Under the watchful gaze of her father, little Eeva stepped out into the sunshine, scrunching up her tiny little nose and blinking out across the land. The breeze smelt fresh and the air was clear and suddenly she realised that there was so much more to the world than the stuffy little den she'd been sharing with her family.
She lifted her head, drew both ears forward and giggled as the orange feather flapped into her face.
Apparently an Ela'wadiyian wasn't complete until they had the feather clasped to their ear. So now Eeva was complete, feather, tattoos and legs strong enough to tackle the world.
Or...a little part of the world in any case.
She glanced over her shoulder to see if the others were going to surface, beaming up at her father's smiling, blue eyes. He'd already warned them not to go far and she wasn't about to disobey, not after they'd finally agreed that they could go out.
"Hurry! Hurry!" She squeaked in encouragement.

When Eeva had called back for them to join her, Taladu had scrambled out to join his sister's exploration as quickly as possible. They were going out to see the world! Finally, they were going to be able to see something besides the little den they called home.
Stopping beside his sister in a couple of clumsy steps, he looked to her with a bright smile, glad to be included on this little trip. "I'm here!" He offered excitedly, though still in a rather quiet matter; though Taladu wasn't at all a silent cub, he was far from being the loudest of the bunch.
Flicking at his own feather-matching both his and his father's eyes- Taladu glanced back to the den, with a flick of his tail and raised ears. Smiling brightly, he decided it best to also encourage the others in coming.
"Come on! We don't want to waist the day!" He chirped, hoping that a second vote would rile the others into coming.
They had time to explore; how absolutely fantastic!

"I'm coming, don't go too far without me!" Had it not been for his tiny cub voice, anyone could've be mistaken for thinking that it was Eeva's father talking. It was in fact her younger brother Taradhia, who's soft purple eyes were now firmly fixed on his sister.
Despite the fact that he was younger than her, he felt somewhat responsible for his sister. Most likely because she was the only girl in the litter. Likewise, he felt somewhat responsible for his younger brother, simply because he was the youngest. If he thought about it for long enough, Taradhia could probably think of some excuse to feel responsible for his older brother as well.
Smiling, he quickly joined his siblings outside. The surrounding area was massive. It would probably take them weeks to explore all of it. "Where should we go first?"

"Yay Tala-Tala!" She chirped, reaching up to bat at his feather with an extended paw. The girl - who very much looked like her mother - smiled wide and tipped an ear back as Taradhia called out to them.
She turned to face the white cub, blue eyes bright with excitement. Her eyes were darker in shade than her father's and certainly not the colour of her mother's unusual eyes. They were the colour of a deep summer sky. Bright, warm and welcoming.
At Taradhia's question she scrunched up her nose again and did a full turn, surveying the area with a critical eye. Where should they go first? Every direction led to the unknown, offering secrets that she desperately wanted to explore. But she couldn't be everywhere at once so they had to make a decision.
Apparently someone else was going to make the decision for them.
A brightly coloured butterfly swept past the three gathered cubs and, intrigued, Eeva leapt after it. "This way, this way! Follow the...thing!" And laughter, clear and pure, rang free.

Laughing at his sister's enthusiasm, Tala opened his mouth to say something, but turned back when Tara called for them. Where to go...? It really was a good question. His attentions once more rested on Eeva, bright and chipper as always, exploring the area for somewhere to go.
Honestly, he didn't care very much as to where they went; there'd always be tomorrow to go somewhere else! And even if they did manage to make it everywhere eventually, there'd always be something else to discover when they went out! No, what was really important was that Eeva and Tara were here.
Oh! They were going! Watching as his sister bounded off after the creature, Tala shuffled slightly to the side- room to move, and not accidentally bonk heads- and took off after her. His own laughter bubbled out after Eeva's, unable to contain the excitement and wonder he was feeling.
"What do you think it is?" He called after her, springing along lightly as he went.

Soft purple eyes narrowed, Taradhia couldn't help but feel a tad apprehensive. After all, this was the first time that they had ever left the den, and all they knew of this World was what their parents had told them. This feeling of unease soon passed though, as the excitement of what they were about to do swept over him. As long as they stayed close enough to the den so that they could still see it, there would be nothing to worry about. And if anything should go wrong, he felt as though he was quite capeable of looking out for his siblings.
Just as he was thinking about what could possibly go wrong, the brightly coloured creature was brought to his attention. "What IS that?" He said outloud, eyes wide, before realising that his brother and sister had already taken off after it. Taradhia quickly gave chase. "Becareful you guys, it might be dangerous!" In his heart of hearts, he knew that something so small couldn't pose any threat, and so it wasn't long before he was laughing and leaping like the others.

