Scott Wimmer is being released from RCR after the 2008 NASCAR season. Just announced.

RCR should not be letting him go. At least we know one thing, he will not be driving the 33 next year. RCR needs to keep the drivers they have and continue to build up around them.

it's about as obvious that casey mears will be driving for rcr as it is that newman was going to haas.

sonictim2004 I wonder what will happen to Wimmer? If nothing in cup comes up, then I see him getting a great Nationwide Series ride. I also think the only reason they let him go was because they wanted Casey Mears and Mears is a better driver.

it was cheerios and Jack daniels. They didn't want wimmer as a driver....That's the only reason.
