As part of the summer carnival this rp prompt will win you a custom garnishpet. Winners will be chosen by the colorists. If two wish to rp together and win each will receive a custom garnishpet. Lots of luck!! Quote: The Mysterious SulkIt’s a busy day in Uncle’s shop, and you have stopped by to visit your young dragon. Usually he/she comes flying to see you the moment you show up, but today he is nowhere to be seen. When you enter, you find your little one sulking miserably in the bottom of his cup. It seems he’s gotten into a conflict with one of the other dragons, disrupting the usual peace of the teashop. Now your dragon doesn’t seem to want to come out of the cup! You know that the dragons almost always get along, and become determined to get to the bottom of this and make your dragon feel better, too. What happened to get your Tea Dragon upset? How do you help him resolve the conflict and come back out of his cup? Write your response in the form of a rp or story. Rules:You may pair up with someone to each portray one side of the argument, or make up a dragon or situation (be creative!) that upset your pet. If you have a tea bag/ball, you can still join. Tea bags/balls or cup stage dragons can be played in their current stage, or you may play as though they have already grown. Judged on creativity first, but please use your best grammar and spelling, etc. You may play any dragon(s) you own, but please don’t bring any other pets for this prompt. Anyone bad-mouthing another owner or dragon (with the exception of planned IC arguments, agreed upon by both players) will be disqualified.

I know the contest ended yesterday and this is probably crappy but I figured I would post it anyways. :3 Hope you at least enjoy reading it. smile Young Dragon Fight I was running a bit late due to work, so I hurried up to get to the shop before Kaori would miss me too much. He knew I always came right over after work and I figured he would be waiting for me there. But when I entered the shop he was no where to be found. I could feel in the air that something wasn't right and a pit formed in the bottom of my stomach formed. I hoped that I was wrong about my feeling and to my relief Kaori was curled up in his tea cup safe just unhappy. This was unusual as he was normally in a very cheerful mood. So I softly stroked the part of his tail poking out from the tea-cup. “Hey buddy whatcha doing in there?” Kaori looked up at me with big sad eyes and a small tear in his eye. “Nothing LK, I just got in a fight with a friend today. But I don't really feel like talking about it right now.” He drooped his head back into the tea cup and thought about the fight with her. She had been so mean to him with what she said and he didn't accept it. He looked up a little bit at LK with a sad look in his eye. His friend was a great guy and always took good care of him.I knew he was lying to me but that was ok for now. He needed a little bit of time to calm down. So I pulled up a seat and softly and slowly ran my fingers down his back trying to comfort him for a couple minutes. I didn't say a word, just watched and waited for him to tell me what was going on. I knew it wouldn't be long until he felt the need to confide in me what had happen. I spoke softly to him, “Just remember there Kaori that everything will work out. It may seem bad now but it will be fine and you two will be better in no time.” I smiled trying to reassure him that I was correct about this. He turned around with a stern look on his face and shook his head. “No it won't until she takes back what she said about you. She was not right and I will not forgive her until she apologizes.” He was very serious and upset about the argument they had. He thought she was his friend and couldn't believe she would say something bad about him.Think about what he just said I smiled knowing that this was something that every young creature went through. I remembered that when I was young fighting with another guy about how my Dad could beat up his Dad. Also that my Dad was smarter and obviously better than his Dad. I had to word this correctly so that he would understand this and not upset him further. “Well you know everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. I am not perfect and I am sure that where I lack would be an area where someone else might excel in. So what did she say about me though?” Smiling I kept stroking his back trying to reassure him and make him feel better. Kaori thought intently what he had said about everyone being different and pretty much special in their own way. “So does that mean that her friend is nicer and takes care of her better than you take care of me? I don't think that is the case and I wouldn't want anyone else taking care of me.” He looked at LK with pleading eyes hoping that wasn't what he was saying.I chuckled a little bit and shook my head and ruffled my hand over his head as if you mess up his hair or head spikes. “No that is not what I was saying. I was just saying