Zoran had been pretty young when he had first stumbled upon the En Gedi. Young and adventurous, Zoran had found himself lost, but fate has seen to it that he found his way safely, to a place of peace. So why in a place of peace would he need to be trained? Zoran grumbled as he scratched at his growing tuft of a mane. It seemed like he was just settling in to the place, when next thing he knew he was undergoing routine training. Zoran was a little less than serious about it -- preffering to do his own thing -- however he would, begrudgingly comply,...al the while giving said trainer a hard time. Intentionally. Asking stupid questions, acting like a goofball,... He had to have some fun didn't he?
A grumble, a boyish growl, and a flick of the tail later, Zoran had his itch finally satisfied, and now he sat, waiting for the same 'ol routine. nah, he wouldn't make Eyal search for him today....again. Heh, heh.

Eyal marched up to the training area with a small growl. He assumed that he'd have to go searching for his charge. He came forward, pleasantly surprised to see Zoran actually waiting. Still that didn't always mean he was going to behave. He let out a gruff sound as he sat in front of the juvenile. "Zoran..." He greeted roughly, "Glad to see you actually decided to show up. Are you ready for today's lesson?"
He smirked. "Today we're going to learn how to face more then one opponent in battle."

"Yeeeeeaaaah" Zoran said with a streatch. "Didn't really feel like running today." the golden juve' said with a smirk of his own, and the ever-present look of challange in his ruby eyes.
"More than one? Bring it on!" Zoran said confidently. He tried not to place any doubt in himself - he belived that if he believed he could do it, then he could. He wasn't one to get himself down,..though that often meant he blew his own abilities out of proportion. hey -- kid dreamed big.

Eyal gave a snort, baring his teeth slightly. "Good. I don't want to waste time chasing you."
At the cub's confidence he gave a wider smirk. "Oh? Ready for that already? First thing is first, kid. You need learn a strategy. When facing multiple attackers you must learn to pick out the weakest and the strongest. Its better to take out the weak ones then go for the stronger. Though some enjoy going for the strongest then taking out the weak. I prefer the latter but that's only for skilled fighters."
He started to pace around Zoran. "Your first order is to try and defeat me. A sparing match. Remember what I've taught you. The mane is too strong to bite through, go for the legs and the eyes to disable your opponent."

Heh, yeah, strategy. Zoran didn't have the sharpest mind. Spurr of the moment strategy wasn't his strong point, but the chance to beat his teacher's hide? Oooh yeah. Like he said, 'bring it on!'
"And just what you gunna tell the others when they see you all banged up and limpin' eh? Gotta story for that already, mr. Stratagist?" Zoran lifted a browm smirk ever present as he crouched down playfully with his hind end in the air, tail swishing. Ah, still such a cub.

The adult gave a smirk. "Oh, I'll think of something..." He returned starting to circle around the youngster. This would be a quick match. He decided to see exactly what the cub could handle.
His green eyes seem to glow with a dark intent as he lowered his head, pausing to hunker down and prepare himself. Wait for it... He waited a few minutes before letting out a explosive roar, lunging at Zoran, claws extended. He was aiming to pin, not to harm.

Zoran made sure not to leave his back unguarded - a lesson easily enough learned, and easier still to remember. It was the roar which caused him a moments flinch, the slightest hunkering of his body closer to the ground. As Eyal lunged, Zoran kept close to the ground, whipping foward. With any luck, he'd manage to go under Eyal, and Eyal over him, and them land on opposite sides. It was a decent enough plan, but would it work? if it did, the moment both left their backs unguarded to one another would be dangerous, and it would be whoever could prove the swifter,...

Eyal landed behind Zoran and blinked. Ah so he was learning and now they were both in a dangerous position. He let out a soft growl and turned to see if the cub still remained, ready to take advantage of his position. His actions were hesitated. He wanted to give the cub a chance to all least prove himself able to fight.

Zoran rose up on his back legs and swirled around, a move momentarily leaving his belly open, but claws exposed, looking as if he were lunging for Eyal, but falling short. "Raaah! C'mon! Bring it on!" Zoran said, baiting him, crouching down.

Eyal chuckled. The kid was trying at least. He had the spirit for it. "Oh? You might not want to challenge someone bigger then you." He warned then crouched down as well before batting at him with a well aimed paw. "Don't leave your self exposed then offer a hit by your opponent. That position your in is easy to knock down."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. 've heard it aaaall before, teach," Zoran replied, feinting another lung, then aiming a blow to the older lion's nose, all the while with ruby eyes alight with playful spirit. It was all fun and games for him.

"Hearing it all before and not following what you've been taught is a good way to get killed." He easily dodged the blow to his nose. It was time to prove his point. He stood and gave a harder bat a the cub, not bothering to slow his speed. If he was going to learn, he was going to learn the hard way it seemed.

Zoran rolled his eyes and huffed a sigh. He really wsn't all that patient when it came to teachers and learning. The blow brushed him, as he rolled out, and got to his feet, ears flat against his head.. "Yeah, well maybe I don't wanna fight." He said over his shoulder, as he slowly took a step away from the older lion.
Zoran liked to play. All the seriousness only served to het him in a bad mood.