The thing, whatever it was, twirled through the air with wonderous ease. It was so colourful, so carefree that Eeva felt sure it wouldn't hurt them. Besides, it looked so delicate. If it did turn on them surely they could show it a thing or two.
Her little legs carried her onwards and she slowed a little to glance behind her, glad to see her brothers following. Exploring the world as a family was soooo much better than wandering out all by yourself.
"Don't worry Taradhia! There's three of us and one of it."
Then the butterfly twirled downwards, attaching itself to something else that was just as bright and colourful as its wings.
A flower.
Eeva slowed and caught her breath, stretching out her neck to get a better look at it. "Hmmm." She pondered out loud. "Do you think its a flower?" She blinked. Ona'raha had told them a little bit about flowers in one of his stories.
"I didn't think flowers could...do that!" She bounced on the tips of her paws and drew closer still.

Taladu was so enamored by the little thing's grace, he'd nearly lost track of where he was in relation to Eeva and Tara. Watching it's movements with enthusiasm, wondering if he could ever fly like that, he didn't even realize that he was about to run into Eeva.
Stopping himself as quickly as possible, his body made a light 'thump' as he hit the ground, eyes still fixated on the ground. Pushing himself back up to sit, and hoping his siblings wouldn't notice, he beamed brightly.
"It can't be dangerous, Tara~!" He called back, then turned to watch the thing once more. It was on... a flower, Eeva had called it? Yes, they'd been told about those! And they were just as beautiful as he'd been hoping!
"I.. I think so." He said, trying to switch his focus between the flower and the thing. Both were so wonderful, it was a bit of a challenge! Scrunching his nose lightly, he turned to glance to Tara once more.
"What do you think, Tara?"

Unfortunatly for Taladu, Taradhia had been running at the back of both of them, so he managed to catch his brother's accident. He let out a small laugh, but only a quiet one, as he didn't want to embarass his brother by bringing his sister's attention to the little fall.
With both his siblings having come to a stop, Taradhia did the same, stopping just a bit in front of Eeva. The weird flying thing had come to a stop as well, on top of some other thing. Maybe they should've asked more questions before leaving, as they all seemed quite clueless at the moment.
At his brother's question, Taradhia tilted his head a little, a thoughtful expression on his face. "I think so. Father said that flowers are very pretty, and that they grow out of the ground." Saying that, he motioned towards the thing sticking out of the ground that the flying thing had landed on. He too edged a little bit closer. "Whatever they are, I like them both very much." He said with a smile, before crouching down before the two strange things.

Eeva had to agree and, so enchanted by the unknown flower thingy, she didn't notice Tala's little slip. "Then it has to be a flower! What else could it be? Both pretty, both...here!" She waved a paw as if that explained everything.
She lowered herself then, wriggling her little bottom in the air as she prepared to pounce. She wanted the flying flower! It was sooo pretty and if it got away she might never see one like it again. That would have been awful. It would make the den far more interesting if it was fluttering about and maybe mummy and daddy could tell them more about it!
"Tala-Tala, Tara-Tara! Watch me!" And without warning she leapt at the butterfly with all the strength she could muster.
Luckily, that wasn't much.
The butterfly seemed to sense that it was in danger of being crushed and had taken to the air again. But little Eeva had ended up amongst the flowers.
"Oof!" They flowers absorbed the impact of her failed attempt at pouncing and, unharmed, she rolled around in an attempt to free herself. "Ah! Help! I'm stuck!" She'd managed to maneuvre herself onto her back and was waving her forepaws at her brothers somewhat wildly. She didn't look that worried however. Her eyes were sparkling and there was a mischevious little smile on her face.

