PostPosted: Sat Aug 16, 2008 7:24 pm

It had been a long rather confusing day for a poor forest colored wolf. He had grown unexpectedly wail in training and all that remained around his young frame was his four bracers that had grown with him and a make shift loin clothe that hung low along his hips, as he sat very dog like by the water.

He had returned to the pool he and his human pack mates had been training in. He did not think it was a good time to be with the youngsters of the pack. Not until he could control his ever stronger animal nature. No matter what training or how human his adoptive mother and pack wanted him to be he could never be human.

The moonlight of the night helped calm him as he listened to the sounds of the life that brought him to relaxed state. He could hardly hear the cries of wolfs lower down on the mountain.

He lowered his head to lap up some water and lowered himself to lay with his back legs to the side and his wrists crossed in front of him. He had to think things threw before he returned to either of his pack groups. He knew he did not belong with humans...but he did not want to leave the pack he was growing so found of.

When ever he looked at his reflection he only saw the wolf. The thick fur of his along his back and now even starting to grow on his chest.

The two wolfish boys ran through trees, not bothering to stop and look behind them.
Or rather, one did. The other, smaller boy, sat on the others shoulder.
The night air was exhilarating to them, after being cooped up so long under Serre and Sky's watchful eyes.
The fact that they were out was nothing less than amazing to them.
The day had started out normally enough. They just hadn't realized how close they were to actually being here.

After traveling for a week or so, you tend to lose your grasp of time.
Traveling in itself had been a new experience for them, but it didn't compare to this.
Serre had given them free range after they stopped, while she went to find their sister.
She had known they needed it, she had known that they would come back.
It was the first time they'd been more wolf than anything else.

The two's vases had been made at the same time, Jin had simply grown faster.
From birth, they'd been taught to walk, talk, and eat human.
It didn't bother them, it was what they were used to.
Still....
It felt amazing to run.
There were even a few times they let go and howled.

Lost as they were in the sensation of running, neither of the pair seemed to notice that they were moving closer to a scent that wasn't fully wolf...

Rhea rested his head on his hands his ears flicking at the sound some something moving towards him. He could tell from the way the foot falls sounded that they were human. He did not have to worry about human nor did he have any interest in any other than his pack members. That and the footfalls were to fast for his alpha human, two heavy for his alpha female human, and to loud for the youngsters.

Most likely hunters wandering around looking for night game. He had so much on his wolf mind. Instincts were going wild and he did not feel like getting yelled at or thrown again. Maybe he should just try to find his wolf pack.

Within the night another was moving. A young female who could not sleep. She had far to much running threw her young mind to sleep. She let out a soft breath and pushed her long cyan colored braid over her shoulder so it would hand down her back the end of it bouncing against her backside as she walked.

As she moved she tried not to look over her form. Seeing how she was growing only added to her growlingly more confused mind. She seemed to be a a little odd ball.

The red headed man skidded to a stop a few yards away from the body of water.
His tall frame shook with laughter and heavy breaths.
It had been a long time since he had run like that, and even then it hadn't been near that far.
Still, the exhaustion was a small price to pay for it.
It would have helped though, if his running partner hadn't been sitting on him.

"Alright you little bugger, I think your rides over."
It wasn't that the other boy weighed much, or that it hampered him, it was just that the kid had one hell of a grip.
He was quite sure that once he found a mirror he'd find a few clumps of hair missing.
Atleast that's what it felt like.

Jin let out another large breath, flopping down on the soft grass.
The sudden movement forced the other boy off him, leaving him free to spread out his arms and legs in a human x.
It felt good to stretch.
_____

The smaller, actually quite tiny, boy took a leap off of his brother as he started to go backwards.
He would have gotten off the normal way, given the chance.
"You know, it'd be a bit tough for you to explain carrying me home with a broken limb."
That wouldn't happen though, they were both far to resilient.
Sometimes his brothers antics bugged him though.
It was as if he was the younger one.
Or in the younger body, per say.
The two were exactly the same age, both their vases had been made at the same time, jin had just grown quicker for some reason.

