Im bored and wondering what everyone did for summer or is going to do for Fall/Winter holidays ^^;;
My summer was rubbish for most, i was over seas in May and June seeing my fiancee, and hes coming for Christmas. It seems thats all i really plan my year around, is when i can see him and touch him.
I am excited about turning 20, my family doesn't celebrate birthdays, but ive really looked forward to getting out of my 'teens'
I also plan on facing my fear of driving and getting my license :]
Spoonage:
* Summer plans, good and bad
* Fall plans, school perhaps?
* Winter plans, is anything good happening for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Boxing Day, whatever? XD

Well I walked around boston yesterday for the August Moon Festival in Chinatown.
The renaissance faire is starting up at the end of the month. I wish I could go every weekend but I usually only manage one trip. (yay connections and free tickets!)
Other than that burst of excitement Nothing really happens until Thanksgiving/Christmas time. At that point it's all doom and stress and mandatory family time.
Congrats on not being a teen (soon)! I say learn to drive defensively. Learn it really good. That way you are staying aware of all the idiots out there that cut across the highway or make random movements without signals. Constant vigilance! and much shaking of the fist. [:

Well we made the big move from New York to North Carolina last month. We went camping this past weekend and hope to do it often since it's cheap and close by.
Oct. is my wedding anniversary, so we're planning on going to a B&B in Asheville, NC. Looks like we also might be going to a big beer festival with a friend in Oct. And my husband's birthday is also in Oct and he mentioned wanting to go zip lining. Thanksgiving will probably be in Arizona with my family and Christmas in New York with his family.
Wow...I feel so busy,heh.

Congratulations on driving! I know it's kinda scary at first, but you will love it. Just pay attention. Both daughters here are finally ready to get their licenses, too, and I am so glad!
Yeah, summer here after tornado season was kind of a bust, we went straight from mud to dust with hardly a breath between them. Now that the weather is better, I'm planning to get outside and DO SOMETHING!!!! It's been rough with no garden. That's therapy!
Labor Day should be a big family gathering here, then another at Thanksgiving, and another at Christmas. They are always great fun, it's wonderful when all the family gets together! Way too much to eat and not enough sleep, but lots of cooking and laughter and late nights out at the fire. I can hardly wait!!!
Oh, I almost forgot! We are really into the pumpkin-carving thing here at Halloween. It has become quite a competition at the house. We all look forward to that! And there will be birthdays for the girls in November and December---that's making custom cakes here. The oldest daughter just made one for her boyfriend's birthday, an electric guitar like his. She did a great job and he was really surprised! That's kind of a competition, too---we always have to out-do all the previous years' cakes---it's getting harder every year. Thank goodness for the "Ace of Cakes" for new ideas.

I went to a Native Pow-wow a few weeks ago, and hopefully here soon, I would be able to get tickets for the state fair.

We carve pumpkins too ^^;; My dad used to give a Haunted House for the neighborhood when i was little, but now people are scared of Halloween because of the whole 'candy with razors' deal. So we don't get trick-or-treaters. We used to get really decked out x3 We should have a guild pumpkin carve off thing..hrrm.. >_> And my friends mom makes VERY elaborate cakes for her daughters birthday, she made me one like 4 years ago, since i spent my birthday week at their house - my parents went on vacation and they couldnt work with the date. She also sells her cakes for those elaborate sweet 16 parties for $100-$175 >_< You should become an entrepreneur...Sell the cool stuff you make xd

I'm hoping to go to a Pow-Wow here next weekend smile And I just love fairs, no matter what the size. The small county fairs here are great, kids with their animals are the best part, I think.
