Grinch had long ago staked out this lonely mountain area for his territory. Since then, he had tried to become more friendly, and did so by "adopting" Ilori when he showed up and permitting Bowser to sort of stomp around, but by and large he was failing entirely at this friendly-business. He hadn't made his way out of his home in nearly a year now.
He'd even skipped Christmas.
Today, Grinch was prowling his territory. Was it for boredom? Was it to make sure it was still his and no one else was around? Was it with the possibility in the back of his mind to actually go out and do something? Perhaps he just wanted to make sure he didn't run into Bowser again... Any way that went, he was out of his cave, and out of the small bit he usually didn't stray from.
Perhaps he was just out because he had to go further to hunt today. And...that...was going to be his prey... Although the men didn't usually hunt, Grinch had gotten very good at it over the past several years, and it took nothing to bring the other animal down. Mmm, too big for one, but he could dine now and bring the rest back for whoever wanted it.
OOC: Not going for gruesome here, just realistic and to give Grinch a reason for being out. =)

Saryichu had finally gotten away from the other two lions she is forced to share a den with. Umicho is alright besides bursts of energy, but Aradel...such a stubborn blockhead. In her mind she cannot really see him finding anybody. But then again there is somebody out there for everyone. She pads through the field near the den, reaching the outskirts. With a final sigh she leaves the boundry, deciding to go on a longer walk rather enjoying the freedom. For some reason a thought crosses her mind and she takes off in a fast run, dodging past rocks and occational fallen limbs. The feeling of running free without waiting up for the other two back home gave her a sense of peace. She silently decides to practice her hunting skills, knowing full well that they need a good work out. After a few minutes she spots a green lion not too far off from her possibly hunting as well. She decides for now not to get too close hoping she had not stumbled on somebody elses territory.
