Is it just my school, or is Twilight suddenly "cool"? I swear, every single girl in the school has read it, and are like "OMG this is the coolest thing! It's got ROMANCE in it!" I hate it! I've been a fan of Twilight since it first came out. I waited outside Borders for New Moon. I BEGGED my mom to pre-order Eclipse for me, since I was going to be in Europe when it came out. Then I went to my first midnight release party to get Breaking Dawn. I can't believe that so many people are reading it because it's a status thing. What about you?

At my school(K- cool , currently 3 girls have read it. Me, a girl name Quinn, and a girl name Darrian. In the middle school (6-7) Harry Potter is still the best in Junior High to Highschool Its is the best damn thing all the girls AND guys have read.

Two of my friends discovered it when it came out a few years back and told me to read it. I was kinda like "Ehhh, i don't really want to read a book about vampires... they just aren't my thing you know" But they kept on trying to convince me and one day when we went to the library i didn't have anything to get and i saw twilight in the shelves and thought i might as well try it... I read the first page, the first chapter, the first book and i was HOOKED!! I loved it from the very beginning.

Through a friend.
Like in January of 2006, so a couple of months after the release.
It took me a few weeks to get through it.
At my school, we have smart people. So, no. There isn't a Twilight "fad" going around where girls are squealing about how hawt Edward C. is.

I first heard about Twilight when my BFF was reading it in Borders every chance she got. She told me all about it and I was like, wow! that sounds like an awesome book!!!! i honestly wasn't thinking about edward at all! for some reason, when she was telling me about twilight every time she mentioned edward i thought of the 'little vampire' in older version and i thought of the rest of the Cullens as those romanian vampires u see with fangs in black robes with long black hair. i think i was thinking of one episode from Scooby-Doo! sweatdrop but i finally ordered the book last summer in July 2007 and i COULD NOT put it down!!! so i returned it to the library and went to Borders and bought it and new moon! then i waited the rest of the month for Eclipse to finally come out and...yeah!! 3nodding I just came to my middle school now last year and i don't think anyone had really heard of it, but then a couple months later my friend had put it on hold and omg! i don't think she got it till maybe 3 months later! and still, SO MANY ppl have it on hold! u can't renew it at all! some other not-really-my-friends i have haven't even read the book yet and they're all like "OMFG!!!! EDWARD IS LIKE SO SEXY!!! I'M GONNA MARRY HIM!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!! (MAJOR FANGIRL SCREAM!)" it's really annoying!!! stressed
and now i'm moving again pretty soon so i wonder wut its gonna be like over there...

It's kinda popular at my school, but it's not too fangirlie. Lots of people have read it, but they're intelligent enough that they aren't the "omg lyk edward cullen is smex" type. They actually appreciate the book for...you know, normal reasons. That, or I just don't hang out with those people, because, in general, idiots piss me off. I actually know 3 or 4 guys at my school who have read it too, it's really neat to have that aspect.

I wish I had intelligent people to discuss it with. I have maybe three people I know who we all see eye-to-eye. I mean, fighting over character's moral is one thing, but fighting over who you'd rather marry? It feaks me out!

I've jokingly debated that, but in all seriousness, it isn't exactly tons of fun.
I still remember when my friend mentioned that he thought of himself as Edward. I nearly fell over laughing, it was amazing. He is a Harry Potter nerd, an AV tech geek, and an altogether spazz, and that he saw himself as Edward and tried to argue it was classic.

I have a friend like that! he wrote this story once and the characters were people in our school and he made himself Edward. My friend, who he had a huge crush on, was Alice for some strange reason. I don't know why, but he made me Bella and other people were other characters (i can't really remember) oh my gosh!! It was the weirdest and most confusing thing ever!! lol! rofl

I mean, seeing yourself as a character is okay if someone has pointed it out before, but I don't think you should decide it yourself. Someone told me I reminded them of Bella, and I just gave them this look and said "Yeah... have you gotten past the first few lines of Twilight?" and they told me no... so apparently I have a hunter stalking me now o.0

I found it about three years ago. I was working at a primary school book fair. You know, when Scholastic takes over the school library to sell children and their parents over priced books, accessories, kits, and random school supplies. Anyway, was volunteering at the crafts table trying to get hours for our Beta club. At the end, I was offered a $5 discount, so I decided to try to find something worth reading. I was fortunate enough to stumble upon an almost hidden copy of Twilight. I had never heard of it before, but the cover was intriguing. I looked on the back cover for a synopsis of the novel, but what I found was that now well-known excerpt. I was hooked. I had always been fascinated with vampires, and it seemed to be fate for me to find that book. It was exactly what I needed to escape from my all-too-troubled reality. This may sound dramatic, but that moment changed my life. I have found comfort in the Twilight Saga. It's nice to feel like I'm not alone (though Bella is fictional); I would have reacted the exact same way she did in her situation. All in all, I'll never forget finding that book.

A few years ago, i saw a friend of mine reading it (this is before it became famous) and I said, "Hey, what's that you're reading?" And she showed it to me. I dunno...something about it hooked me so I went to Barnes and Noble and just bought it. I was hooked the second i started reading it.
I waitied months to get eclipse and I went to the midnight release party of breaking dawn. Now, all teh girls in my school are hooked. It kinda sucks because now everyone is all, "OMG I LOVE EDWARD" and i'm like, "..er...yea"

I found out about it when it first came out. The cover caught my eye and I liked the storyline so I asked for it that Christmas. But yeah, all these preppy girls at my school are reading it and I'm like "wtf?" I mean it's cool that they are giving it a chance, but still, it's everywhere!
