~WAS Nimm's cottage~
PostPosted: Sun Aug 24, 2008 6:52 pm

Quote:
He'd smile for a moment, glad someone in the world thought he was better than Kain...though his joy would fade quickly as he'd rest his head back on the couch, his eyes starring off in to space.

"If you knew em', your opinion would no doubt differ. But, it's to be expected when you can't be your own individual person. In the end, I am merely a clone, and thus will be judged as such." He'd never honesty thought of it before, but that was rather depressing. "But, thank you for your kind words..."

Nimm listened to him, frowning slightly as he seemed depressed still. She smiled slightly and nodded at his thanks. "Any time, I speak only the truth." She knew in the back of her mind that she couldn't really speak the truth if she only knew about this Kain person from here say, but still. An odd thought struck her though, and she found herself verbalizing it before thinking it through. "I probably won't ever meet Kain, will I?" she asked.

"Meet Kain? Honestly, I wouldn't doubt you would. He had this way of meeting just about everyone and having some crucial influence on them...he's a very charismatic figure that dreads not knowing everyone and everything. For him to take interest in you would be as simple as mention of myself in connection to you. Ravyn n' that idiot beast are both at his castle now; no doubt one or the other will say something, and in the end Kain will ruin the silence of the darkness. AGAIN."

He'd sigh...Kain wasn't a bad person per say, but it wasn't like he was Mr. Righteous either. He knew that Kain would catch on to Nimm's bloodline like a freakin' bloodhound and pelt her with question after question, ending their peace and silence. He enjoyed the fact that the only noise about him was his own voice, Nimm's calming voice and nature. Worst of all...he knew Kain would no doubt try to absorb him again, a thought that made him look directly to Nimm with fear in his eyes and voice, though he tried to play ignorant with her.

"Nimm, do you have anything to drink here? Juice, water, lemonade...anything along the 'refreshing' lines?"
PostPosted: Sun Aug 24, 2008 8:20 pm

Nimm watched him as he explained a bit, catching that look he gave her before asking about something to drink. She blinked, wondering about the switch in subject but nodded a bit. "I'm not sure whats in teh fridge, but there's a water pump outside that's pretty cold."

She made a mental note to ask about the look he gave her later, not wanting to bring up teh subject again for now.

"Water...pump?" He'd quickly jump to his feet and dash outside to this strange pump, looking to the bucket, then to the pump. It was rather perplexing to think that the people of this planet still had such arcaic tools from his time.

Soon enough, he'd return with a bucket of water, though he'd actually sit down in a chair this time, though he'd still fail to put on a damn shirt. He'd begin to chug down the water, taking in several gulps worth before setting the bucket down and looking to Nimm.

"So, what do we do from here? We're all rested up, but...I'm not quite sure we need to really go anywhere. Our next move, if there is a next move, is all up to you." With what he wanted said now in the open, he'd drink in a few a more gulps.

Briefly Nimm wondered if he'd heard of a water pump before, given the way he said it. She then shook her head as he left, as she realized yes he had, probably several given the many years he'd lived. She looked around the room as he went out, eyeing some of the pictures that had been replaced on the mantle and wall. She looked to the bedroom door of her parents room and noticed a lack of a bullet hole. She smiled realizing that the house had gone back to what it was before the chaos.

She looked up as Singe came back in with the bucket of water. She hadn't thought much about what to do next, come to think of it. The question she wanted to ask swam around her head a moment, but she pushed it aside with a shake of her head. "I'm not really sure. We could stay here, or head back to the woods. I'm up for anything right now, got too much energy when I wake up." she admitted, smiling slightly.

He'd smirk and place his foot on the bucket, rocking it a bit. "Way to be indecisive..." He couldn't blame her. It was strange; he'd never lived a life where he could dictate his own events instead of having just fall from the sky to cause drama...though Kain would inevitably do that eventually, a thought that had him a bit riled for a few moments.

But, he'd quickly calm himself. "Well, Ravyn n' Ishado are both absent from the woods. Think: You've got infinite power at your disposal, via me. Is there anything you've always wanted to do? Or is there any way you've always wanted to rebuild this place? I can give you anything you want, but you have to let me know WHAT you want first." With that, he'd realize he contaminated the water as stuff fell from his boot in to his water. This made him sad.

Nimm blinked as she watched him, she was use to reading people's expressions and body language, it was the one thing few people knew how to hide well, and it was a good way to know what people were thinking for the most part. He had tensed up again, only for a moment though, so she was left wondering if it were simply a spasm of the muscles.