Still, because Jin had done that, he hadn't gotten to learn what it actually was to grow up.
When he reached the same size as him, he'd have that upper hand.

Maybe then he'd be able to run side by side with his brother, instead of holding on to his back for dear life.
Not that it hadn't been enjoyable.
Just not as much as actual running.

He'd get to one day though.
Serre had even promised she'd train him in secret so he'd be able beat Jin on day.
Zephyr smiled at the secret. Jin wouldn't take it badly if he did, but it would still surprise him, maybe even shock him a bit.

The boy ran a small hand through his pale hair and breathed in a breath of the cold night air.
Tonight was a full moon.

Rhea's eyes opened as he heard the sound of the person stop too near the pound. He looked up to see an adult male flop down and a surprise tossed to the ground as well. He moved to sit up his legs and arms in the same positions as a canine sitting.

His multi colored eyes watched the two. He did not know them and they were a bit too close to his sleeping training partners. He just hoped that they would be leaving from the mountain soon or he would take out at least the surprise in defense of his alpha's territory before the adult took him.

Kanis hoped she was walking towards the pound. It was a full moon and at least if she was alone she could finally get to see and examine her recently grown body. And not have to see all the flaws of hers compared to her sister's.

Jin opened one silvery eye and propped his head up.
The slight noise caused the man to cast a quick look around.
He hadn't thought there would be anyone up here.
Obviously, from the green haired boy staring at him that wasn't quite true though.
Even with his eyesight the boy was hard to make out.
He was small, but not near as small as Zeph, and his coloring almost made him blend completely into the surroundings, even his ears.
All except those eyes...

"'Ello there,"
He said in a normal tone of voice. If this boy was here, so might others. "I'm Jin, and this is Zephyr.
What's your name?"

He had always been a bit to forth coming. It was a fault of his.

Besides, acting suspicious wouldn't lead to anything good.
If this was the other boys land, then they were the ones at fault here.

_____

Zephyr stared back over in the direction that his brother was looking.
It was quite surprising to see someone else staring back.
Since Jin was already introducing them, he noted with some agitation, he simply waved over in his direction.

While he wasn't as forth coming, he wasn't rude either.
He wondered if he was alone.
He wasn't stupid enough to ask that though.

He would wait for now, and see the other wolish boys reaction.
The boy had ears, where as they just had tails.
It was obvious he had more wolf than they, so the human, or whatever other race he had in him might not be as strong.

Whatever his next action was, it would answer that question.

Rhea's body tensed and he moved to all fours standing now. He nodded to himself. Size did not matter, if his determination was strong enough he could win and the alpha would be proud of him for defending the mountain.

He bared his fangs and growled a bit. The only thing making him a hybrid was the fact his body was human but all yes in him was wolf. His parents had both been wolves but the goddesses made him human to fit with his adoptive pack.

He had luckily gotten new clothes from the alpha female so he was not facing these two males unparalleled. He gave another soft growl. "Rhea.What....you...doing here?" He asked.

Jin stood up to his full height as the younger wolf growled.
That was slightly odd to him, he'd been nothing but cordial to him.
The threat was obviously clear though.
The red head moved over in front of his brother, knowing that if worst came to worst it would give him a chance to run.

"Hey Kid, are you alright?"
If he appeared calm, and kept talking, maybe, just maybe, it would make the boy rethink whatever that growl meant.

Jin didn't want to fight the boy, he wasn't a violent person.
Serre was, but she wasn't here, thankfully.
He'd rather talk it out, or simply walk away if given the chance.
_____

Zephyr hadn't moved when the other boy growled.
He hadn't moved even when his brother moved in front of him.
If there was a fight, he knew he would be expected to run and find Serre but...
Could he really be expected to abandon his brother?

