Isolated - distanced from communication, the interaction with those once adored - dissolved. Jade lay somber; reflecting upon past interaction, detailing scent, texture and color, repetitively circling her mind. Longing for contact outside her grand-father's warmth, yet too un-sure to venture, and dismissing the thought of facing him, she rolled onto her side, watching as the river's ripples passed by, and gradually drifted into a light daze.

Wonderous and vivid thoughts roared within her sub-concious. The truth of her personality breathed in her dreams, yet crippled in her concious state. The imaginative journey ended, as a cool breeze travelled through her silky coat, ruffling and refreshing her soul. Stretching away her wearyness; two finches frolicked above in the nearby oak. Their companionship amused Jade. The delicate simplicity of their stunning performance appeared to be a beautiful sight through her eyes. With precise timing, the launched into the pale sky, disappearing beyond the surrounding hills.

Breathing in; air expanding her lungs until it was over-flowing, Jade howled until her breath had emptied. Her desperate plea left her standing anxiously, ears perked and eyes glazed with diamond sparkled tears, she anticipated a response...

Kamali's lanky form dodged around bushes, rocks, fallen and decaying logs. It scrambled under low branches and vines, or sometimes scrambled over. He always enjoyed these walks, but knew he should not be taking so many. He should be spending time with the pack. His black ear flicked a little and his golden gaze flashed around. After a moment his tongue lolled from his mouth and he was grinning a very wolvish grin.

He froze when he heard the howl, head tilting and upped have of his body shifting to find what direction it was coming in. Once found he began to move that way, pondering wether he should howl back or not. For now he would be quiet, he did not like howling. Too many memories seemed to trigger with the sound of his howl.

Ears perked, anticipating a response, Jade shifted her weight from left to right, right to left, continuously. Restraining herself to dash through the long whipped grass, she gradually lost hope after the time and lack of response failed her. The silence echoed through her mind. Jade lowered her head with a dis-heartened expression. Images of companionship flahsed through her mind driving her forward. Sprinting into the distance, un-certain why she was running, Jade searched for something - someone.

He was picking up on Jade's scent, too long had he been away from her and it only faintly tickled something in his mind. He headed that way, head high and ears perked. He did not want to be taken by surprise, after all.

As the scent got stronger he smirked, then gave out a few barks into the silent air. Hopefully she was close enough to hear those, he still would not howl.

The faint remains of a nearby bark travelled into Jade's ear where the sound whispered inside her mind repetitively. Jade had heard this wolf before and now thursted herself forward, gaining rapid speed.

Breaking her solitude and saddended mindset, she surged forward, over-whelmed with excitement. The anticipation was peaking as Jade could hear the wolf darting towards her. Jade closed her eyes, with the breeze ruffling her fur - almost leading her forward. Finally Jade came to a stop, as she heard the other wolf hault also. Lifting her head and opening her eyes, she recognised the familiar face of the wolf before her...
