Thread & RP Rules Some of these are common sense, but I've listed them anyway just in case. More may be added sooner or later.
I. Do not post in this thread, it is for my use only. Any and all RPs will be transferred into the journal in a single post, or generally as few posts as possible. II. If you would like to RP, or are already in an RP with me and require my attention feel free to PM me. However, please be understanding if I do not respond to an RP for a day or two. After that, I actually suggest that you remind me. III. Be aware going in that this character is hostile and dangerous. No matter how hard you try, it is not likely that this Pokemon will accept you as a friend. If this were to ever happen, you had better believe that you'll have to interact with her a lot before she is anything beyond tolerant of you. IV. If you are unaware of every detail pertaining to this species of Pokemon, which I figure is probably not a worry in a Pokemon-based world, please make yourself aware before interacting. V. Yasha is pretty rude. The player is not. Please do not take personally anything that he does or says in RP. It's between the characters, and nothing more. VI. If your character is human, and male, it is highly suggested that you know how to properly defend yourself if Yasha feels cornered.

Profile for Specimen #055 Name: Yasha Age: Adult Gender: Female Pokemon: Umbreon Starting Stage: Pokemon Some Physical Trait Suggestions for Human Side: Holds herself in a very confident manner, still slightly arrogant. Average height for a young adult human female, thin but not frail. Same fur colorings and patterns as she had as a normal Pokemon, any hair atop the head shouldn't reach past about an inch above the shoulders. Hair preferred straight, though uneven at the ends to give a jagged look. Clothing suggested dark, colors of black and red, black and purple, or black and yellow. She would not be likely to cover more than what's required of her, as she'd still be pretty unwilling to make herself appear any more human than she's already become, shoes would not be tolerated. Any metallic accessories should be gold. Personality: Strongly dislikes humans, and avoids most all males at any cost. Otherwise, very arrogant and confident, she's convinced that she can intimidate everyone with her threats. When said threats don't work, she usually resorts to violence. She does have a softer side, but it's shown to other Pokemon more often than humans, and only female humans whenever that comes about. She seems to have a liking for children of any species, whenever she's crossed paths with them. Strengths: She rarely shows fear, and more often than not is willing to stand up to nearly any opponent or obstacle. Despite her thin frame, she is rather strong and capable of defending herself very well. She is very skilled in battling, hunting, running and swimming. From the massive amount of traveling she's done so far in her lifetime, she has little problem navigating most terrains or adapting to any outdoor environment. As other Umbreon, she also has the ability to secrete poisonous sweat from her pores when she feels threatened. Weaknesses: A strong dislike toward humans, especially males, immediate reaction is to try and intimidate or attack. If this fails, she is likely to flee or show some mixture of panic and fear if escape is not possible. She does not like heights, therefore making it unknown if she can climb any obstacles. Future Plans for Character or Any Extra Info: In the future, Yasha will develop more of an understanding for the humans, and perhaps something past a mere tolerance for their species. Walking in their shoes sort of thing, even though it had been forced. Her relationship with Genken will become less of an unwanted annoyance, after the amount of time they've spent together from the point of arriving together on the island. Aside from Genken, and whatever trust she has for him, she will still hold a dislike and moderate fear of men.
In case I achieve the awesomeness that is extra stages, this would be suggestions for a possible human/final stage: Pale skinned, average height for a female. Thin, but not frail. Holds herself in a very confident manner, still slightly arrogant. Bright crimson eyes with slotted pupils, tipped ears, elongated canines, black hair to the shoulders or perhaps slightly above; Straight yet slightly uneven at the ends, perhaps with the occasional blonde highlight. If permitted, Umbreon's tail. Clothing suggested dark, colors of black and red, black and purple, or black and yellow. Feet bare, with fingernails and toenails filed to sharp points. Any metallic accessories should be gold.Others She's Met Currently None

A Long Life of Obsession As many trainers tend to forget, most Pokemon are still born in the wild. Now, there is no exception for those that are considered to be the rarest of types. It must have been no less than half a decade ago that the wild Umbreon had laid her egg, which in a matter of time hatched into the most unlikely thing that the Pokemon world had seen in quite some time. Twins, born from the same egg. Not unheard of, but even more unusual than that of a human giving birth to more than one child in a single pregnancy.