The white haired boy shook his head and his tail, a physical effort to clear his mind.
It seemed to work, the feel of the cold air on his face and his hair resettling brought him back to focus.
Yes, he could be expected to.
If he stayed he'd just be a liability.

What could he do to help anyway?
Bite the other boys ankles?

Rhea's wild eyes watched the taller one move. He did not calm down, just remained tense in a ready to fight if he must. His ears were flattened slighlty, "Rhea no kid!" He barked.

He would be as much of an adult as he needed to protect those of his pack from others who might do them harm. As long as they stayed on their side of the pound he would not attack. Not that he wanted too. He was still far to confused about everything.

Kanis could hear some commotion ahead of her. She stopped walking and listened for a minute. She thought they had been the only ones on the mountain but maybe she was wrong. Her elf ears listened to the night and she heard Rhea's back and a soft growl of his.

She didn't want him to get in trouble. And she did not know where Corrah and Armus stayed on the mountain. If Rhea was getting in a fight she would step up. But she should not get in the way if he was just playing with his wolf pack or practicing fighting.

Not a kid, eh?
"How old are you then?"
He found it slightly troubling that the kid still viewed them as a threat.
Had they done anything that made it seem like they wanted to hurt him?
He didn't think so.

Then again, they hadn't been around many people, so he could be wrong.
This kid wasn't like most people though, judging by his ears.
Maybe they should just leave.

He didn't like the idea of leaving a situation that could cause the other to view him as an enemy, but if it was necessary.
Maybe if there was someone else here to talk to him.
Zeph was small enough to seem nonthreatening, but he wasn't outgoing enough to try that.
Still.....
_____

The small white haired boy was slightly annoyed with the green haired kid in front of them.
Not a kid?
What did he call himself then, a cub?
He was bigger than him, but not as big as Jin, and Jin had the body of an adult.
The boy wasn't even big enough to be a teenager....

Pointing this out though wouldn't do any good at this point though...
After all, no need to add fuel to the fire.

Rhea sighed, these males were not getting it. He could tell that despite their tails they were nothing more than humans, elves like the rest of the humans he worked with. And the question to his age started to anger him more. It was not about being younger or older. They were treating him like a pup and they were in his pack's turf.

Kanis sighed she heard another's voice and she pulled the branches of a bush to the side and looked at the tall figure. She felt a blush heat her cheeks as the full moon glowed over the tall male. The aura of the moon gave him a ghost like look.

She knew if it was a ghost there was no way Rhea could take him, and she had yet to see the smaller male. She took a breath and walked out. "Rhea....where are you?" She smilied, "Rhea...Aras is looking for you.."

The sigh seemed a bit of an improvement over the growling.
Maybe the boy was calming down a bit?
Hopefully at least.

It didn't seem to matter though, they're little exchange seemed to have woken someone else.
The way this one talked though was more civil.
Maybe she'd be open to reason?

"Hello there."
He called over lightly to the girl.
Zephyr was still behind him, quietly watching the situation.
He didn't expect him to react, to tell the truth.
When things got odd, he generally chose a tactical retreat over other options.

Still, the fact that he chose not to do anything alarming was a good thing.
It might have set off the other boy.

{{Sorry, schools up, but I promise the next response will be better}

Kanis looked up at the others and played like she had not seen them. "Um hello there." she blushed softly in the moonlight. The tall male looked almost like a fallen prince. A nobleman that had died and was returning to the montains. It was not until she had moved closer that she say the smaller figure. "I am sorry about Rhea...he tends to be very protective."

She slowly reach out her hand to place it on Rhea's head. Normally he only let thier trainers or her sister touch him like this. "Rhea maybe should should return to Aras...she misses you...don't worry I will take care of these gentlemen." She said softly.

Looking back up at the others. "Sorry....not many people are up here...and Rhea still is a little skitish around humans."

Rhea allowed Kanis' fingers to lace into his hair and he nods, turning to start moving towards the bushes.
