It felt like a very long time has she been out in the sun. That evening had its everyday breeze and the sun was just setting. She was by some hills and some trees. Letting the wind brush against her cheeks. Opening her eyes to the sound of a bird chirping, she snorted and walked up the hills. Then down them. On the other side of the lumps, she found the the path to the forest. It was the very place where she had been all this time. However, she can barely remember what she had did. It felt like a part of her life had been cut out of her timeline. Something in her heart burned, she didnt feel at all satisfied. Ignoring the pain in her, she felt miserble, almost....lonely.

The sun was setting on another day and still Vibrant saw nothing in the worldt make him see any beauty.
There was a distance to him now as if he was watching the world from afar no longer in the large black body, and he looked a wreck with his hair in tangles and mud caked to his coat. There was no life left in him it seemed, well not enough to care about his appearance. Occasionally a stray sparkle would flutter to the ground, but most were no held in place by the dried up mud, so he was just another shadow slipping through the dark forests.
His eyes still glowed, but there was no life to them, no happy-ness .. no feeling what so ever. Vibrant was an empty shell of his former self and as of yet no other had been able to cure him.

Her heart pounded with pain as she felt the wind blow once more at her face. It carried a familiar scent, but one that she could not pin-point. Awnaety did not understand why she feels this pain, since nothing seemed wrong to her. The sky glowed with pink and blue, somehwhat orange. "Feelings are for losers." Her stubborness started to show once more. The pain in her heart was once again ignored. Trotting into the woods, she found herself thinking about the pain yet again. "Uhg..." she moaned. Her eyes felt like tearing up. It washed away her regular mood, and put her in a feeling shes never felt before. She felt powerless, she had always felt like she could do whatever she wanted but now, her heart felt empty. What was she missing. Awnaety racked her brain, but nothign came to mind. How could you feel this sadness without even knowing what it is from?

He came to a halt in a hidden clearing where the grass was still lush despite summer's cruelty. He passed beside the babbling river and moved towards the medium sized pool, dammed up by beavers, that it feed into.
He slipped easily into the cool waters and watched the mud and sparkles run off his body discoloring the water with it's passing. Long after he knew that he was clean he still stood in the water wondering if it wouldn't be such a bad idea to drown himself right here.
His eyes stared out into nothing, and never seemed to see the world around them. Although his ears were always moving he didn't seem to hear a sound either.
So, he didn't hear or see Awnaety nearby and just stood there up to the base of his neck in water.

Awnaety stepped past some trees and soon heard the rushing river. She didnt mind the noice because it sounded like something was in pain, and she liked watching others in pain. However, not herself. The dark brown mare's heart burned yet again this time it really hurt. Not far away, her ears picked up some noise besides the river. The familiar scent arrived to her nostrils once more. This time, the scent made her heart pound faster...raher than painfully. Curious as she was, her hooves carried her along the path a stallion had walked on not too long ago. She made her way past some more trees and soon saw a pond, or perhaps a swamp like place. Bits of treets and sticks were put together in a way as if someone lived in it. Then, her eye just could not miss this one...the black, the rainbow skull, hair and legs. Every part of her long lost mate was there...or was she the one that had been lost? Awnaety Shook her head.
The mare's little heart pounded with excitement, she was always different in front of Cibrant. He was special to her, in the first place why they had mated. She nuzzled his butt, hoping not to push him into the water. However she did notice something odd, he had more than his mouth in the water. Was he looking at fish? She nuzzled him one more but this time on the side. Awnaety hadnt felt happiness like this in a long time.

His eyes were open but they were distant and spaced out, Vibrant was off in his own world and didn't register the muzzles at first. He was still dripping water from his swim and his mane clung to his thick neck. His body and mind finally seemed to register the nudges and he lifted his head slowly out of the water looking back to the soquili nudging him. At first he thought it was Morgana, but the mare didn't sparkle like Morgana.
Then his memory snapped back in line and his eyes widened before he lept away in a furry of flying hair.
He stood with his back to her for a moment panting, the stallion felt like he couldn't breath as his chest seemed to constrict to finally fill the void that had once been his heart. A shudder ran down his spine before he slowly turned to face her again his head hanging down as he looked over at her his eyes vacant again.
"Can I help you ..." those were the only words he spoke to her.

