.X.X. Punk stood center of the ring warming up as he beckoned Evan to come down
the ramp and enter the ring. A referee scurried into the ring from alongside of
the rampway and spoke to the timekeeper briefly before getting into position .X.X.

Bourne smiled and ran towards the ring. He slide under the bottom rope and quickly popped to his feet. Without losing momentum he attempted a quick running clothsline to Punk.

.X.X. Punk had the move scouted and ducked under Bourne's clothesline, waiting
for him to turn around to attempt to hit him with a sole butt kick to the abs .X.X.

Bourne rebounded off the ropes after his clothsline was duck. He noticed Punk attempting a kick and he quickly hopped over his kick and continued running. He rebounded off the ropes again and ran at Punk attempting a running forearm to the head.

.X.X. Punk was out of position after missing the kick, he turned around to see
Bourne coming towards him with the forearm and dropped to the mat quickly
attempting to catch one of Bourne's feet with his own for a drop toe hold .X.X.

Bourne saw the drop toe hold attempt and hopped over Punk. This stopped his momentum, he then attempted a standing moonsault onto Punk.

.X.X. Punk missed his drop toehold attempt but saw Evan turn and leave his feet
so he rolled to the side out of the way and attempted a senton onto Bourne .X.X.

Grabbing his ribs in pain after the miss of his moonsault Borune rolled out of the way just in time to miss Punk's Senton. He sprung to his feet and attempted a standing leg drop onto Punk.

.X.X. Punk landed on his lower back missing Bourne and hitting the canvas,
he saw Bourne's leg coming and scrambled out of the way, getting onto his
feet and grounding himself in a fighting stance. The fans in the arena came
to their feet, erupting in applause at the two competitors in-ring prowess .X.X.

Bourne missed the leg drop but was able to brace himself enough to roll out and pop back up to his feet. He stared at Punk with a grin as the crowd erupted with cheers around him. Bourne slowly approached Punk and offered a lock up.

.X.X. Punk returned the grin, breaking from his usual scowl as he enjoyed the fresh
in-ring competition. He accepted the collar and elbow tie-up from Bourne and
then attempted to pressure Bourne to back up against the nearest turnbuckle .X.X.

Bourne felt himself being pushed back into the turnbuckle, he pushed back and attempted to turn the tie up into a quick armdrag.

.X.X. Punk was yanked to the mat quickly and got to his feet, grabbing
his arm and attempting to return the favor with an arm drag of his own, if
successful he would try to keep Bourne grounded with a kneeling armbar .X.X.

Bourne gets armdragged then kneeled on. He struggles.

.X.X. Punk pulled back, putting his back on the mat and attempting to wrap
his legs around Bourne's other arm to transfer into a crucifix strangle .X.X.
