What type of bass effects do you have/want? how well do they sound with your bass? or do you like effects at all?
I personally have no effects yet, but I really want a bass distortion and bass wah, although I might need a better amp to have it sound clear...
What about you?

I have quite a few effects for my bass and guitar, but my two favorites are my Digitech BP200 Multi-effects processor and my BOSS Bass Overdrive ODB-3. They sound pretty wicked if executed correctly.. and personally I see no shame in using effects on a bass. Everyone has their own personal preference, so why be so conservative on something that is so expressional and artistic as music. cool

But none of the local shops carry one, so I might have to drive 50 miles to find a bass wah.

compression is when you raise the low sounds of the bass, and lower the sounds of the high notes of the bass, so everything you hit will be of equal balance, like the sounds are compressed into one uniform sound
