Murasame was told by Tearh to come here to this small waterhole that was somewhat sheltered by surrounding brush and cicada trees. Flicking his tail he poked a toe into the water, feeling it cool his fur and then pulled away watching the ripples as they moved, got bigger, and then became nothingness. Two hurdles were left for them both to go over, meeting Tearh's mother, and then, meeting Tearh's father.
Something seemed familiar though of how Tearh spoke about her mother, physical appearance, it was like something on the tip of his tongue, but it could not be fully known just yet.
He waited though, patiently, a smile on his maw. He did wish Tearh would have come along but perhaps it was best for him to be alone with her mother, have a chat...and have it go well. Yes, this had to go well, for them both.

Grumbly, the black lioness had agreed to this meeting. She was half dreading it, to be honest, though she wouldn't tell anyone that. She didn't want Tearh to worry about it, and she didn't want Daemon to worry about it. The two of them would be worrying aobut it for different reasons though. She sure felt like she was stuck in the middle of this mess.
Letting her paws guide her to where she needed to be, she glanced up at the male that was waiting there....and grew a wicked grin. Small world, wasn't it?

Murasame sat back onto his haunches, stretched his forearms and watched as several hopper bugs came out from the taller grass blades, going about their usual...hoppping-ness, and he smiled. Though he w=had become a decent hunter, he never went after the bugs anymore, he was too big for them, and they wouldn't stand a chance.
Flicking his tail he peered around, and he didn't see anyone, though he hadn't looked behind himself, figuring it was all alright. He sighed, toyed with some grass and peered into the water, blue water, just like the color of her eyes.

"Murasame."
She stood where she was, letting herself rest in a sitting position. SHe cocked her head to the side, a sly grin growing on her face as she looked at him. She was still pretty far back, but his coat was just unique enough for Ruffian to know who it was.
"I should have guessed it was you. Of course, there's too many young runts running around now-a-days. But Fate sure loves to play her tricks on me." She chuckled to herself, shaking her head as she looked down at the ground for a moment. She peeked upwards, her brown eyes looking for his eyes. She was certain that he would hear her once she began to speak.

As Murasame heard his name being called he turned his head, his orange eyes falling on a familiar female, and immediately he stood up, a smile ear to ear on his maw, "Why hadn't I put it together before!" he said with a laugh, "Tearh speaks of you fondly always, and the name stuck, but I remember now!" he said while walking over to her, closing the gap between them.
He agreed that fate liked to play tricks on them all, but this was truly amazing, and to fate, he was grateful. "How have you been? Its been such a long time," he felt like he had found an old lost friend, and...she was the mother of the female he cared for so deeply.

Ruffian raised herself onto her hind legs, reaching out with a forelimb to bop the male on his head. It was hard, since her genes made her a bit smaller than normal Pridelanders, but she was still able to reach him a bit, getting her message across.
"Long time! Feh! You're going to make me sound like an old lady, and that's something that I know I'm not. You're still just as young as you were when I first met you. Just a little bit bigger, and obviously interested in my daughter."
Her eyes flashed dangerously for a moment. "So, you think you're going to take my Tearh away from me, hm?"

Murasame had a grin on his maw when her paw bopped him on the forehead, and he shook his head, mane falling into place, "Of course, of course," he said nodding. Though at her question, he shook his head furiously, eyes sincere, "Take her away from you? Of course I'd never take her away from you, or any of her family. Family is important, and so is home, the Pridelands is where my family, and my home is as well."
How to go on?
"I care deeply for Tearh, though I do know her father is quite protective of her, and I don't want to-" he stopped, tryig to find the right words, "I wanted to meet both you and her father, so that I would have your blessing to be with Tearh."

