The sun had started to set in the skies above, the daylight growing dim as the sun threatened to vanish behind the distant mountains. Nariko had no thoughts of danger traveling alone after night fall, she knew she would be able to hold her own against most foes. She snorted slightly as the breeze blew, twisting the locks of her mane and tail as it passed by. She wasn't the friendliest sort of soquili.

She did know, hoever, that she needed to find a place to bed down for the night. It didn't look much like rain, so cover wasn't a nessesity. She stopped for a moment and surveyed the surrounding area. The mountains in the distance gave way to a heavily wooded area, surely there would be place for rest nestled away there. If anything, Nariko would welcome the cover of folage to hide her against unwelcomed strangers. Her ears flitted quickly, she then began her way to the woods.

The wind caused his mane to ripple out like a proud banner in the wind, snapping and asserting itself against the element, the curls bounced and tugged happily, wind was one of his favorite pleasure. He enjoyed the gentle and yet firm feel of it, used to love the currents in the sky but those days were long past.

He wasn't used to being free like this, yet he felt trapped almost stuck in a form that wasn't his own. He sighed and tossed his mane and looked into the sky, eyes sparkling as he shook his head. Damn them, they'd taken what was his, for doing something he believed was right..

Fickle faes indeed, his tail flicked as the fading sunlight caught on the colors on his back, where his wings had once sprouted from proudly now they laid almost lifeless on his back. His ears were perked forward as he listened, still very weary of others from his years of being around other faes, he took each step carefully as he made his way through the thickets of the forest, as nightfall was taking its stance over the land, the stallion was looking for a place to rest for the night.

Rain didnt seem like it'd fall this night, but weather was even more fickle than a mare scorned so he'd not take the chances to become drenched if it rained this night. The sound of twigs breaking under another's hooves caught his attention, ears stood up straight as grass green orbs flashed looking around.

Caught in her own thoughts, she almost didn't catch the scent that floated with the wind. Her nostrils flared momentarily, she stopped, her head lifted to follow the trail. Her golden eyes peered out into the dusky distance, she wasnt' sure what she was looking for other than a stranger. Her stance widened just a bit as she prepared to make herself look slightly larger than she was, her wings spreading out slightly to help in this illusion. One thing she had learned, the larger you looked, the less likely you were to find trouble.

Faintly, her eyes caught a glimpse of white. From the distance, she couldn't make out the brilliant orange and red colorations, nor could she tell the gender of the stranger. From the scent, she would say stallion, but she could be mistaken. Her eyes followed the stranger as he moved along, then stopped. He apparently had noted her presence as well.

Nariko wasn't a fan of company, nor was she much of the social butterfly. She hoped, that whomever it was, shared the same preferences.

He wasnt much of a social butterfly himself, well not anymore these days but after weeks of being company less, one found themselves drawn to another like a moth to a flame. Lifting his muzzle, he sniffed at the air, catching the others scent, the mares scent he was drawn to her like a glittering flame.

He made his way towards the unknown mare, though as he neared he couldnt help but tilt his head at her puffed out state. She looked like she was almost twice his size! Did she think he was going to munch her for a snack or something? He shook his head, a slow smile touched his features as he paused a short distance away.

"Salutations.." He called out, his tones were definitely masculine but held the underlining tones of a gentlemen, he wasnt one for being a rake around mares.

He had spotted her, she huffed to herself slightly. She didnt' like company, but she tried her best not to be rude, even though she often failed. "Merry Met, Stranger." her voice wasn't friendly, but it wasn't offending either. Her face held no expression.

As the stallion drew closer, she could make out that it was defiantely a stallion, and by his actions and greetings, he didn't pose a threat. Nariko eye'd him cautiously, drawing her wings back into her body. Red locks of hair fell into her face as her head turned, surveying the stallion and the area behind him, looking for others that might be lurking.

She stood there silent, she wasn't one for conversation, as far as she was concerned, this stallion could go on his merry way and leave her be. She waited to see if he had any inquiries or if he would move on.
