It's actually quite rare to be able to see Sephyr doing absolutely nothing and worrying about even less. Today, while the sun ragged over the cool shade of the tree he stood under, the blue male actually appeared quite calm if not slightly drowsy. There just doesn't seem to be a lot happening in his life at the moment and it was driving him quite insane. Despite his cool appearance, his muscles were aching quietly to be worked. His body was unaccustomed to extended periods of rest and he had half a mind to go out and search for a lake or what-not to take a swim or just run a bit.
The blue ulaya let out another yawn. He vaguely wondered what his troublesome twin, Sakari was up to. Unlike her, Sephyr's personality could not be considered friendly or welcoming. There was certain coldness about his whole demeanor that seems to irritate most other ulayas and prevent him from making any good friends. According to his sister, he was socially challenged. Sephyr rolled his eyes at the thought and turned he head slightly in a different direction to watch a leaf flutter by. He may die of boredom soon.

Considerably less bored, Serio plodded through the forest, gaze ever searching. For what? Well, nothing in particular. He was just enjoying the beauty of nature around him. After all, there was nothing more beautiful. He considered that idea for a moment. Maybe his sister was more beautiful... And maybe little kits, in their own way, were more beautiful. He shook his head, clearing the internal confusion. Nature had its place in that order somewhere. It was certainly beautiful. That's all that mattered. He nodded firmly to no on in particular.
Time passed by quickly. A surprising thing, since he hadn't come across many overly interesting things on his adventure. Behind him, a slender tail swayed, mirroring the still wild search of his eyes. Nothing but the beauty of nature so far. Nothing, nothing, until... He stopped, coming upon one of the many 'ends' of the forest. Padding up to the treeline, he peeked out into the openness before him. A funny little expression revealed itself as he now scanned down the edge of the trees. On his right, he happened to notice something a bit less green and brown than the rest of his surroundings. Curious, he wanded towards the currently unidentified blue something-or-other. Ears were perked and forward.

There was barely a sound in his surroundings which made the waiting, if you could call it that, all the more unbearable. Waiting for what exactly, even Sephyr didn't seem to know. His half-lidded eyes lazily gave another sweep of the land more out of habit than anything else. However, this time, it did not come up empty. Out of the corner of his gaze, the male managed to catch a fleeing glimpse of an approaching figure. He couldn't catch the sight properly without turning he head full. With a single, smooth movement, Sephy was on his feet slightly on alert in case the other was an enemy or of that nature.
Brown and black were the dominating colors of this foreign figure and Sephyr narrowed his eyes against the rays of the sun to get a better look. It seemed, by the outlined shadow, that it was another ulaya approaching; however, this particular male had a pair of large horns and that strange long tail. By now, the blue male had his ears fuller perked forwards, his stand fairly upright, and the furs on his back rising in anticipation.

"Ah!" The excited sound rose in his throat quickly. Even as he moved closer and closer, it wasn't until the blue form chose to stand that he was able to see and process exactly what it was. While he'd been outright hoping it was another ulaya, he figured he could only trust his luck to provide him with a pretty blue flower or something of the sort. Now he could only hope his luck would hold up and provide a friend who wouldn't flee from his overly friendly personality. He increased his pace to barely under a run. With all the underbrush, he couldn't risk too much more than that.
Coming upon a rather large fallen branch, he hopped up onto it, claws digging into the bark to steady his form. Most certainly in full view now, despite still being ten feet or so away, he grinned toothily, tail flicking ever wilder. "Hey!" he greeted loudly, staring down at the other male. "I'm Seriozha." He jumped from the branch, closing the gap between them, minus a socially acceptable amount of personal space, of course. "Nice to meet you!"

Sephyr got quite a shock that shook his calm heart when, without warning, the ulaya proceeded towards him, hopping on and over a branch right into his face. The blue male, fairly calm considering his lack of personal breathing room, merely took a small step back so that he was comfortable looking at Seriozha. Since that didn’t succeed n annoying him, this particular male seem very abhorrently loud. At this, Sephyr blinked almost painfully,
"Hi," he spoke with an irritated edge in his voice that seemed to always reside in his voice. That was probably one of the things that prevented other ulayas from enjoying a decent conversation with him. "If you could lower the decibels of your voice, it's a pleasure to meet you. The call me Sephyr."