Ruffian did her best to hold her composure, but by the time Murasame had mentioned 'blessing' it was obvious that the lioness was loosing it. Within another moment, she burst out with laughter, nearly loosing her balance in the process. Keeping herself upright, she finally found the breath to say something.
"Bahaha! Ohhh Murasame, you're too funny. Are all young kids so boring and bland these days?" She snickered more, letting her lungs gather up as much air as they could. "I don't care. Take her! I'm sure if something happened I'd be down your throat in one moment." She leaned forward, though she couldn't get rid of the smile on her face just yet. "You better remember that."
Gathering herself back up, she shook her head, a heh and a hee escaping still. "Daemon's going to think that you're taking her away, though. He's your problem to deal with, not me."

Murasame took a step back not knowing Ruffian's reaction and lifted a paw in the process of being shocked. His eyes were somewhat wide as he listened to her voice, and hi ears folded back, "No-I mean...I just wanted to make a good impression, and I'd never hurt her or anything..." his ears were folded back, and it was obvious he was embarrassed with the whole situation.
"I know that talking with him will be hard, and I don't mean to be..stiff, or anything...just-" he stopped again, eyes on the ground. All he wanted was to make a good impression, and be accepted, but why did there have to be laughing?

Ruffian inwardly rolled her eyes. WELL. She'd have to remember that those grandkids (which was sure to happen. she didn't even expect kids, and here she was loving it!) were going to be quite unfun to be around, what with parents like those two!
"I'm kidding, Murasame. You should go find yourself a sense of humor the next time you go out hunting." Huffing, as obviously her joke had been killed in that very moment, she let herself take a moment to groom her paw. He deserved that tense awkward moment of silence as she made herself content.
Resuming after a long moment, she shifted her weight around. "You're a good kid, Murasame. How plain should I lay it out? If she had only told me who you were, I would have just said to go to my mate directly. You're going to have quite an uphill battle with him, I'm sure of it."

Murasame nodded simply, he did have a softer side, one that could make others smile, but that other was usually just Tearh, he felt so comfortable and at ease around her he felt as if he could loosen up. Though around others, he was more tense, perhaps it would fade eventually, hopefully.
"I know it will be awkward, and possibly dangerous," he said with a light laugh, "Tearh told me how he would follow her around as a cub, even recently, but he doesn't know that she saw him," Murasame was glad his mother had never done that to him.
"I'll go tell Tearh to tell him to meet me later, hopefully, it will go well," he said with a gulp at the end, it had to go well, besides, he knew Ruffian, and surely she might put in a good word for him.

Ruffian let her tail flop around on the floor, an old habit that never settled itself. She narrowed her eyes as she looked at him. "You seem quite confident." She brought herself back, leaning backwards a bit, away from the young adult male. "Well, whatever you do I hope it work. I wish I could be there to see this, but I think it would be better for you to see him on your own, and not with us 'ladies' there."
She shrugged her shoulders, mildly content. She wasn't completely pleased with the idea of Tearh going off, but it was what happened when children grew up. And at least she'd still be around here instead of....off somewhere.

"Who knows, maybe there won't be any physical confrontation," which he hoped for, a lot. He didn't want to get into a physical fight with tearh's father over his feelings for her, and he didn't want to have that happen, try to protect himself, and accidentally hurt Tearh's father either.
This was going to be...interesting, to say the least.
"Well, here's hoping," he said with a smile, standing, taking a few steps, and giving a smile, "I'm going to have Tearh set up a time for me to meet him, and hopefully I'll see you again soon," he said with a smile, and darted off to his and Tearh's spot to meet alone.
Who knew what a protective father might do.

Ruffian's tail beat at the ground as she watched the young male running off. She sighed, letting all of her tense muscles relax.
So this was what stubborn love looked like? It was different from what she had gone through, how she had gone through it. How would her own mother had felt, watching her daughter fall in love and wanting to start her own life? She would never know, her mother's body returned to the earth, her own brother gone as well. There was no doubt in her mind that he had perished as she searched for him.
She started at the horizion where Murasame had disappeared. She was worried to return home. She hated to hide anything, especially to this degree. Hopefully the guild wouldn't eat at her as she looked into her mate's eyes that evening.
Pushing herself up into a standing position, she let herself wander back home. She needed a nap.