that everyone is unique and different. As I am sure there are things that her friend doesn't do for her that I do for you. There are things that her friend does for her that I don't do for you. Its not really a bad thing, I do things for you that I think you will like. Her friend does things for her they think she will like. There is no one better at it than anyone else, just different and unique to their own dragon friend.” I was very happy that he was defending me but didn't want him to be upset because of it. He looked back down as he was processing what LK had said. He was probably right but he still didn't like what she had said. That her friend was better than him. He wouldn't forgive her for that but he could understand her defending her own friend. “Well I won't forgive her until she apologizes for saying that you weren't as good as her friend. But I will try to talk to her again later. I will apologize that I said her friend wasn't as good as you. It wasn't right for me to say but I prefer you over her friend.” Kaori reached his head up and rubbed his head along LK's hand and nipped at his index finger. “That was for rubbing my head like that.” He smiled finally as he got LK back. That was a good step forward learning what the world was like and getting along with other creatures. “Well I am glad that you will try to get along with her again.” I bopped him on the nose after he bit me playfully. “Be careful there small fry, don't want to horse around too much. Don't want me to pin you with one finger again.” I looked at him quizzically and playfully ready for his playful response in return. He smiled and curled up ready to pounce at my hand. “Oh bring it, you just think your tough because you're so much bigger. I will show you that you shouldn't underestimate the small dragons.” With that he pounced at my hand grabbing it with his claws and started to gnaw playfully on my fingers as his tail wagged back and forth.Laughing I brought my other hand around and tried to tickle him some to get him off my hand. “Oh is that that? Be ready to get beat there munch kin.” This was a fun game that we played often, wrestling with each other the best we could. It kept him in shape and active as well as raised his spirits. I knew that he would be okay and happy again. He was back to his normal playful and happy self. Which relieved me greatly and made me very proud of my little dragon friend Kaori.

((Icehawk is the keeper, and Rift is my custom cosplay dragon. They said I should enter too, I'm not sure when this ended.))
The table is awash with steam. Tendrils of white whirl their way round the smooth edges of an oak table, the dark grain of the wood barely distinguishable under the clouds billowing forth...
...billowing forth from a blue teacup, a volcano of froth and steam and, as my hand approaches it, -heat-.
"Hot!" I pull my hand back, unsure what has happened to my feisty tea dragon. Never before have I seen such a thing. "Rift.... are you okay?"
From the cup I hear stronger gurgling. A splash of green tea lands on my outstretched hand, scalding me. I taste my tongue as I bite down in reflex. My other hand quickly brushes at the scalding drops.
"Rift...?" I venture again. Something must be wrong. Normally he's chirpy, darting, diving, swooping in circles just in front of my face. The other tea dragons are far away from this cup, I see. I lean forward hesitantly, a grimace on my face. I can already feel another scalding splash coming.
"Rift, what's the matter? It's okay now, I'll help you out..." Frothing intensifies. I can barely talk through the grimace. "Just... calm down and tell me, okay. What's the matter?"
There is another splash, and I jump back, heart racing. A huge billow of steam arises from the cup, and there, barely visible through the mist, are a pair of eyes and spiky green hair floating just above the surface.
"There," I say, and lean close, smiling as well as I can pretend to smile. "Now, what happened? Why are you sulking?"
Another splash, and hot tea hits my cheek. I cringe and try not to jump back. Scalding green tea tears fall down my face. I try not to notice. "Rift?"
One more snort, and then his voice, light and angry... "Sugar."
Sugar? I look around, and indeed see sugar cubes in a toppled pyramid nearby. Their sharp edges have eroded in the steam his tea-bath has put forth. They are pock-marked and sodden now. "Oh, Rift, did they put sugar in your tea?"
Rift mewed pathetically.
I reached out a finger and petted his spikes. They were hot, but only for the fractions of seconds that I touched each one. It was tolerable. And he needed comforting.
I looked around, searching for some way to help the little thing. And then I saw it. "Rift, I know a way to make your tea better. I know how we can get rid of the sweet and make your tea even tastier than the others'." I reach out and take up a garnish. "A little lemon should do the trick."
Rift's happy chirp is all I needed to hear. "Problem solved," I say with a grin.