Despite the unusual birth, the twins seemed healthy and fully developed, if not a bit smaller than an Eevee permitted to grow without another body taking up half of the room. She loved them so, both of them. Her son...and her daughter. Overjoyed that she had birthed twins, she cared not for either any more than the other, even if it was extremely rare for a female Eevee to be born in the first place.
As the duo grew, their mother did everything within her power to protect them. She would die for them if she must, in order to ensure that her young could continue to live as they desired. They lived peacefully and without worry, the forest in which they dwelled untouched by the human hand. She'd found this place just in time, in fact. The Umbreon had searched months for the proper place to raise her children, without the worry of the human trainers discovering them easily.
Her mate had promised to catch up in the journey as well, to aid in her protection in such a vulnerable state, but he had never caught up with her. Though, she still waited hopefully, and had been sure to mark her trail without fail. On the nights of the full moon, she would sit on a hillside and call for him, howling out into the darkness. Slowly in the months that passed, she began to wonder what had become of him, what had caused him to fall behind.
If she were to know that she would never see the father of her children again, perhaps she would have migrated on when the humans began wandering along the borderlines of her territory. Perhaps, but still she waited, risking her family.
It had been six months since the Umbreon had witnessed the birth of her twins, nearly a year since she'd last seen the one that had helped in conceiving them. She'd given up hope, for the most part. Though, the two Eevee would often find her gazing off into the distance, eyes glossy and focused on nothing in particular. Too young to know how much of an impact loosing a mate could be, nor the cause for their mother's distress, they could do nothing but wonder.
She'd told them nothing of their father, determined to share her information on him when her young were old enough to understand. At this point, it would only bring questions she'd be unable to answer. Questions about why he'd left her to find a home alone, why he'd left them. He hadn't left them, it wasn't like him. She wouldn't believe it. Something had kept him from coming to her, and there were times when she wished to go back and search for him. But, she could not. Her son and daughter were too young to make the journey.
So, she had begun teaching them early. About what she knew of the world, of the other Pokemon within it. She taught them of the dangers of the forest they lived in, and demanded that they never leave their home territory. Most importantly, she stressed to them how important it was to avoid the humans. They would hurt them, capture them and take them away from their home forever. Humans were monsters in the mind of this Umbreon, and she passed this fear on to her offspring.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. The lush paradise in which the trio had spent the past several months was discovered by the humans. It was only a matter of time before numbers of them would invade their territory to take what they desired. The plants, the Pokemon. Along the edges of the forest, they even began to take the trees. Their den was deep within the forest, and even though it took a bit longer for the humans to find them, it was bound to happen in due time.
It must have been early morning, when they were awakened by a foreign call. "Hey! I've found a den entrance over here, maybe we can lure something out of it." It spoke, and even if the Eevee and Umbreon could not understand these words, they were terrified as the identity of what was outside clicked. Humans had found them. Their mother recovered almost instantly, and was out like a shot. ~Get out!~ She barked, though none could determine to whom she spoke. To the humans threatening her young, or to the two Eevee that promptly dashed for the rear entrance to their den.
To the horror of both, the human who had spoken was not alone. There were two, both of them men. Both Eevee stared up at the one before them, frozen for only a moment, before instinctively running to where they knew their mother to be. Hiding underneath her body, they whimpered to her, afraid of what would become of them. The man who'd discovered them first stood with an amused grin upon his face, and nudged his partner as he stepped up next to him. "Look at that, I don't reckon I've ever seen a wild Umbreon before." He stated, gesturing to the mother. She tensed, seemingly frozen where she stood. Back arched, hackles raised as she did her damnedest to hold the most threatening position that she could muster through her fear. "Yeah, not to mention the two Eevee... We'll be sure to get onto Boss Giovanni's good side, if we bring these Pokemon back!"
One Rocket gave a short laugh, "Look at 'em. Scared out of their wits! This should be easy..." Reaching to his waist, he removed a PokeBall. "In the bag." He stated, giving the ball a toss. As it hit the ground, there was an eruption of red light. It quickly faded away, revealing a Scizor. Flexing its crab-like claws menacingly, it glared darkly at the Umbreon.
Trembling beneath her, the twins whimpered. Their mother growled loudly, ~When it attacks, you run away. As far and as fast as you can. Don't return until their scent is gone. You listen to me, and don't look back!~
She barely had a moment to take a breath after this command. "Scizor, use your Metal Claw!" In the blink of an eye, the two collided as the Umbreon bound foreword to meet it. A shrill yelp rang through the air, followed by the shouts of the Scizor's master.
