Chapua's strength was returning, but there was something else bothering her. Even with her body almost back into perfect shape, something else was draining her energy and she hadn't quite figured it out yet. Puzzled, the cheetah had decided to part Ang in the morning for a long walk. A run seemed unneeded, as she knew that she was healthy in that regard.

With a skip in her step and a hum in her chest, the dark-coloured cheetah continued on her way, trying to let her mind mill over certain areas in her body. Her limbs were fine. Her stomache a little achey, but that seemed more on an account that she probably didn't eat as much as she should every day. Her heart was still a little heavy, but perhaps on the weight that she felt she laid on Ang's shoulders. He was too kind, and they continued to stick together. It was very different for her, as she wasn't used to situations like this, but it pleased her. Her head felt heavy as well. She couldn't remember the situation that left her nearly starved and dead, no matter how hard she tried.

Frusterated, she stopped where she was, deciding to take a break. She had been walking for quite a while, and had no plants on hurting herself so early into the long walk. One certainly had to take care of themselves.

Dath'charukai let himself wander the mortal realm again. He was getting an odd feeling lately as he wandered the lands, as if there was trouble here. Not exactly where he was, but that everything he did was somehow being watched. Unreal! No one would dare try to do anything against them if they wanted to survive. With a growl, he continued on his way, his jet-black wings folded tightly against his back.

He wandered aimlessly, lashing out at anyone that irritated him. The poor souls would get away without too much lasting damage, but nothing seemed to tide the dark god over. His mood was unchanging, wrathful, and he was ready to at least harass whomever he passed by.

Thankkfully for the nearby cheetah, he hadn't quite noticed her. He paused, letting himself itch at one of his wings. The heat from the sun irritated his wings, making his body feel overheated. He stretched them out after giving them a mild grooming, letting his body cool down a bit.

Chapua's deep red eyes caught sight of movement in front of her. She froze, her nostrils flaring as she tried to catch the scent of what it was. For some reason that she didn't know, fear sent a shiver down her spine.

Curiousity was something that she was always full of, though, and so she carefully wandered closer. Her mind soon registered the huge creature as a lion; an unnaturally large lion. Upon closer inspection, she was able to see great black wings, wings that almost blended into his mane.

She froze. A god? What was a god doing here? While she did know that most gods took the form of lions, it still seemed so odd that there would be one around here. And it just so happened to have to be right in front of her. She debated on running away, but that could bring attention to herself. But if she stayed here, she would also gain his attention as well.

Ooooh, what to do, what to do.

While the cheetah had been trying to decide on what to do, the god had noticed that she was here. He scowled a bit, but his mind wandered away from her for a moment. Fools, everyone was. The world would be better without them. He knew better than to attempt something like that, though. If there were so few gods that seemed to understand and support his ideals, he knew that he would be in a loosing battle if he ever did try anything.

Hmmmm. But that still left mortals open. He wasn't a huge fan of cheetahs, but that didn't mean he could get a little bit of information out of it. He was on the hunt again, and any hint of anything would be helpful.

With a small growl, he cleared his throat and spoke up. He didn't look directly at the cheetah, but he knew that his voice could carry that far if he wished it.

"Come here," he said, his voice threatening harm if the order wasn't followed through. He wasn't in the mood to play games, and he certainly wasn't in the mood to chase after a cheetah. He could do it, but it was definately on the bottom of his list of things he liked to do.

Erg. Chapua could feel her muscles turn rigid, her heart race fast. It felt like she had just outrun even her personal record, and she was exhausted from it. The only thing that had made her this way was knowing that he would soon be on her neck about it if she didn't listen. She just prayed that she didn't die.

Slow footsteps led her closer to the massive lion-god. Her small frame felt even smaller as she grew closer to him. Shivering as if she was covered in show, her deep red eyes stayed glued to the ground. She did peek a glance at his massive paws once in a while, though, which was probably not a smart idea. The thought about how quickly one swipe could take her head off was unnevrving.

"Y-yes?" she said. She kept praying to someone, anyone up above that she would escape from this alive.

Dathcharu'kai grumbled as the cheetah drew closer. He really wasn't a big fan of cheetahs; they were so small and petite, like they would snap at any moment. He was surprised about how that one cheetah in the past survived him at all. No matter, really, but it still hadn't changed his opinion on them much. In his way of thinking, if they ran like birds, then they gossiped like them too.