In one motion, Serio plopped uncerimoniously onto his bottom. Out behind him, his tail still swayed, rustling the underbush as it went. "Mm, sorry." The level of his speech lowered obviously at the resquest. The other sounded annoyed. Not knowing such a thing was basically normal, he couldn't help but immediately obey in order to keep this meeting from going south before he could really enjoy it. Still, the friendly smile never left his maw. He looked just as glad to have found this company as he did just moments ago, perched on the fallen branch. After all, the other male hadn't up and walked off yet! That, sadly, had happened to him before.
"Sephyr is a nice name," he commented genuinely, glancing at their surroundings now. This place looked new to him, despite all the exploring he'd done throughout his life. Alone time was usually too boring without wandering around somewhere. It was nice to think that there were still places he hadn't seen. That made the idea more interesting. "Do you hang out around here a lot?" It seemed like a good place to be, but at the same time, he couldn't imagine staying in one place for long.

The male seemed very relaxed in his presence which confused Sephyr slightly since he usually caused other ulayas to turn defensive on him or worse. However, Seriozha's ease seem to grow on him and make the blue male slightly less tense, which was usually hard to accomplish even by his own twin. Quietly, he even sat down before the darker figure before him in order to appear more welcoming despite how awkward he felt at the moment.
"Thanks," He starting slowly, not sure whether or not that was a comment he should have replied to or not. Luckily, Serio's question succeeded in drawing his attention elsewhere which eased his irritated voice into something more passive. "No." He paused then rushed his own question. "Why are you here?" Sephyr mentally hit himself for sounding rude. "I mean, what brings you here? Were you looking for something?" Now he just sounded overly nosy… this conversing thing was harder than he thought.

"Eeh? Me?" The horned male looked thoughtful for a moment. In truth, he didn't have to consider it very deeply. The only reason he was here was because he was bored and had few friends. The expression he wore soured a bit without warning. "Just exploring," he finally answered, willing the unfriendly look from his face. It certainly wouldn't do to have his new acquaintance think him unsocialble. "When I'm alone, I get bored," he continued honestly. "I'm alone a lot, so I wand- Er... explore a lot." A sheepish laugh rose in his throat. Just wandering seemed like a stupid thing to say. Exploring sounded more professional.
Continuing to glance around inconspicuously, he laughed again. Most of the previous feeling had vanished, however, and his laugh was far more relaxed. "Not really looking for anything, I guess." Nothing but excitement and company. "Ah, but what about you? Were you looking for something here?" His wandering eyes settled on Sephyr curiously. The other male may have thought such a question nosy, but Serio thought nothing of the sort.

Sephyr only vaguely, at the corner of his eye, caught a glimpse of Serio's unexpected change in expression that disappeared as quickly as it came. However, he knew better than to ask about or press the matter. Instead, found him more and more amused at the male's strange personality which was so different from his own.
Before Sephyr could catch himself, his usual rudeness reared its ugly head. "You're quite the fool to be exploring in such hot weather." Again, he mentally hit himself and just as quickly but more nervously added, "I mean, fool as in someone… with a funny personality." He paused then mentally gave that save spot a good head after realizing what he said. Finally giving up, he gave a pitiful huff. "I have no idea what I'm talking about."
Embarrased beyond belief, he gave a weak attempt at changing the subject. Suddenly, Sephyr turned his attention to Seriozha. "I was actually thinking of finding a lake because of the heat."

Another laugh, this one a bit louder than the last, rose in his throat. Was this one mentally conflicted? Ah, it seemed so. Or maybe he just wasn't a conversationalist. Seriozha was willing to keep up the friendly banter either way. "It's alright, I've been called worse," he revealed, looking not at all bothered by it. The fact that Sephyr had attempted to rectify his name calling was enough to keep him from getting upset. He had been, as stated, been called much worse in the past. Those times, there had been no attempt at friendliness after the fact. Sometimes he wondered if maybe he should try to be less forward. But, whenever he saw someone to talk to, he forgot and bounded forward with child-like vigor. Ah well.
"It's not that hot, though, is it?" He hadn't noticed. What with all his fun exploring, he'd been distracted. Or maybe it was just because he was deeper in the trees where not as much light penetrated. Here, at the end, he could feel the sun more prominent on his fur. "Maybe it is." He gave a toothy grin. "I haven't seen any lakes around here. But I don't think I've ever explored down that way." A paw pointed back behind the other male. "Well, I don't know if I've ever explored much at all around here," he said with a huff, peeking behind himself.