Smiling at Tara- more in thanks than amusement- he glanced back at the call to watch his sister, smiling enthusiastically and nodding. What was she going to do? He wasn't sure. But, then again, with Eeva, it had to be something fun!
He'd been shocked, at first, by her jump- she'd really gone for it! But, that too faded to excitement, causing Tala to quickly bound to Eeva's side. Watching idly as the thing floated off into the sky, he looked down to Eeva with a curious expression. She'd really gone for it! ...And now she was caught among the flowers.
Peering down at Eeva, Tala tried to make sense of how it was possible she'd been caught. The long green things that held the flowers up, maybe..? Pawing at some of the flowers, he grumbled.
"How'd you go and do that, Eeva?" He asked, more in amusement than anything else. Giggling slightly, he turned back to Tara.
"Tara, come help us! The flowers have her!" Yes, the gentle, delicate flowers did indeed have his sister captive. How much fun this day was turning out to be!

"Wait, what?" Taradhia raised a brow as he turned to look at his sister, and then back to the two unknown creatures. "I think that the thing coming out of the ground is a flower, but I don't think the other thing is." The thoughtful expression returned once again as he tried to figure it out. Neither of their parents had mentioned a flying flower, so the flying thing had to be something else. "Maybe it's related to the flower? Like...somehow?" The cub didn't really have much to go on, other than the fact that the two things were both very pretty, so his theory was rather limited.
It didn't really matter either way, as Eeva suddenly pounced on both of them. "Eeva!" Taradhia was shocked by his sister's sudden movement, and also upset at the idea of her possibly hurting the colourful creatures. Fortunatly the flying one was able to dodge the attack, but the flowers weren't so lucky.
When she landed on them, Taradhia shook his head. Then when she started calling for help, he completely missed the joke and ran to her side. "Don't worry Eeva, I'm here!" He then started stomping on the flowers in an effort to free his sister. As he worked his way around his sister's body, stomping all the way, it was only when he bumped into his brother and heard gentle giggling that he realised something was up. Then when he looked at Eeva's face, he recieved confirmation. "Oh, very funny sis." He replied softly, a sheepish grin on his face.

She giggled as her brothers came to help her and watched from her position on her back as they attempted to free her from the meanie flowers. They were stronger than they looked! So much for being pretty and harmless.
At least they didn't hurt.
And then she realised that Taradhia had caught onto the joke and she stuck her tongue out at him. "I thought so." And with a high-pitched squeal she tore herself away from the rest of the flowers that had cushioned her fall. "You sure showed them flowers, huh?" She said, turning back to look at the very flat, very sad looking plants.
"Oops..." She was the one with the sheepish grin on her face now. She hadn't meant to flatten them! Now they didn't look as pretty anymore and she didn't even have her flying flower....flying thing, since Tara had a good point. Daddy had never mentioned flying flowers. "Maybe they'll still be okay." She swished her tail and nodded. Yep, they'd be fine, she was sure of it.
Then she got an idea and another smile crept onto her face.
"Tala-Tala, look! It's on his nose!" She pointed at Taradhia's face and before anyone could deny it, the little girl had flung herself at her white-pelted brother, a gleeful laugh at her throat. "I'll save you~!"

Watching the actions of his siblings quietly, for the most part, Tala still kept a smile on his face, happy that Eeva really wasn't in trouble. And really, they'd just been silly; flowers certainly couldn't hurt you! Even if... seemingly, from laying on them, you COULD hurt them. Hopefully, Eeva would be right, and they really would be ok!
His mind drifted back, however, to whatever the flying thing had been. Mom and dad would most likely know! So, when they got back, they could ask! And then, when they were bigger and older, they could go find more of them! They probably wouldn't be TOO hard to find.
Blinking in utter confusion when the subject jumped from the flutter-thing to his name, Tala snapped his attention back to his sister. Glancing between her and Tara, he tried to make sense of how it was on his nose. He.. didn't see anything. Frowning slightly, he turned back to Eeva.
"I don't s-" Oh. ...It was a joke. Breaking into a grin, now that he knew what was going on, Tala gave an overly-enthusiastic nod.
"Help him, Eeva! It's got him!" He laughed, watching the scene happily from his spot.

All jokes aside, Taradhia felt bad about what he had done to the flowers. "I hope they'll be OK. I'll have to ask mother and father when we get back." He kept on looking at the flowers, trying to figure out a way to make them stand up again, right until his sister suddenly started pointing and jumping right in front of him.
"Huh?" Taradhia turned to his brother, a confused look on his face. "Do I really have something on-" He was cut off as Eeva took used the distraction to pounce on him. Laughing, he playfully pawed at his sister, attempting to push her off but also being careful not to hurt her or damage her little neck purse. "Taladu, we can take her if we work together!"
