chiv{a}lry chiv∙al∙ry (shĭv'əl-rē) – noun, plural chiv∙al∙ries 1. the sum of the ideal qualifications of a knight, including courtesy, generosity, valour, and dexterity in arms. 2. the rules and customs of medieval knighthood. 3. the medieval system or institution of knighthood. 4. a group of knights. 5. gallant warriors or gentlemen. 6. Archaic. a chivalrous act; gallant deed.
Middle English "chivalrie," from Old French "chevalerie," from "chevalier," knight. ~~~ composed by GriffinFireThe skill to ride a horse, to wield a lance; The courtly manners of a noble grand. The courage to defy Dame Fortune's chance; Humility to obey lord's command. The strong hand offered to a maiden meek Or to a gentle youth of tender years. But little time to rest, the quest to seek, And little spoken of our many fears. The sword that stays the blow from villain's throat, Though we may think that he deserve it not. Accepting ev'ry yield without a gloat, For our dishonor never is forgot. The keeping of a burning love as dead, For the belov'd is to another wed.

griflet - speaks Czech(?), Latin, Italian, English, French - uses the surname "Ruzicková" when needed - guilt over being treated well by Sionek, especially when in presence of those Clockwork Sorrows discarded as failures - devoutly Catholic, though without trying to enforce it on others
