Dios entered the tavern in Rodasia((lol)) and went straight to the barkeeper, "I'm with a private party...room #12."

The barkeeper waved a maid over and spoke to her quietly before nodding to Dios and indicating he should follow the young blond girl.

"My thanks." Dios said, inclining his head slightly.

He followed the girl through a door near the bar and down a hall, stopping at a door labeled with a rusting metal number in the shape of '12'.

"Will that be all my Lord?" the serving girl inquired.

"For the moment, yes. Thanks." he replied, before opening the door and entering the room.

Dios paced the room for several minutes before growing bored and beginning to snoop through the drawers. In one he found a religious looking book, in another he found a partially eaten apple (rotting, of course), and in a third he found a stationary set covering a small box of sheepskin condoms.

"Odd collection of things," he said to himself.

He paced for a few more minutes before finally deciding to go back to the front of the bar and order a drink to pass the time. He exited the room and walked back down the hallway towards the front, intent on not wasting the evening away from his paperwork waiting for his compatriots to show up. They were all already a half hour late.

He entered the front of the tavern and walked up to the bar to ask for a drink.

"'scuse me, but what do you have back there that...bites?"

He picked up the glass, stuck his tongue out to taste the mint leaf, and then tipped the whole thing back. The liquid burned so fiercly that it felt like his throat was indeed being bitten by a horrible flame. Despite this, he didn't show much a reaction other than to sigh in satisfaction.

"Thanks, but it's not quite to my taste," he said, eyeing her cleavage, "and I like my drink with a little fire in it too."

He placed the empty glass back on the bar, "So, how's business tonight? Seen anything strange?"

Temple of Latera, Katrynn.

Katrynn's Valkyrie Captain stood in the chamber. A Usara Sage was there... she was guessing he was one of their strongest and wisest, along with his own Einherjar escort.

"Captain. It is time." The Sage said. Siriyana nodded as the portal was opened with arcane words. "We don't know where this goes. You're one of our best. Good luck."

Siriyana stepped through the portal, and experienced such excrutiating pain, that even she, with her pain tolerance couldn't take it. And she found losing an arm to be a minor inconvenience in a training accident.

Rodasia, above the inn
When she came around, the wind was tearing at her wings and armor. When she opened her eyes. She found herself about thirty feet from a rooftop. Her enhanced reflexes kicked in, she immediately spun herself, up righted and snapped her wings open to catch the air.

They caught the air. Too much, actually, and proceeded to snap, the bones could not simply support the strain. A panicky mistake, she noted. Just like a child learning how to stop.

A Roof? was the thought she had when she proceeded to smash through it and plummet through the floor and into the basement, miraculously missing everyone, and except for a chair, all the furniture too.

Yeah. A roof. Thanks a lot guys. she grumbled to herself as she felt most of her bones broken. Oh, they hurt like a massive sumbitch alright... but she could also feel them knitting and setting themselves immediately. She forced her body to obey her command of tending to the wings last, and she stood up shakily.

Then she remembered the pain from the portal, and promptly threw up. Holding onto a wine cask, she moaned lightly before looking around.

Spotting the stairs, she blinked at how they were the same scale as she was.

Wait. Civilization. Civilization. Well now. That made things interesting.

Hobbling to the stair case, she was forced to use the casks as a crutch.

Damien swept into the room followed by his ward, the young wind mage, Morphia, who surveyed the room with the slightest hint of a smile as she took a seat at the bar.

Damien's eyes were like ice, still and cold, as he settled down onto the stool next to her, and across from Dios. Carefully averting his gaze from the stranger, he instead focused on the barmaid. His full lips twisting into a seductive smile, as his eyes roamed across her full curves.

"We're here for a small get together. Room number twelve if I remember correctly..."

Dios' ears perked slightly at the sound of the newcomer saying '12'. He observed the two newcomers briefly, noticing that the male was checking out the barmaid and the girl looked at him disapprovingly.

"Room 12? So, you're one of the..." he was interrupted by a crash of something heavy falling through the roof, "what the hell was that?"

Damien jerked to his feet with a creak of leather, sliding his sword free of the scabbard, and pushing Morphia behind him so fast that she tumbled to the floor with an angry gasp, "What the-!"

He watched as some sort of winged creature, A giant bird?, crashed down through the ceiling and the floor. Moving foreword slowly, he peered down into the basement, wrinkling his nose at the sour stench wafting up from the gloom. There was a great deal of muffled curses before the vaguely humanoid shape stood up and began hobbling towards the stairs.

Damien glanced over at Dios, and gestured towards the stairs with his sword, his eyes charged with hidden meaning.

Dios nodded at Damien as he briefly paused in his walk towards the hole to help Morphia up. Reaching over his shoulder, Dios pulled the huge b*****d sword out of it's scabbard attached to his back, holding it with two hands. He then continued advancing towards the hole, halting next to Damien.

"Hello?" he called into the hole, sword ready to strike should the creature be hostile.

More unintelligable words came down the hole she made. The Huscarl Captain hugged the wall, her enhanced sense straining. She heard heartbeats all around her, heard the drawing of steel. She heard the door mechanism work, and the door open.

Captain Aventhel's sword was in her hand before she even though of drawing it.

It was apparent from the Captain's appearance that she had been through quite a trip, and the roof and floor were insult to injury.

"Kusada tuvan oris arei!" The Valkyrie shouted. "Drop your weapon now!"

Siriyana blinked. Then the smell of alcohol reached her. She lowered and sheathed her sword assuming there was no threat. She did not, however, leave her guard down. There were still unknowns upstairs, one of them well armed.

Okay, well-armed was an overstatement.

Pretty damn wasted. Aventhel thought while her body 'told' her that the majority of the damage she sustained was already healed, and that the wings were beginning to mend themselves in front of the drunken woman.

The wings themselves were pretty badly stripped, the feathers torn away, and punctured in multiple places. They began to fix themselves many times faster then ordinary. Ive, if she were able to pay attention, would watch how seemingly absurd they seemed to regrow.

Such was the power of a Shield Valkyrie.

Dios, having sheathed his sword at the 'request' of the apparent owner of the inn, watched in mild astonishment as the wings of the stranger repaired themselves before his eyes.

"That's an...interesting trick," he said to her.

He observed as the flesh knit itself back together and feathers slowly began to push themselves outwards. Before too much longer, the wings were completely healed.

"Really interesting, where are you from, I don't think I've seen your species before...?" he asked.