She tilted her head slightly. "I don't like asking people for things though, it feels awkward especially if they've already done more then I could ask for." she smirked. Moving a bit she stood up and stretched a bit. "I have to admit that being indoors for so long is a bit different for me though. Getting kind of antsy." she admitted and looked out the window for a moment. It was dark again. "Think I'll head outside and practice a bit." she smiled.

"Practice what? I know you have your powers, and no doubt there's plenty of dexterity to that body of yours, but...what is there to practice?" He'd arch a brow at her...then chuckle a bit. "You know, it's pointless asking. I suppose you'll show me, wouln't you?" With that, he'd make his way out the door with haste given he was already so close to the door. And, of course, he had his staff in hand.

"Practice...maybe she's on to something. If I've got the power to at least repel if not kill Kain, then there's no way he can corrupt her!" A mental note, one that brought a grin to his pale lips. For a split second he close his eyes, and when they'd open they'd almost flare with a newborn fire. During this time he'd have the staff in his right hand, which would be stretched out. the three black rings would form back in to the scythe blades, and he'd begin to wait. Training was never a bad idea, and a partner was even better. If he could use Nimm to better his own skills with this heavy-a** weapon and he could somehow help her out...well, it'd just make him happy.

"The only reason I have the dexterity I do is because I practice everyday. But I was hoping you'd help me out with some different practice today." She smiled as she hopped up to stand on a rail of fencing that wrapped around the house. She stood on it as if it were wider then what it was, seeming to have a rather good sense of balance. "You mentioned before that I could do other things, but that it was...dormant, right?" she crouched and tilted her head a bit. "Could you teach me how it works?" she asked, not entirely sure if it was going to work or not.

"Dormant abilities differ from person to person. You control over fire may differ greatly from mine. I can easily create a spread or even a stream of flame using no more than my pyrokenisis alone. But..." He'd jump high in to the air and begin a nosedive, and in the middle he'd extend his free left arm, palm open. From his palm he'd exert a massive amount of heat, the exertion breaking down his momentum until he could simply back flip and land next to her on not only one foot, but his toes as well.

"We can all use our proper element to our advantage. Take Kain, for example. He, like us, is a fire elemental, though he'd never admit it. He dreads fire so much he uses his control over it to create a barrier FROM it, thus allowing him to be forever cold. What you just saw me do should be simply; gather your power and exert it. It'll take some practice, but you'll increase your dexterity by hundred-folds if you can keep it up. Why fly when you can jump high and walk on the air?" He'd look to her with a mischievous grin, his scythe beginning to glow.

Nimm watched, standing on the beam and turning as he landed on the beam next to her. 'How do I gather something that I've never used before?' the thought made her frown slightly as she tried to figure that out. Singe made it look easy. She looked as the glowing of his scythe caught her eye, then to him as he grinned. "Your planning something aren't you?" she asked, smiling slightly.

"I've always got something planned. I'm not one to allow wind to just guide me...I'd rather not risk hitting a wall." He'd smirk, though his face would soon change. How to gather an energy you have without ever having done it before...that one he really didn't know. He just his a** kicked until he finally did it...it also helped to have Kain's memories.

"I'd suggest meditating a bit. The powers in there somewhere, but if you can't find it, you can't summon it. I'd suggest finding a nice, cold place, and try to pinpoint that fire within you, and then summon it. For some reason, when you find it, it's like you suddenly gain knowledge of how to unleash it. If that's doesn't work, I have more painful methods. All up to you!"
PostPosted: Tue Aug 26, 2008 3:48 pm

Nimm gave a nervous smile. "I don't particularly like pain." she pointed out. moving she took a few steps back on the beam, closing her eyes to think a moment, she paced a bit. "A cold place.....the cliffs near the ocean are pretty cold from the water, and the cave in the woods where I stay." she stopped walking and opened her eyes to look at Singe. "I'd ask why a cold place, but I guess that's self explanatory." she smiled.

Moving she flipped back to walk on her hands and then bend back to land on her feet on the ground. "I can't burn myself doing this can I?" she asked.

"Good question. I can't say I've ever hurt myself playing with fire, but you might be special or something. There's no telling what you'll do, or what effect it'll have." He'd watch as she moved about like an acrobat in the circus and chuckle a bit, wondering if she was just trying to show off or not.

"You'll have to meditate alone in the cave...I can stand outside and keep guard, as well as be there in case something goes wrong with you, but I cannot be close enough to distract you. Do you understand, Nimm?"
