Ears gave a twitch and a sigh escaped in the otherwise quiet room as the kitsu settled deeper in the chair cushions. It was empty in the headquarters today, and the small femme took small comfort in having her own space for the moment. It gave her time to think without distraction or tension. And right now, her thoughts were in a jumble.
More eggs? How could her parents be having more eggs? Wasn't that considered a miracle, to have so many offspring? Nahanni huffed under her breath in stunned reality. So many siblings...she wondered what the newest bunch would be like. She honestly couldn't wait, even if she was nervous about the whole thing.

A low growl of frustration broke the silent air as Ruaidhri glanced about himself and took in the lack of life within the building. Sure there were a few lounging about, but the relative quiet was a bit unsettling especially in contrast to the circus his family and friends usually appeared to be. Grumbling again, he let his two colored eyes drift across the few other scattered about, not really sure if he wanted to engage any of them for company. He didn't know any of them, after all, and from what he could see the only one he could engage relatively easily was a girl, and those were always a bit on the dangerous side to approach, never knew what they might pull. His tails twitched with nervous energy as he studied her a moment before looking away again, not wanting to give her the wrong idea or something.

Long ears fluttered to a new sound, and Nahanni scanned the room with cautious eyes. But all there was to see was another kitsu. Nothing to fret over; at least it wasn't a Nitemare. The only thing making her tense though was that the red individual was staring back at her. Murky eyes were downcast, and Nahanni further sunk herself into the thick cushion to hide behind the armrest. Maybe he was just passing through, or noticing a bookshelf just passed her and the chair...

Ru could feel a frown pull at his face as the other shrunk farther into the chair. His ears flickered a second as he considered the action and what it meant, what he could do, and if it even mattered. He supposed the polite thing was to try and be friendly to her or something, but really, he wasn't sure he wanted to interact. She may seem okay now, but all girls were the same and given the chance the trauma would come. Why couldn't girls just make sense?

One second, two seconds..... three, four...
Nahanni sighed to herself after so long, not needing to wonder if the other was still there. Her sense of empathy could feel his tension in the air, like the shadow of a cloud in the sky. Her three tails slid off the edge of the chair as she remained seated, blinking at her situation. Well? What now? "Are you leaving? Or did you need to ask something?..." She enjoyed silence, but when it involved more than one person, it became intimidating.