Sephyr felt all the tension roll off his body from the other male's laugh. Laughing meant Serio wasn't as anger or upset as what the blue male had anticapated which was a surpising but good thing to know. He let a small smile pass over his face as Seriozha explained. He had to admit, he has been on the recieving side of many aggressions or unwelcome attitudes as well although they were more physical than name-calling, so found it easy to understand the male's point.
"It's curious that you couldn't tell. I'm sure you've been out for a while," Sephyr's speech seemed to slow as he ended his comment as though making sure it wasn't something offending that just, as usual, flies out his mouth. He looked around before backing up more under the shade of the tree. "It's cooler here," he offered rather nervously, never use to kind acts.

"Mm, I am outside most of the time. But wandering through the forest, it's not so hot. There are a lot leaves to hide under and some little streams to get a drink from." In fact, he'd passed two streams on his way here. One had been quicker than the other, but he wondered idly if they were different parts of the same single stream, anyway. It was actually very likely.
Looking to his right, he gazed off deeper into the trees for a moment. It wasn't a lake or anything, but he was sure he could find his way back to one of those streams if his new company happened to want a drink or something. A good, cold paw soak on a hot day was always a nice break, too. If nothing else.
"Eh?" He blinked, attention drawn back to the present. It took him a moment to process whether the other meant merely to comment or to offer the shade's comfort. The fact that he had moved back to make room eventually assured Serio of the later. For that, he was exceptionally glad. "Thanks," he said, smiling gratefully and standing to move under the tree. The tempurature was suprisingly cooler for such a small distance. Settling back into a sit and leaning slightly against a prominent tree root, his expression remained happy. "We could always look for a lake like you were thinking." It could be an interesting adventure.

Sephyr found himself to be rather foolish for not thinking of those choice of actions. Of course the other male was not foolish enough to dehydrate in the heat or anything and it would only seem logic rivers ran close to this lush patch of land. If there were no immediate water sources nearby, nothing would be able to grow so green. He nodded in understanding at Serio's comment.
At the darker male's suggestion, Sephyr gave a slight half-smile in effort to appear at ease. "I had assumed it would be more comfortable for you if we let you cool down a bit after your travels," he sounded slightly undersure whether or not it was wise to show the same care he gave his sister. After all, the male might assume that he was looking down at him, or worse, making fun of him. At that terrible though, Sephyr tried to keep his expression slighly impassive and serious.

For a moment, Serio looked taken aback. Not because he was upset, but rather because he wasn't used to anyone showing any kind of worry for him. Quickly, he maw turned up in a grin. "Haha, thanks. You don't need to worry, though, I'm not so overheated." Well, then again, he figured as soon as he said that and they wandered off, he'd realize he really did need a rest. "But it wouldn't hurt to stop for a little bit." Stretching out much like a cat, he curled up, still pushed against the tree root from before. He'd grown to like the feeling of it at his back already. His long tail flicked out from his rolled up form. Smiling more, he let his gaze wander around their surroundings a bit more. "Do you have any family?" he asked after a while of silence. It was the best thing he could think to ask. After all, he wasn't sure how personal his questions could get with this one. Everyone was different when it came to what they were willing to answer. Serio only hoped that Sephyr wouldn't mind this question. He loved learning about other's families.

Sephyr watched Serio quietly before deciding to settle himself down as well. It didn't hurt too much to relax since he was accustomed to having to do that often for his twin, who traveled less then him. His eyes slowly returned to its lazy haze, enjoying a warm breeze and gentle shade. Then, his ears swirled lightly towards the other male. "Ah, yes," he gave a nod, thinking back to Sakari, "I have a twin sister, Sakari who can be quiet the bundle of joy when I comes down to torturing me."
