Alright well, long ago I gave away my four 2004 letter sets. Long story short, I'm thinking of saving for two.
Anybody know what they are going for now a days? I will probably just buy them seperate but yanno. Just want a rough estimate if I will have enough or not. And stoofs.

Yes well, i'm sure you all know about it, 'The Golden hour' (insert halo angels singing her)
'The Golden hour' , for those of you who don't know what i'm talking about i'm talking about the the first few minutes of when the new sealed letters open.
As a lot of people know, if the item is good or bad they still sell for quite a bit.
Example the whips went for 7.5k where as they are around 6k now.
HOWEVER, I believe since so many people know about 'The Golden hour' now, IT IS ruined.
Example, In july 2005 I had a lot of letters, yes a very very lot ^_- 100+ Any ways, I had a couple friends who also had quite a few, in other words we tanked the market, I sold quite a few, they were worth more the next day. Let's look at the panda pack's, they were going for 6-7.5k when they first released, I got quite a few at 6.5k, well now the pack's are at a steady 7k+
my theory, 'The Golden hour' IS RUINED. I figure sell after everyone has released ALL of their letters in 'The Golden hour' and sell for a good price above theirs. HOWEVER if the item is bad I'm not sure how well this will work, i'm just saying they were less, and now they are more. Seems the golden hour is ruined for good items. Exchanging is a whole different thing but meh.
Gimme opinions, i'm the first person to ever say this I believe but I will state it boldly.
When it comes to good items, kikis/panda packs. The golden hour is ruined!

The golden hour is ruined!Opinions please : D Too much risk for too little gain IMHO. Basically, the bets you can hope for in a golden hour run is maybe, maybe 200k if it is a really good item. However, some items have actually tanked the letters in the past, like may/april 04 and the bone helm/phoenix headdress. Thus, you could lose just as much as you could gain. My advice during the golden hour? forget selling sealeds and look for all the grossly underpriced items people are selling to afford the newly opened sealeds instead. Most people are too caught up in the sealed to notice things like the 1.4k guitar and the 1.2k lunar cloak I got last night. If I had been busy unloading sealeds for maybe a 2k a pop gain, I woulda missed those, amongst many other things, most notably the 335k AFK I scored. But eh, it's really up to you man.

I did the same, however I was being messaged a bajillion times on msn, so I didnt get much, As for the AFk congrats, I know a few vendors saw it, however all without the currect amount of pure. I on the other hand didn't see it. Kinda gave up and stored my letters away. Not worth my time to make a 60k profit.

a person can make quite a profit by rotating between two items. expeirence treaches me that if the prices drop rapidly, you can wait for that 1% gain to buy back one, then as the price goes up then drops 1% you can sell..
and since you have another in your inventory, you never lose.
realistically, buying in bulk is only useful if the items are going to spike. No spike = pointlessness of large volume.
price fluctuations only require a few of the same item.
unless you are using mules. xp

Hellz do what you think is best... they seem to rise and drop equally... horns were 100k 3 weeks ago they dropped to 88k yesterday back to 100k... its all good timing to be honest timing on when people wanna sell.

alright thanks for the feed back. The sets wouldn't be for selling, I just really don't want any of the donation items other then a pair of nitemare mini wings, so letters are colorful and nice. However, I'm wondering what the current rate on them is..
