Hania breathed in the mid-morning air happily as he trotted out into the clearing. It was a beautiful day, and he had a feeling he would be able to see most of his family today (besides his daughter Aruna that is) as he drank from a pool that came from a rushing brook on the other side. He turned when he heard other hooves behind him. "Good morning, Aruna," he greeted. Aruna usually slept in during the day because she stayed up most of the night to watch the night sky and see the sunrise.

Aruna nodded to her father as she came up behind him. "Good morning, Father," she replied, somewhat weary. She had had disturbing dreams as she slept, but she was fine now, for at least, she had had a fitful sleep. "You're very cheerful this morning, Father..." Hania only hummed happily, and so she followed him as he took her for their daily exercise of trotting, cantering, and running... or so she thought. This was the direction to her mother's teepee. We're going to visit Mother today?

Mahiri was drinking from a pot put out by the girl, Artemis was with her. The two mares were drinking happily after their last meal that was a little spoilt, the girl had been working hard lately!

The fox mares ears suddenly flicked back and she raised her head to nicker at her mate. She could hear him coming a mile off!

Turning she trotted towards him where she saw her daughter, "Hania, Aruna!" She nuzzled Hania's neck and then Aruna's. It was nice to see them both again! "Follow me, there is someone who might like to see you!"

Hania nuzzled his mate back, happy to see her again. "Oh? And whom might this be? If you're playing tricks again on me with Swafi, Hiri, I'm not laughing again," he teased, and beckoned to his daughter.

Aruna smiled at her mother and nuzzled her back as well. "Someone new? You make friends so easily, Mother," Aruna said, chuckling. Her curiosity was peaked, however, and so she followed her mother to go see who it was.

Mahiri chuckled, "No Swafi is off somewhere! Come see!" She didn't say anything about her daughters remark, after all it wasn't everyday that they got to see Artemis!

As they reached the Teepee, Mahiri stood aside leaving Artemis, who was still drinking, in full view.

Hania stared for a second, startled. "Can it truly be...?" He recognized her immediately (for he wouldn't be a great father if he didn't know his children) and he gaped a bit, so surprised as he was. "Artemis...?" he finally breathed out. It was so startling to see his [long-lost] daughter. He hoped Aruna recognized her sister.

As Aruna approached, she noticed a brown mare drinking, and as she observed the mare, something in the back of her mind tingled with familiarity. However, she didn't quite recognize her until Hania said "Artemis" and she allowed a soft gasp to emerge from her mouth. Her sister? No, she was dreaming. But it was true. "Artemis?!" she cried out softly (for she was one to never say things loudly) and gawked. She was that surprised; she dropped her mask of indifference, after all.

Mahiri let out a small chuckle as she trotted towards Artemis. She saw her daughter more then her daughter saw anyone else but it was time they had a bit of a get together, if only Barin was around!

Artemis looked up and a smile crossed her face. She looked at her mother who nodded and then she bowed her head walking towards her father and sister. "Hello Father, Aruna..." She was a little timid, it was strange seeing family you hardly knew.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"What's this? My daughter, being afraid of me? Why, I'm hurt, dearest Artemis," Hania teased her gently as he walked over to where his mate and other daughter stood. "That's it! You should hang out with Aruna (preferably Bairn, actually, because I think Aruna might scare you with her friends...) more!" he smiled at her, and nuzzled her gently. He wanted to appear to Artemis as a father that cared.

Hania had whispered something that she couldn't hear, but she figured it was something teasing. She glared at her father, and then gave Artemis a half-tilted smile. "Hello, Artemis. I'm sorry I didn't recognize you right away. And don't worry about Father, he's a bit deprived from having fun since he hardly ever sees Mother anymore." She could feel her father's mocking-glare on her, but ignored it as she smiled a bit more to reassure her sister.

Mahiri walked over to Hania and nudged him, "Be nice!" She chuckled and nipped at his neck affectionatly. She seemed somewhat calm, different to her normal bouncy self but this was a moment to be calm, her family was pretty much all together, the thing was, Barin would be back soon enough and Artemis was rarely around, so this was something of a special moment.

Artemis watched her mother and then smiled at father, "As if it is possible to be scared of someone like you!" She then turned to her sister and chuckled, "Maybe they want a bit of alone time!" She laughed and winked at Aruna so that neither of their parents could see it.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Do you really think that, Artemis?" Hania asked, feigning shock. He had been listening in. "And.. ow, Hiri, Okay, I'll be nice." He grinned, feeling happy. Today was most definitely special; after all, he had his family together, and Artemis was here. Too bad Bairn wasn't around.