Awnaety's heart sank deep inside her and she felt it almost shatter. What was wrong with Vibrant. Does he not reconise her, this was not the same Vibrant she had once known. It was as if he had gotten his brain washed. Where was the happiness that once flowed through his eyes, where was the fire that once burned in his eyes. Another shock of pain occured to her bruised heart. "......" What can she say...what was there to say. "Vibrant?" she prayed her voice would ring up something in his mind. Something lovely, like it use to. The mare turned her head towards the water waiting for a response, not able to look at his face for a reaction. For she was expecting one that she did not wish for.

He stood silent, his name caused another shudder to run down his body and his ears turned back then to the side defeated, she'd been gone so long and she still expected things to be the same. He was trying to think of something, something to say, some reason to get away, anything to get him out of this situation but his mind was blank.
Since they were exchanging names ... "Awnaety" he didn't say her pet name. He forced his voice to stay flat, emotionless and distant.
A breeze blew up his spine and chilled VSoD to the bone makeing another shudder wrack his body.
The pain on her face didn't seem to bother him, had he not felt this same thing until he'd forced his mind to practically shut down until thought was at a minimal and the world was nothing but a blur as he moved through it?

So he did recognise her. Out of the corner of her eyes, he had not showed any emotion, the way he called her name was cold. Her heart burned and she felt it shatter, breaking into a million pieces inside her, feeling the shards pierce her insides. Flicking her eyes back to the water, she didnt understand why. Had he not felt the same anymore. "You've got another mare dont you?" she assumed with a deep breath after it. Awnaety walked more closely to the water and looked down. She knew she was born dark to the world for a reason, because no one had really loved her, because god had put a curse on her to never be happy. She had once felt happiness, but it was all fake now.
If only the earth came alive and swallowed her in its magma. Melting her. No, she will not stand here and let him just act like that to her. Those watery eyes soon stopped watering and, her pained expression had turned into an emotionless expression...just like his.

Another mare? A soft snort exited his nostrils and he shook his head "No, I don't have another mare. Nobody could take your place ... but you left, you abandoned and hurt me more than you'll never understand." He was still emotionless, void of the life that had once been Vibrant. He was a ghost of his former self, even if one couldn't tell it seeing his outer shell.
His eyes closed and his head dropped again his mane falling in front of his face hiding the fact that a single tear was sliding down his black cheek.

Vibrant did not have another mare out there. And now she understands why their first meeting in a long time is so...strange. As if the two had never even met before. Strangers. "I've never abandoned you Vib......" she did not know what to say she was doing all that time. Awnaety barely remembers why she was no where near him. "I really dont remember a thing from the time we last saw each other." The mare turned to him, but her heart was not ready to see his face. However, the hair on him partially covered his eyes, but she turned back to face the water. The liquid behind her eyes were held back with much effort. It wasnt the time to say 'I love you', she could only assume his heart had turned dark for her. As dark as his own skin. She was nothing to him.

His head slowly came up as his face and eyes darkened "you didn't abandon me? You left for nearly a year with no explanation as to WHY." He stamped a hoof slightly and tossed his mane "... you didn't know why you lift or what you did?" his eyes narrowed to slits now, but after a moment her forced his face to soften and let out a sigh "I can't believe that Awnaety."
He flicked his long tail back and forth "We're not mates anymore, but that doesn't make us enemies."

Awnaety's face now stained with tears. Her heart deeply broken into pieces. Then fire bloomed in her eyes, and suddenly she no longer felt anymore pain. "Maybe we're not meant to be Vibrant. and I can no longer see you as anything else but an enemy." The mare started walking off, before turning slightly back to her ex-husband, she hated him. Always will. Her world only got darker. However she needed no stallion to live, she needed no love in her life. She never had any even when she was younger, this was for the best, like nothing ever had happend. Awnaety flicked her tail angrily but also as a goodbye. Then made her way back into the forest, where she could hide once more, to mend that broken heart of hers.

Vibrant just shrugged at her rolling his glowing eyes in exasperation at the raging emotions of the mare. "If that is how you want it then so be it, but you did it to yourself Awnaety, had you explained your leaving then I wouldn't have ended our relationship. You have non to hate but yourself, and if you try to turn blame on me your only makeing excuses for you know that you are to blame for your own un-happiness."
He turned away and started drinking from the brook again, who needed women anyway. His long tail twitched back and forth across his rump the rainbow skull seeming to be sneering at her back in a 'haha! idiot!' manner.
