I saw the MHNoodles guide, and did my Wikia/GameFAQs research, and am still having a terrible time with this guy. I'm even trying to do the download single Rajang quest to no avail. Is there any tip (beside the obvious "don't get hit") on taking down Rajang solo? Like armor sets(I'm HR5 now) or weapons? I wanna at least get 1 kill before I get my friends in on it.
And are his materials worth getting? I'm a fan of Hakamas to begin with, so when I heard he makes that kind of legging, I wanted it for novelty-sake.
Edit: I wanna apologize for reposting a topic similiar to "ITS OVER 9000!!" on the main page, I didn't notice it until AFTER I posted this. However, mine DOES differ since I ask about teh armorz.

Ice weapons bro Blango Destructor or Hi Frost Edge also if you can get a friend to help you with Akantor get the bow. As for dodging his moves stay on his left side and watch for the spin attack I suggest not attacking him when he goes super saiyan.

I have more advice when he goes supersaiyan flash him and plant a trap then bomb him. and just stay a safe distance til he cools down, oh yeah and he can jump out of pitfalls I learned that the hard way....-_- AKANTOR BOW FTW

Dude, I used a Scythe of Menace to take out a Rajang in 6 MINUTES! If I can do it, so can you!
Note: When dodging Rajang, unlike EVERY OTHER BOSS IN THE GAME, it's possible to dodge his attacks by rolling towards him, instead of around him. This is how you dodge his Elbow Whirlwind (that's my name for it) and his Body Slam Hurricane (again, what I call it), and any beam attack he does. If does the Body Slam Earthquake, it won't damage you.
It's a good idea to use a poison status weapon, or bring some way to poison him, since it keeps hurting him even when you don't hit him, great for when he goes super-saiyan!

6 minutes? You must have had some luck on your side for that one, I'm sorry. But all that aside, and since I like Longswords (and in some weird way, scythes as well), I may give that a shot. I'll keep that poison-to-death tip in mind since capturing monsters has not been my strong suit lately (unless it's a Khezu... ******** Khezus).

Oh, I almost forgot, I had a Power Talon, and Full Ceanutaur S Series Armor, increasing my attack power (Attack Up (Med) and weapon sharpness (with the Artisan Skill). I also had Meat and Veggies (Dragon Head and Fatty Tomato) before the Quest.
