Ive always said to would be cool to have the American Bad a** back. I'd love it if he changed back to that.

Guys there's a reason that he can't do that. The American Badass got buried in the aformentioned match. He is "dead" in the WWE, which is why he is the Deadman. If he were to come back that would be equivalent to bringing back Paul Bearer...except without the freaky face.

Wait. Didnt the Current Taker 'die' a few years back? Shouldnt that mean we get a new gimmick? Trying to figure this out hurts my head.

"The Deadman" died before the "American Bad a**" in a buried alive match. and brought him back so they could bring back any gimmick they want.
