There is usually at least one feat that each person has achieved in their life in which they take exceptional pride. There is already a thread on impossible dreams, but for those that have achieved the dreams they had thought impossible, there is true pride to be felt. What have you done that you would like to share with us?

I inspired this, I'll take a post. xD<33

I've been a part of the Simming community for years, since the Sims 1 site. I was a bit of a prommie there, and was one of the first to know about a new screenshot of TS2. I can't pinpoint specific examples, but things I have suggested have made it into the official TS2 games. I've talked to developers of the games as well. I've been out of touch with the site for nearly a year now, so don't ask me for updates on TS3 quite yet. I need to see if any of the old oldbies are still there. xD<3

An achievement I would have thought impossible for myself would have to be climbing Ayers Rock. What with my fear of heights, I really didn't think I was going to be able to do it. The view from up there was amazing, though...truly worth the effort. I'm glad I did it.

I don't take any pride in what I've accomplished, as most of it could be done by absolutely anyone. It's not difficult at all to graduate magna c** laude in one's department or to be selected for a bunch of honor societies. What's difficult is trying to market oneself after graduation. So really, I've accomplished nothing special, if I've accomplished anything at all.

But are you not proud of yourself for graduating in the first place? You have accomplished something in doing that.

It's not exactly hard to graduate as long as one turns in his assignments. It's not like I had to study really hard or anything, so no, it's not a major accomplishment.

I helped in a program called the P2D2 program. It stands for Prescription Pill and Drug Disposal program. I helped stuff envelopes to state and federal senators, and representatives. I did an interview for the Journal Star out of Peoria IL. The program got our town's (and some surrounding towns) pharmacies to do a take-back program for un-used and out-dated drugs. It is really awesome, and I can't wait for my Senior year so I can do more with it. My class, along with the Ecology classes, got Green Youth awards for helping in the project.

Something I am proud of? Winning the gold medal for singing in a CYO competition back in 7th grade. Grade school was absolutely dreadful, as I constantly was picked on and called fat, so winning that medal was a way I could show people I could amount to something. Also, being accepted for a scholarship to one of the top high schools in the state is another thing I'm proud of.
Random other things: One of the original members of this guild. The rest isn't Gaia-related, but here goes. Co-creator of "We Hate Kaiba! Corp.", Co-founder of KiHe-gumi, Founder of MC-gumi (those are all websites I made long ago), Creator of "Don't You Wish Your Yaoi Was Hot Like Mine?" group on Facebook, and Creator of "It's... Gravitation" group on Facebook. Yeah, I know, not all the noteworthy, but.. xP

Dang. Pretty good.

I was accepted to be in the Miss Missouri Pageant, the winner to move up to the Miss America Pageant. But even though it was hosted (and still is) by Donald Trump NBC.. it cost so much. I couldn't raise enough money.. I donated every penny to the Hodges Park upgrade. I may not have even went to the pageant, but it was great to be accepted.

Publishing my books was an accomplishment. It may have been easy.. and free.. and maybe anyone can publish anything on that site.. but I still did it, finally.

Finally getting a car, though it broke down and I only got to drive it for maybe 30 minutes all together..

So, my accomplishments may not be so great..haha..

In September, I participated in a counter-protest which I helped organize (I was like the pubicity person, helping to get the word out about it) along with a group of my friends. The turnout was so much better than we could've dreamed, and it really opened up my eyes.
A bit of backstory time now~ When I went to re-register for high school, I heard my old high school was going to run "The Laramie Project" so I did some research and found out that it was about the death of Matthew Shepard (You can read more about "The Laramie Project" here.) Through a friend, I heard that the Westboro Baptist Church was planning a protest at my old school because the play is about a gay man (Sidenote: The WBC are a notorious hate group in the US, to put it very lightly. One could very easily liken them to modern-day Nazis, only non-violent. They essentially share the same views. Thankfully though, the members seem to consist of Reverend Fred Phelps [the founder and owner of their website, GodHatesFags.com] and his family. All in all, about 20 members. Before I go on a rant, I'll stop talking about them), and, being the hate mongers they are, the WBC is against homosexuality (and Isreal, and Jews, and Iraq, and Obama, and everything that isn't exactly what they believe) and got the idea to spread their hate, whether or not their presence was welcome. My friend mentioned organizing a protest to protest their presence, and it all went from there. We set up a peaceful "silent" protest in support of the play and spreading love and acceptance to be held outside of my old school on September 24, the same day they were scheduled to hold their protest. To sum it up, 249 people came in support of our cause (283 if you count the students who weren't allowed in our protest but formed their own outside of the school as well), and only 6 people showed up from the WBC, including one child. We also set up a fund-raising site and raised $7700 for local LGBT support groups. Needless to say, it went very well for us, and nothing bad came of it. I'll skip on the little details to keep this from running longer than it has already, but I can give you links and such to news stories and YouTube videos of the protest.
This was a huge accomplishment to me, to be a part of something like this. I've always been in support of gay rights/equality for everyone, and being a participant in this and meeting so many others who shared my views was really something to me. I've never been in a protest before, and to see just how many people showed up and to know that I was partly responsible for getting the word out about it really made me feel like I had done something really worthwhile, allbeit small, but worthwhile nonetheless. I'll stop rambling now ^_^;;

I was told to post this here.
I placed in the Week 3, 2011 cosplay arena with this avatar...
http://www.gaiaonline.com/arena/gaia/cosplay-avatar/vote/?entry_id=102441339#title
It was in first place but five minutes before the voting closed it dropped down to second place. I lost the first place spot by .01 of a point. Still, it did really well, much better than I had thought it would.

I got my Eagle Scout. I am very proud of that. I had less than a week to finish my Eagle Project and It was done an hour before my 18th birthday.