Frightened, the Eevee had no choice but to do as their mother instructed. Taking off in the same direction, one Rocket chased after them. "You're not going anywhere!" He yelled after them, unlatching an Ultra Ball and chucking it at them. The brother gave a distressed cry as he was hit and drawn inside, struggling vainly against it with all that he had. As young as the Eevee was, he could not escape from a device of such strength. Defeated, the Ball was promptly retrieved and pocketed.
The young female continued to run, fearing what lingered behind her. She'd heard her brother cry out, and her mother's painful howls were still ringing vividly in her ears. Or, perhaps she could still hear the battle near their den. Regardless, she dashed on until she leapt into a thick mass of vegetation and bushes. Catching her breath, she scanned the area behind her for the human that had run after them, and for her brother. Neither were there...
She remained in her hiding spot, for what must have been hours. The area from which she had come had finally gone silent, and had stayed that way for quite some time. Convinced that it would be safe to return to her home, she backtracked to home from her erratic escape.
The humans were gone, long before she had returned. Her brother was nowhere to be found, captured and taken away by the humans. She'd apparently been dismissed, as they had no idea how far away she'd gotten, nor in which direction she'd gone after sight of her had been lost. Her mother was still there, lying awkwardly outside their den entrance, back to her.
The Eevee approached her mother, pausing a foot or so away. She'd circled the den, in order for her mother to see her approach. Her sensitive nostrils were met with a vaguely familiar scent. Unpleasant to say the least, a scent she could recall her mother to carry briefly after returning from a hunt. This was much stronger, almost more than her nose could bear.
To her confusion, her mother did not rise to greet her. Was she asleep? No, her eyes were open. She couldn't be asleep. Forcing herself to ignore the stench that seemed to insist on lingering, she stepped up to her slowly. Nuzzling her mother's snout lightly, trying to stir her. Nothing. Sitting back onto her haunches, becoming frightened all over again, she whimpered. Examining her slowly, her body was covered in no less than half a dozen deep wounds. Clean cut through her fur and skin. Some seemed to still hold fresh blood, though most had already dried. Eyes dull, clouded and lifeless. She made no movements as her daughter looked her over, gradually beginning to grasp her condition.
Whimpering softly, she shook her head to will away tears. She wouldn't believe it, their mother wouldn't give up, she couldn't be gone. ~Wake up, Momma.~ She pleaded, ~You have to help me...brother is gone.~ She continued, reaching out to paw lightly at her mother's stiff forepaw. Getting no answer, she became more frantic. ~Wake up, Momma! WAKE UP!~
Shouting at her proved useless, it took only a few minutes for her to realize. Her fear had been confirmed, she was completely alone. Her brother, her mother. Gone. Tail dragging the ground, she slowly crept back into their den. It wasn't until she'd curled up into a tight ball, lying where they had always slept together, that she let her emotions win.
It wasn't the last night that the Eevee would cry herself to sleep, many more would follow. Especially as she adjusted to adult life, much sooner than would have been needed. Now that she was alone, she had to fend for herself, or she would not survive. Mother had spoken of hunting, and had been bringing meat back to the den. She was used to eating it, had nothing against the taste. However, seeing as she'd never been taken out on an actual hunt, she only had the vague instructions from her Mother to help her in capturing her meals.
At first, killing another Pokemon seemed like an act of taboo. Though, she learned quickly that holding such a moral would only cause her starvation. A carnivore could not live on plants and water, after all. After countless failed attempts, and some prey-inflicted injuries, she finally caught a small Rattata. With weeks of practice, she began to stalk almost flawlessly. Returning to her den with food began to outweigh the times she'd come home frustrated, with nothing but an empty belly.
Hunting was only the beginning, she had to become stronger. Much stronger. Not only to defend herself from any of the Pokemon in her territory, but in order to protect herself from humans as well. Always convinced that they may one day come back, to take her away like they had her brother, or worse...to do as they'd done her mother.
Sleeping and hunting during the day, she trained herself only at night. Be it with the obstacles that nature provided, or any unsuspecting nocturnal Pokemon that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. In most cases, the victim would be smaller than her, and likely to be on the menu for the next day or two.
