This is a place for just the Professors and staff of Hogwarts. Students are not permitted...Detention will be given to those students who enter without permission.

"New students, even better." Dameon had just entered the lounge with parchment filling his arms, unorganized. "And new faculty. I'm Dameon Charcro, Defense Against the Dark Arts. You?" He dumped the parchment on a desk, where with a flick of his wand, it stacked itself up into a neat pile.

Rai smiled and chuckled. "Is this your first year? It's not so bad, most of the kids are quite charming." He stood up and extended his hand "I'm Rai Tenjo, Charms Professor."

Dameon shook it and noticed that Rai had a firm grasp. He smiled back. "Um, I'm going to wait to pass judgement on that one. I'm new to the whole teaching job. Hogwarts asked me to come, said the position was jinxed or something. Can you clear up that muddle for me?" He released Rai's hand, and sat down in the chair across from him.

Rai sat back down on the couch and smiled sadly. "Well, it seems like all of the Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers just seem to...Well die. Or leave. They never stay for more than a year." he thought for a moment. "People used to think it was because or the Dark Lord, but he's gone now. You'll be fine. Just don't let those kids bully you around!" He chuckled warm-heartedly.

Dameon half-laughed. "Well, thanks for that. Exactly what they wouldn't tell me and I got different versions form everyone else who I asked. Straight forward. That was nice for a change. So have you been working here long?"

Rai smiled. "I was hired after the fall of the Dark Lord. So I've been here for about three years. You grow quite attached to your students." he nodded and looked up, "So are you excited about teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts? That seems to be a lot of students favorite class. You'll have your hands full." He nodded again, more to himself than anything. "Don't let them get away with much, or they'll take advantage of you." he laughed.

"I wouldn't doubt it. I won't let things get out of control. I've designed a pretty leniant course, but it's filled with important keys and plenty of practice. I'm rather excited for it myself, actually. I'm going to do my best to live up to those professors before me. Hopefully....not die up to them. Damn, I'm too tired to even be clever," he sighed, closing his eyes.

Rai smiled. "I'm sure you'll be fine." he looked at the clock and noticed that it wasn't that late, "Did you have a long trip? Or perhaps it's just the new environment?"

Dameon smiled without opening his eyes. "Time difference," he stated. "I gave a lecture in Canda, and even with Apparation, there is still the hours that I have yet to sleep. Forgive me," he said, cracking open his left eye. "I'm just exhausted. No travel for this job, right?" he joked, even though his gut churned acid as he realized that it was not even remotely funny, that once again, he was incapable of intelligence at the moment.

Professor Binns walked into the faculty lounge, with several books piled unsteadily in her arms. Her attention was so focused on steadying the pile she was un able to notice the chair infront of. Before she knew it, she a bright light in front of her. It took a few minutes to realize she was looking at the chandiler on the ceiling, due to the fact that her glasses were lost in the mess, and her books were scattered all around her. Cursing she lifted herself up onto her knees and rubbed her head. Unaware of anyone being in the room.
