Simon opened his eyes for the first time in ten years. He needed to save his energy, so he hybernated for a decade at a time to awaken for a day every tenth anniversary of Arthur Bravia's stab in the back. Gleise 436 c looked beautiful today. He knew that he was farther away now, drifting away and away from this Earth-like planet, though it was so slowly he barely noticed. Now it was about the size of the moon in the night sky back on Earth.
He knew not of the events of the universe. Indeed, he only assumed the moon was the same size and distance, but was not entirely sure. There was intelligent life on Gleise 436 c (if that was what it was still called). A race of feline creatures on the side facing the sun, though his eyes could not zoom in with enough resolution to see what lie on the night side under the waves. One final glance was all that was needed after a day's gaze at the planet. He turned his head 180 degrees to look away from the planet, but for once he saw something. Was this something his scanning had overlooked 10 years ago? Or was it newer than that? Had the felines started to explore space? It looked awefully human-made. He wished he could get to it, but it was still roughly 9 light-years away, almost half the distance to earth...
It was definately a space station. There was one thing to check further from this, which checked out to be true. Indeed, the station was placed directly between Gleise 436 c and Earth, possibly making it a refeuling station for a colonizing effort. This may be his chance for a rescue!
He unloaded a squirt of his last air, which was to be used in emergencies. He no longer needed it in his current form, and placing himself between this station and the planet he had been floating away from for 30 years definately counted as an emergency. Perhaps a passing ship would pick him up!
And so his body floated to the destination he had set, slowly. It would take a few months. This was a sensitive operation though, with no chances of failure. They could probably see right through it, but it was better than appearing as a lifeless grey mass of outdated android, so he activated his appearance fabrication device. His hair grew long and blonde, his waist shrunk, his hips rounded, his eyes blued, his pectoral hydraulic muscle emulators expanded to give the appearance of breasts. If these days were anything like they were 30 years ago, then sex still sells. Therefore, the appearance of an attractive woman might attract more attention, though even if they could not see through this, he left some appearances of an android on his body so they would know he was still alive and needed to breathe. He needed to get onto a ship... No matter what the cost... he was going to get his revenge...

He kept systems fully functional while he waited. If there was any chance at getting picked up before he shut down this was it. He only hoped that his ruse of appearing as a woman would work. He continued to look towards the station he saw. It appeared as if it was under construction. That figured, as it took the light 9 years to reach him. On the side he could see a word written, possibly the name of the station. That far away, it was difficult to see from the so far zoomed in image. The resolution was that of some poor quality internet videos from his childhood, but he must be persistant. Having the name of the station could help amnipulation efforts later on... Onecsis?
