Calamity is defined an event resulting in great loss and misfortune
Setting: It has been nearly 10 years since the 5th War of the Holy Grail. The war which the Master of Servant Saber, Shirou Emiya, destroyed the Holy Grail, ending the cycle of violence. However, could a power as powerful as the Holy Grail be easily extinguished? The world is about to find out. Welcome to the 6th War of the Holy Grail, choose your roles wisely.
The Servant
Contrary to the term, Servants are immensely powerful spiritual beings, capable of feats that humans couldn’t possibly achieve even with the aid of magic. The strongest can lift untold tons of weight and toss it about like a toy. The fastest can move at speeds that even the most modern missiles can’t hope to achieve. The wisest have gained knowledge of magic and artifacts that surpass even that of the Mage Council. A single Servant, with a strong Master at their side, could easily lay waste to an entire city in a single day. No modern technology or weapons are capable of harming them, and the same goes for modern magics. Some Servants are so powerful, that even ancient magic from the time of the old Gods and myths do little or no harm.
In each war, one Servant is assigned to one Master, and only seven are chosen from one of seven classes. These classes are:
Saber – Usually a hero of great renown and a master of the art of combat. Typically wields a bladed weapon. (Examples: King Arthur, Miyamoto Musashi, Charlemagne)
Archer – A usually neutral fighter, who is master of fighting at a distance. Most, if not all, of this Servant’s weapons are ranged. They aren’t usually good with melee weapons, but there are exceptions. (Examples: Gilgamesh, Robin Hood, Hercules)
Caster – Quite simply one of the most magically powerful classes. Caster-class Servants almost always were wizards or sorcerers in their lives, and wield magic far beyond what humans in their day were capable of. They are weak against classes with strong artifacts. (Examples: Merlin, Medea, Bluebeard)
Lancer – Often called the swiftest of the Servants, Lancer is a formidable fighter who can fight at close range or at a distance with their weapon, which is always a spear. They also have a reputation as being unrelenting in battle. (Examples: Leonidas, Lancelot, Hercules)
Berserker – Easily the most difficult Servant to handle. No matter who is summoned, Berserker is in a constant state of insanity, and will not stop attacking until restrained by the Master in some way. Berserker is easily a powerful foe, with peerless defense and overwhelming strength. (Examples: Black Knight, Leonidas, Hercules)
Rider – Despite what one might think, Rider is not a class limited to Horses alone. Indeed, Rider may be summoned as any hero, so long as they have a mount of legendary quality. Their skills vary the most of all the classes, but they can be quite crafty. (Examples: Alexander the Great, Medusa, Ghengis Khan)
Assassin – Unlike the other servants, who are all chosen at random by the Grail, the Servant Assassin always remains the same. He is summoned as Hassan-i-Sabah. He lived in the late 11th century in the heart of the Alborz Mountains of northern Iran. The place was called Alamut and was attributed to an ancient king of Daylam. He founded a group whose members are sometimes referred to as the Hashshashin. He is supposedly the father of the art of the assassin, which takes it’s name from his disciples.
Plot:
This will not follow the anime or game in any way, though references to the latter will certainly be present. Please assume that the events of the Anime are the ones that transpired, since not everyone has played the actual PC game. This will actually be a partially freeform RP. There will be only one strict rule.
NO TIME CHANGES.
Advancing the day ahead will be completely restricted to everyone but myself. I will be doing so, and when the time changes, your posts should reflect this. This is to keep everyone in check, even though I’m giving you free reign with everything else. Also, since Servants are so powerful, I would ask that only skilled RPers attempt to play as one.
Well I'll post my stuff later. Know well though that Servants and Masters are at a first come first serve basis. Here are the character sheets.