"I have a couple questions, and then you can go," he said, waving his paw. He may be in a foul mood, but he really was too lazy to do anything than verbally warn. He'd get into the mood later.

He shifted himself around, rolling onto his other side so he could see the cheetah better. He reclined on his back, one wing folded neatly just above the ground, and the other one was stretched over his side and down towards his hind legs. It was so nice, soaking up the sun like this. He loved his black wings for that reason. And they simply disappeared in the darkest of nights, and no one knew who or what he was.

Chapua nodded her head quickly, wanting to get all of this done and over with. She did half believe the god, since he didn't look too smug about anything. She was sure that he might be lying somewhere along there, but she could run if she needed to. Chapua hadn't run yet today, and so she still had all of her energy to put into it if he did get any bit closer to her.

Her eyes still lingered around the ground, her paws shifting in front of her with nervous movements. Please, please let this be something that she could answer. If she couldn't, she didn't want to know what the god might do to her.

Silence fell between them, and she chanced a look up at his face. Gulp. He was watching her with mild interest. He must be getting a kick out of my fear, she thought. What a sick creature.

Hopefully gods couldn't read minds.

Dath cleared his throat and took his time in answering questions. He was enjoying feeding off of her fear, even if she really only released some of it. It wasn't enough to really make him feel empowere, but enough to make him content. He shuffled himself around a bit more, letting his over wing stretch out away from him to soak up the heat from the sun.

"I'm looking for someone," he said casually. "She's a god, like me." Hmmm, how to not give too much away.... "I have something important to speak with her about, but I can't seem to find her. She's small, like you, striped and brown. I know she's probably not looking for me, but it's still important."

He scowled slightly at the thought of her. Ever since that time, he hadn't quite been able to get her out of his mind, and it was driving him nuts. Next time, he'd finalize everything and finish it off. Cut all ties.

Shoot. Chapua felt like she was going to be in trouble (and danger) now. She listened intently to every word that the god spoke, hoping to not upset him too much. It didn't seem to matter, though, because she wasn't going to be able to answer his question anyway. Fear gripped at her heart before she answered. She just wanted to return home to Ang now.

"N-no," she said quietly. "I haven't. I h-haven't heard of anything e-either."

She hoped that the answer would be enough to satisfy him. He sure didn't look too pleased, but at least he hadn't ripped her head off the moment he saw her. That offered her a little bit of luck, right?

Chapua decided that it would probably be safer for her if she didn't always wander off in the morning. She was going to change her plans and stick with Ang, even if the urge to run cropped up. Being alone in something like this was enough to make her pass out. She felt just as helpless as when he first found her a couple moons ago.

Dath let his eyes narrow at the ground, a growl emitting from his throat. He had let his gaze drift away from the cheetah, in case she felt threatened. She could go nuts and try to attack him if she felt threatened and cornered enough, and Dath wasn't quite in the mood for that this time around.

His tail lashed behind him as he gathered his wings together to settle on his back. He had had enough time in resting. Now was the time for action. He would have to look elsewhere. Perhaps if he returned to that jungle.... That foolish mortal had nearly threatened him. He'd have to make sure that she wasn't hiding anything there. If so...then there was a price to pay for lying to Chaos.

He didn't stand himself up, though, merely waved his paw. "Useless," he stated. Cheetahs really were useless. Maybe he could torture something out of a leopard if he found any in that jungle. Odd creatures to like the sticky wetness so much.

The sudden anger that emitted from the god brought of a new fear in Chapua. The constant shaking, the tense muscles, all of it was wearing down on her in more ways than one. Just what was going on? She hoped that she didn't do anything too terrible...

But then she saw it. She knew a dismissal move if she had ever seen one, and she was sure to get out of here as soon as possible. She turned on her heels, taking just a small peek over her shoulder before trotting off. Once she felt her muscles loose their tense status, she dropped into a dead run. It was tiring, and harsh on her body, but she knew that it was the best chance for survival. She was going to take it, even if she figured that Ang could worry about her when she came home.

She'd never mention what happened today. He had worried enough about her, and she didn't want to add onto that worry. She would just appreciate her time with him.
