Well I can't say it's been working out for me so well, but my way of overcoming writers block is to just be idle. Just sit, think, and/or listen to music.

if i have writer's block, but really want to continue the story, i make myself write, even if it feels unnatural, eventually, something will come to me

try to absorb some media that inspires you. Read another book, watch a movie, anime, or sitcom. Likely, you'll remember what it was that inspired you in the first place, if you see something similar.

I don't get 'writers block'; As Kevin Smith says, I get "writers Laze' where it's like "Why should I write? how many law and orders are on today?" (*direct quote from Silent bob himself*)
If I didn't have a few of my close friends poking and bugging me to write, I probably wouldn't have gotten this far. (*47 pages~!*)
-shrugs- Roleplaying helps me a lot; even if it's just random stuff. "*Stabs with spicket*" ect.
I go... stupidly in depth with RPing though. xD lol

You can't really "cure" Writer's block or get around it. Usually when I get writer's block or I'm just not in the mood to write, I stave my writing impulses and put most of that creative concentration into school work or music or other activities (maybe improving a skill for a sport or something, but since I don't generally play sports I wouldn't know). Then, when all of those other creative outlets become dull and I can't contain the writer inside of me, I just let it go and continue the story right where I left off. Even if it causes discrepancies in the story itself, you can correct those later when you are editing so don't worry about it.
I hope that helped!!! biggrin

I would agree with a few of ja. Get your adrenline rushing with a good tv show, book, or movie, you'll be in the mood in no time.

I agree with all of you. I usually listen to music or watch a movie I really like. Sometimes I watch or read somthing new for ideas.

i find that just taking a break and letting the story write it's self in your head works best. there's no point writing if you dont know what to put. or alternativly you could go through and edit what you have already done to stimulate your mind and get you back into the correct frame of mind

When I get writers block, I tend to write a cheesy fanfiction or I start working on a different story. I have a few stories going right now, and when I get writers block on one, I start back up on another. Of course, you have to be able to keep two or more storylines straight in your mind at a time. But thats no problem for me, so that's how I do it.

I usually go somewhere where there's a lot of activity or people about, and then I start writing what I see. I usually come up with ideas from that.

what i usually do is try to write another day, or take a break eat a snack. Look for some sort of inspiration, i usually listen to music when i am trying to write, the lyrics always give me some idea. If you have a serious case of writer's block, it might be the time of the day or your enviornment. Usually my creatitiy flurishes at night, when it's quiet, eveyone is asleep and am awake, typing away my stories and listening to my music. Mood also has to do alot with writer's block, usually my creativity flows when i'm somewhat sad or bored
