Blah blah, I'm new and all that rot, but I do actually have a discussion.
A-hem.

I admit, that at first glance, I look like a boy.
But I like it!
I have short hair, I wear baggy clothing, and my boobs are not that big.
Apparently, this labels me 'fat dyke'.
Which I find annoying to say the least.

So..
do males find feminene girls more attractive than tomboys?
I know there are guys out there that like tomboys, but I mean in general.
Does it bother you if a girl is boyish in looks?
(If this sounds really dumb, please excuse me, I'm not myself tonight)

Well, I'll give my view of this as a big girl who used to dress quite boyishly as well... I didn't get half the attention I get now that I dress more feminine. For me the transition came kind of naturally (and I still have moments where I like wearing my 'normal' clothes), but I do think a lot of men prefer a more feminine style of clothing... on women, of course.

i never get attention no matter what i wear.

i used to be pretty tomboyish, and i guess i am in a lot of ways (i don't do my hair or makeup and i'm much more comfortable with guys thanwith girls), but i've become more feminine. i dunno why, i guess it has something to do with my boyfriend. i've also done a complete 180 with clothes, now i wear skirts all the time when before i hated them and always wore pants whenever i could.

i think guys on the whole prefer more "feminine" women, but there's so much variation in what people are attracted to that it's not worth generalizing like that.

First of all, the whole "Fat dyke" thing just pisses me off. There's no need for people treating you like that.

As for the the Masuline/Femanine issue, I could care less about how someone dresses or looks. You seem like a nice girl and people should be respecting you for that. The question is "Do you like the way you look?"

I do like the way I dress, I'm comfortable, and I don't have to mess with my clothing all the time.

Thank you for your comments, you seem very kind.

I get noticed,
but for the wrong reasons.

I believe my crazy fro-ish hair draws too much attention.
Stupid curls.
I believe I'd rather not be noticed, if it would get people to stop making comments.

Then again, my personality does stand out.

I find tomboyishness generally attractive, but that might be mostly because of the belching, sloppy eating, and casual lazyness it implies.

I honestly think if somebody calls you a "fat dyke" to your face, they do not truly believe it and are just looking for a quick insult with one-syllable words.

I like both as long as they are not over the top. My Codi started off with a serve case of tomboyishness but she says being with makes her want to act more girlie

Just don't go expecting pinkness and frills ;-; those are two levels that I will never sink to. And yes, being with you is making me feel more girly. But I guess that's because I use severe severe severe tomboyishness as a defense mechanism. No one's going to try and pull s**t with a chick who is fully capable of landing them in the ICU.

Anyone ever notice how being in love puts rose colored glasses on the world?

Good point, being a tomboy is a /great/ defense.
I enjoy it.