She trained relentlessly, determined to become strong. Stronger than her mother, not wanting to allow anyone to deal her the same fate. Perhaps it was her determination, her will to become strong, that helped her to evolve. Her confidence increased even more, the night that she transformed into a Umbreon. Sleek, black fur. Golden patterns that seemed to have a mind all their own, emanating a bright glow. Proudly, she promptly set off in search of her twin, leaving the safety of her territory behind her.
With her evolution, she felt even more powerful. More than double her original size, the abilities that she had cherished had improved. Speed, flexibility, muscle, all of it. She'd use her gifts well, and fearlessly. For her revenge, for what the humans and their Pokemon had done to her family.
Easier said than done. The world around her, she discovered, was crawling with humans. Their cities, villages, tribes. They were everywhere, and it disgusted her. Even worse, they possessed Pokemon that answered to their every whim! How degrading. She couldn't imagine answering to the commands of any human, and was left to hope that her brother had not become one of these...traitors.
She also learned of how humans captured Pokemon, many times more than what she would like to recall. It was only a matter of time, before she learned to be a bit more cautious about approaching humans so readily. Even a threatening Pokemon was a welcome addition to their collections. Needless to say, she eluded capture from the humans who were always ready to battle her.
Trainers, as the traitor Pokemon called them, were there to help and teach Pokemon. She'd hear nothing of it, and even those that tried being kind to her were either frightened or wounded by her in the end. Soon, she had acquired herself a nickname. Yasha, which she learned meant 'female demon' in it's translation. This pleased her, and she decided to refer to herself as such. It suited her well, she knew it, and those who did not quickly learned why.
Though, through the humans she learned of her enemy. Team Rocket. Apparently a group of thieves, and horribly abusive humans. She'd found her more direct target, and journeyed on in search of this...Giovanni that she'd heard tale of.
In her travels, Yasha learned of Team Rocket. Of the humans in general, and their Pokemon. While some angered her to her very core, others were easily tolerated. Some even fed her, trying to coax her into being more accepting of their kind. Some gestures of kindness would be taken advantage of, if there was a need to be satisfied.
Though, she was still cold towards most, especially upon first meeting. One was lucky to be able to remember meeting with her, and not have any scars to show for it. She would not trust them, as soon as she'd let her guard down she'd regret it. There was no doubt of this in her mind, and she wasn't about to risk it.
Remarkably, despite all of her cold actions and suspicious nature, two humans did finally manage to gain her trust. Both were Gym Leaders on a set of remote islands, the Whirl Islands. One was Robin, a fun-loving young woman, who seemed to never be caught in a negative mood. Perhaps her cheerful manner was welcomed, Yasha herself may never fully figure it out. Though, she liked her, and was likely to even make it known.
Second, there was Brian. Ironic that Yasha could ever bring herself to trust a man, but this one she became the closest to. He specialized in Dark Pokemon, both in nature and type. His Gym had been built underground, surrounded by a maze of caverns and long tunnels. Brian was Yasha's first trainer, by the agreement of both. Their dark intentions seemed to mix well, and she joined up with his group of menacing Pokemon.
Over a year passed, and Yasha was pleased. Able to come and go as she desired, she was not held captive as most trained Pokemon. Brian had also changed, being exposed only to her and the other Pokemon in his company. He'd become no less evil that his team, completely heartless in the eyes of most, and many feared them. They were referred to as The Dark Legion, or The Dark Wrath respectively. Leaving in their wake only death and destruction, for those who made the mistake of crossing their master.
Brian held a hate for humans that nearly surpassed Yasha's, and being an ex-member of Team Rocket helped Yasha to understand their actions, and the both of them plotted their own revenge. However, this became the only unused plot in the end. Brian, with no provocation to Yasha's knowledge, released her and the rest of his companions. Leaving her to go on her own way once more, wiser and stronger.
Yasha never truly understood why he'd done it, though somehow she wasn't angered by it. The Umbreon felt as though it was only a matter of time, before she and Brian would meet again. Perhaps not as Pokemon and master, but friends, as dark as they may be.
Alone again, Yasha continued her search. For Team Rocket, and any sign that she could find of her brother. He was still alive, she was convinced of that. She could feel it, somehow. She was determined to find him, one way or another. He was all that she had left, and she had to rescue him from the humans.
To her frustration, all that turned up for her were dead ends. As soon as she thought she'd discovered where the Rockets were hiding, they'd seemingly vanish into thin air. Yasha found this extremely irritating, and began to wonder just how long she would be left to trail them. She still attempts to track them, never one to give up a fight.
