The Heralds helped the Sanctum reform after the Storm Metaplot. They gave sacrifices, which kept the Sanctum from becoming destroyed. Because of the diversity of the Heralds, the Sanctum developed as well.

Mountains still encase the entire area, and no one is able to get past the range. By flight, the air is so turbulent that a Herald's wings would simply be torn and broken. By the ground, one would wind up freezing, despite any of their gifts, and be lulled to sleep - only to wake up again in the center of the Sanctum. Even the river that runs through the area cannot be used to trasp past. The Sanctum is a magical world, and it is quite possible that there is nothing beyond those impassable mountains.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The villages and cities do not have names.... so post your ideas for them here. Also, feel free to add what kind of shops exist in each village/city.

[Temple]
The ruins are still at the center of the Sanctum, and at the very core of this place is the Temple in which the Heralds gave their sacrifices. The temple and the sacrifices are still there, encased at the altar within. The ruins which mimicked the temple in appearance still lay around the area, a memory of what happens when the Sanctum is forgotten.

[Mountains]
In the mountains there is a castle with unknown number of rooms and rocky offshoots. Rooms are even extended into the very mountain itself. Smaller rock buildings surround the castle. Paths and coblestone streets connect the buildings on the outside, and there is one main street that travels to the foot of the mountain.

[Forest]
In the forest, all the buildings are up in the treets. Rope and wooden bridges connect the tree houses. The homes have many layers, with ladders going further and further up. Ghostly animals live in the Forest, and offer companionship. A thin trail goes through the woods that helps travellers who wish to visit on foot.

[Hills]
In the hills there is what can be termed a modern city. Main street is the main road, and shops and homes line them. Some of the shops are finished, while some buildings lay vacant - ready for someone to open shop. There is a starbucks.

[Lake]
In the lake there are many sunken ships - or so they appear! These ships may have once been sea-worthy, but now they were partially sunken and sealed. People can now live in them without the fear of drowning or getting precious possessions wet. Plank-bridges and rope bridges offter foot-travelling to each ship house. Ghostly fish live in the lake, and you can see them swimming through the 'windows' of the ships.

[Plains]
In the plains there lies a villages made up on canvas and hides teepees and huts. Some are decorated in lavish colors while other remain naturally bare. This village does not move like some of its more traditional counterparts. A dusty trail is the street for this village.

[Clouds]
There is even a floating village in the clouds made of metal, gems, and marble. The buildings spire up and they are paths of pristine goodness connect the buildings. Because this village is actually in the clouds, it moves along above the sanctum - but it cannot get past the turbulent winds of the mountains.

KEEP IN MIND!
-There are naturally no physical animals that exist in the Sanctum, but there are animals that are more like ghosts. They are transparent and cannot physically touch anything. Even though they are like ghosts, they do not float but walk or fly or swim like they always did. The ghostly animals seem to have unnatural intelligence. They can make sounds but only those they would naturally make normally...but that twinkle in their eyes, they know something is up. Only animals, though, no humans or human-like people...however, a Herald can bring animals to the Sanctum, and they would be like they always would. As of right now, they cannot bring anyone or anything that isn't a Herald or an animal.

-You cannot get past those mountains. What is beyond them is a mystery, if there even is anything. If you Herald wishes to try to get past them, than they would either crash to the ground from the turbulent winds or eventually fall asleep for whatever reason and wakeup at the temple. You can go on treks, etc, and be fine, but if you try to get past the mountains the Sanctum will stop you.

-Right away, all the villages are abandoned. They are not all empty, as some have wares and food and drink and entertainment. Anything from these cannot be taken from the Sanctum, they would simply not travel back with a Herald to Gaia. Your Herald is more than free to settle down in a house or start up shop.

-More will come...
