Murasame mused to himself lazing in the sun of the Pridelands. A smile was upon his maw thinking of his new friend, more then that, he blushed at the thought nad pawed at the grassblades in front of him. He wanted to tell his mom and dad, he really did, but he figured they would get all mushy and gross so he thought it was best to keep it his little secret.
Tearh was a tiny female compared to the others around her. She was smaller in stature, but she was just as fast though did not have the brute strength other huntresses might have. She was smart, shy, but she had made a wonderful friend recently, and she felt warm and safe around him. Underneath the rays of the sun she wandered towards ‘their’ place to meet so that they could be alone for a while away from family, to keep it secret.
“Tearh,” he said to himself softly, loing how her name rolled off form his tongue, he wondered if she felt the same when she said his own name. Such a wonder, wonderful it was and he loved the feeling inside, he had never known such a feeling before. “I wonder where she’s gone,” he said aloud, peering around with bright hues hoping to see her silouette appear and come closer with each passing moment.
“Looking for me?” Tearh said softly with a soft purr and a graze of her cheek against his own,” she sat next to him, leaned against his side and sighed in satisfaction feeling him close at her side once more, “Its so hard getting away from my father you know, he follows me around everywhere and is so protective…how did you get away this time?”
Murasame heard her voice and melted at her purr and contact against his cheek and curled himself around her somewhat to nuzzle against her, keep her close. He laughed and nuzzled her cheek, flicking his tail. “Your father is a great lion Tearh, he is protective of you because he loves you dearly, I really should talk to him, I don’t want him to come after me for sneaking around with his ‘baby girl,” Murasame said with a laugh and a cheesy grin on his maw.
“Oh be quiet,” Tearh said smacking him on the shoulder, laying her head on his paws and laying her tail with his, letting them curl together. “I think he would understand, but it would be best for him to find out …not now, I like this…this secret, its nice to have something of my own my mother and father don’t know about, but I have a feeling my mother might know…” Tearh loved her mother so, but didn’t want her father to drive Murasame away.
Murasame stuck his tongue out at Tearh and purred low in his throat and lay his head next to hers, relishing in the fact that they were here, and that they were alone now watching the sun set below the horizon line. “Do you think they’d be happy….all of them?” he asked softly, he was nervous too, for their friendship, what they had in secret, Murasame didn’t want secrets to tear them all apart in the end.
“I think so, its just, telling them, it will all work out, like you’ve said before,” Tearh nestled herself against Murasame’s side, purred and let her head snuggle beneath his chin. Her tail lay with his, curling against his, feeling the warmth, the cofort of him at her side. Murasame said that he vowed to be with her, keep her safe when her family was, or was not there. Either way, this was how she liked it, feeling warm, safe, feeling like she would never be alone, ever.
Murasame purred deep in his throat and curled himself around her. In truth, tearh was quite small for her age, her build was sleek and not as large as an adult female’s muscle build should be, but she was beautiful in his eyes, and nothing would change that fact. “Yea, it’ll be alright,” he said with a smile, closing his eyes, listening to their hearts beat together in unison, as if one. They were one, yes, and their families would become one as well someday. Someday.
“Perhaps we should just show up at our parents den entrance’s muggin’ eachother, “ Tearh said with a slight blush on her cheeks thinking of the idea, and in front of her parents no less! She felt hot and shook her head, dizzy? No, something else, but it was nice, she didn’t want it to go away. It was strange, like butterflies in her stomach with hopper bugs, like she was swimming in the sun, strange. “Do you feel it too?” she asked aloud, wondering if he knew what she spoke of, or if it was just her coming down with some strange sickness.
Muramsae chuckled and pawed at her, “I don’t think that would be the best first impression of our togetherness in our parents eyes Tearh,” he said softly. Staying close he let his tail intertwine with hers, and it was nice. Felt what? He quirked a brow, thinking, feeling, what did he feel? Something strange, something..new, nice. He smiled, nodded his head and purred, “yes, I do,” what was it though. Something he had never known before in his life..was it, what his, her parents had together? Perhaps, but how could he be sure?
Tearh sighed in content, and craned her neck in a manner that she could look up into his eyes, her light blue into his orange, and he smiled. Licked his cheek, bold for her as well, considering she was so shy, a blush came across her pale pelted cheeks, and she could not hide it, nor wished to hide it from him. This felt right, and she didn’t want it to stop, didn’t want to not have this with him. She closed her eyes again, nestled her head beneath his chin and rubbed gently, “Stay Murasame,” as if he was to leave. She wanted him to stay, wanted…this.
Murasame watched her, and was taken aback by her movement, he motion, he knew her personality, knew this was unlike anything. He licked the top of her head as she settled herself against him again, his mane fluffy and a spot for her he guessed. He heard her voice, and his heart felt warm, his chest swelled, and he closed his eyes, “Always,” he said simply, keeping her close. New beginning, new…everything.
