The Owlery
Both the school owls and the students' owls live in the Owlery, which is a cold and drafty circular stone room at the top of the West Tower. The windows do not have glass so the owls can easily fly in and out. The floor is covered in straw, owl droppings, and the regurgitated bones of small animals. Hundreds of owls of every kind sleep on perches that rise up to the top of the tower. Any student can use the school owls to mail letters and packages.
If an owl is injured, Hagrid, the Care of Magical Creatures teacher, nurses it back to health before it returns to the Owlery.

Dameon cursed as he entered the owlery and was almost hit by a falling drop of white. He looked around for his great-horned owl and spyed her, sleeping. Vesta looked like she was enjoying her nap, so he leaned against one of the few clean corners and starred out at the magnificent grounds of Hogwarts.

Hana had seen Dameon enter the owlery and debated going up there. She didn't want to seem like she was stalking him, but oh well. She wanted to tell him about her date.
Hana climbed up the stairs carefully and walked quietly over to Dameon. She put her fingers in front of his face and snapped. "Guess what." She said.

He jumped, despite himself. He turned around to see Hana and he felt his heart beat faster almost immidiately. "What?" he said, trying not to sound too curious.

Hana had a completely straight face, "You have to guess," her lips twitched a little bit.

He smiled crookedly. "Um....you're training a Blast-Ended Skrewt how to do a backflip." He remained where he was, careful to keep distance between them.

His heart sunk deep into his chest, creating a crater which he was not sure would stop feeling as heavy as it currently felt. But he smiled again. "That Jonathan guy you've been hanging out with?" he asked.

Hana smiled. "Yeah. We're going on a date." she paused then looked up at him. "It would be good for me. You know? You can't take me to Hogsmeade, or take me on dates." she reached on and poked him in the shoulder. "So don't get all huffy, 'kay?"

He knew he had to be the tough one, the teacher, the adult. "Hana...we have nothing. We are nothing," he said with sad eyes. He looked off to the grounds again, picturing it sixteen years ago, and said, "This Jonathan boy will be far better for you than I ever will be." Was this what inconfidence felt like? No, not him! Surely not...not the man who could get any woman and chose this girl. "And I think we both know that." He looked at her, searching her eyes.

Hana grin soon turned to a scowl. "Oh? So thats it? Then tell me something," she crossed her arms "Why did you ******** me?" He nose was turned up into a sneer.

He looked at her disdainful expression. "Hana, it's not that simple," he said, taking her arms and uncrossing them. He was now holding her arms and he longer to wrap himself in them, to come together like atoms. "Just because we have nothing doesn't mean I don't feel something."

Hanas brows furrowed. "So what does that mean then?" she didn't move to touch him or comfort him. She wanted straight answers.

"It means that I want to be able to get to know you, to have you as mine, but that's not what you want, and quite frankly, the situation I'm in doesn't really help. Don't you see? It's difficult for me as you are the one who wields all of the power." He couldn't stand it any longer; he moved his arms from hers onto her back, drawing her close, burrowing his face in her neck, feeling her hair tickle his nose.
