (it was just midnight). The lady even gave us the sandwiches for free because my brother always eats lunch there. :3
Then we finally got home around 2AM, and slept in.
UGH. No more sit in car now. xp