Aruna smirked. "Yes, maybe Mother and Father would like to have alone time? Are we getting in the way?" She winked back at her sister. It felt good to finally get to know her sister. She herself was close with Bairn, but Aruna was thrilled to finally get to know her sister better.

Mahiri smiled, "Come on Hania" She whispered quietly, "Leave the girls to get to know each other." She then moved to go off into the forest, after all, they did need some alone time!

Artemis nodded and then watched her mother go off, she then turned to Aruna, "Ok, come on then. Take me somewhere so we can chat and move!" She wasn't keen on staying in one place, it was nice to get out and about!

Hania mock-pouted. "Do I really have to?" He laughed, and nuzzled Mahiri. "Oh, all right. Have fun girls, but be careful, okay? If you have trouble, yell, okay?" He smiled at them, and followed after his mate. He really couldn't say no to her.

Aruna watched as her father left with her mother, and then turned to Artemis. "Well, how about we head over to one of my favorite places to hang out? It's where I've met a lot of different Soquili." She led the way, going in the opposite direction of their parents.

Artemis laughed as her mother and father went off before turning to her sister, "Sure, anywhere is fine with me! I need to meet some others anyway!" She let out a small chuckle before shifting about on her hooves. She still felt a little uncomfortable but as they moved slowly she shook her head, sending her curly mane flying in all directions.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki

"You act kind of like Mother and look like Father," Aruna commented, smiling. "But I'm sure you're altogether completely different from them, too. We all are." Aruna led Artemis to a secluded looking clearing, where many hooves (including hers and now Artemis's) had trampled over the grass and dirt, but it was pretty, for there was bubbling brook nearby, and many flowers of many colors all around, too.

Artemis listened and let out a small smile, "I am normally a little more calm and gentle but well, its different around your family, especially if you don't see them often!" She nickered happily and followed her sister, hoping maybe she will bump into someone else.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
((Taro is so awesome, Hime! <3))

"I completely agree. I'm different when I'm with family!" She laughed softly, and showed her the place she always came to. "In a way, this is almost a secret spot." She smiled at her sister. She was very gentle. "So, have you met anyone you like?" She asked, sounding casual but hoping Artemis caught the hint.

Remove
She smiled, "Secret hey?" She chuckled and shook her head, "No not in either way, what about you?" She tilted her head looking interested. She had to know if her sister had a guy, it was natural for sisters right?

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki

"Huh?" Aruna blinked, slightly startled. She forgot that the question would be fired back at her. "Sort of. I guess you can say I fell in love, and then... things happened and I haven't been too stable in that emotion." She smiled at her sister, trying to let Artemis know that she was fine.

Artemis listened and tilted her head, "Oh? What happened?" She trotted down to a small stream and drank a little, her mouth feeling somewhat dry, though whether that was nerves or something else, she wasn't quite sure.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna smiled sadly. "I think I have weird tastes, that's all." She didn't really feel like talking about it until the issue itself had settled. She had met Rahu again and again, but they could seem to get the problem fixed. "The problem isn't entirely fixed yet, so I'll tell you the whole story when it's all done and over with." She, too, was thirsty, and followed suit with her sister to have a drink.

Remove
"At least you have met others!" She slowly raised her head and looked around, she could see no one and it depressed her slightly. She wanted to make some friends, she was kind, gentle and was sure that she should have some friends!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna smiled at her sister. "Friends? Only two or three, really. The others I'm at odd's ends with. I always argue with them." She laughed. "Trust me, I don't really consider them friends until we've actually agreed on something. With you, though, it's a wonder you don't have more friends than me!" Aruna knew her sister, now that she knew Artemis a little better, would have an easy time making friends. "I bet you know nicer Soquili I do!"

Remove
Artemis laughed, "I dont have friends, just others I briefly met!" She nickered a little pretending that it didn't matter. After all being unsocial wasn't all that bad, surely!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Loneliness doesn't suit you, Artemis," Aruna said softly. "And those others you met briefly are still your friends, no matter if you've met them briefly." She nuzzled her sister. "I understand, Artemis, so it's okay." Aruna preferred being by herself, but she liked having company, too, from time to time.
