Harriet glanced around his apartment the Friday after his date with Riulve. Honestly, the man was a bit nervous about calling her, not entirely sure if it was too soon or if she would be interested in that second date at this point. He had waited the week since any less would have seemed too soon after their first meeting. He hadn't been waiting and thinking about if he should or not every waking moment; at this point in his life, he did have other things to worry about.
Taking care of Alice and figuring out what sorts of fun things were in Gaia were two of his biggest distractions. However, he did still have time to consider what sorts of places would be good for his next date during his outings. This was prompted especially because he'd mentioned to Alice that his date had had kids too and that he might take her along to meet them on the second date - Alice did so love people.
Nervousness had been thrown out the window when he found out about what might be the perfect spot for the second date. It wasn't quite that he stopped being shy because he found the right place - he just had to forget being nervous seeing as the place was a Carnival and it would be leaving in the new few days. Alice had indicated wanting to check it out at some point and inviting Riulve and her kids to such a thing with them seemed like a good idea.
So there he sat, phone in hand, dialing the number he'd been given. He didn't like having to use phones - he didn't have to often back at his work (he had had a secretary) and now he had to use it to call a woman he'd met once and ask her out. Oh well, best to get this over with. She seemed reasonable enough not to kill him for it at least. After all, she'd been the one to give him the number.

"Yeah?" Riulve said into the mouthpiece with very little etiquette on her part. She held the phone between her head and her shoulder with the art of the cocked head that she had managed to perfect during her days of first owning and getting a phone on Gaia. To her phones were still odd contraptions.
Still it was easy to tell it was her.
The tall woman leaned against the door way leading into the bathroom where her youngest daughter bathed in the bathtub. Her son, Mana, had just finished his bath and had now scurried off to his own room to pick out his own clothing wrapped in only a towel to protect his modesty.
Thus, in the background, Harriet heard the faint sounds of splashing and giggling.

"Ah, hello Riulve! This is Hatty from the other night. I called you up to see if we could arrange another outing. There's a carnival in town that's in it's last days and I figured we might be able to take our children there tomorrow evening and meet up." the blonde said, barely able to keep his tone slow enough to understand whilst trying not to stutter.
Part of him thought he was crazy to just blurt all of this out at once. The rest of him said it was probably just a good idea to be straight forward with her. Anyway, it wasn't like he was trying to whisk her off to a nightclub or something. A fair was perfectly reasonable to invite her to.

Before she could respond Riulve tilted her head so she wouldn't talk or shout directly into the mouthpiece, "Wynni, Wynni!... Stop that. The point of a bath is to keep the water in the damn tub."
The response was a louder giggle from the child in question and Riulve's response was to sigh when she returned to the conversation at hand.
"Wha? Oh, hey. It is you." She sounded surprised but pleasantly so. "What d'you want to know again." Riulve trailed off into a thoughtful silence trying to recall what he had blurted out a moment prior to her scolding her daughter.
"Oh, carnival, sure. Tomorrow evening would be fine." She didn't hesitate for the woman didn't see the need to. Now she waited for his response.

"All right. How do you want to meet up? Bella, Alice and I could come over and get you guys or we could just find each other outside of the carnival. It's up to you really. I can give you directions to the place." he told her sheepishly , smiling softly at the fact that she hadn't yelled at him or something.

"MOMMY NEEDS A BATH, TOO!" shouted a giggling voice and a loud spash.
"Gaahhhhh. One second." Riulve set the phone down for a second. There was a bit of good natured commotion, some scolding, and then the pitter-patter of little ...clawed(?) feet.
Riulve picked up the phone again, "Sorry about that...Whatever works for you guys. It might be good to just go as a group if you'd like." It would save time of looking for everyone.

"Okay then. Where do you guys live and what time would be good for us to swing by around?" Harriet asked, pulling a small pad and paper out of the desk he had the phone placed on. He'd need to write it down if he was going by to meet up with her.

There was a small pause as if she had almost forgotten what her address was before she finally gave an address number and vague directions on how to get there for she was not certain where he would be coming from. Either way her home wasn't in any towns but rather out on it's own closest to Durem for ease of shopping when there was a need for it.
"As for the time," There was another pause before she said, "Around five or thirty minutes after so that way I can get my young ones home for their bedtime and they won't feel cheated..."

"All right. See you then!" he said cheerfully. "Have a good evening." and soon hung up.

The next evening, at about quarter past Five, the blonde and his two charges stood at Riulve's door. Alice wore her usual pink jumper and purple t-shirt ensemble, while Bella wore her plaid pants and light blue shirt. The man himself wore neat jeans and a simple white t-shirt, a neat black leather coat that extended to mid-thigh and matching boots.
Harriet felt a bit dressy and highly nervous, but Bella had assured him he looked 'hot' and Alice was excited to meet other children. After the candymaker had knocked, the three stood there anxiously.

There was the sound of chaos behind the door a lot of shouting something fell and suddenly the door swung open and Riulve was in view wearing nothing but a bra and underwear, both ice-blue. Her eyes glanced around at the group with only shock but lacked embarrassment. "Oh! Earlier than I thought you all would be. Come on in, have a seat. I just need to ... Get dressed. Yeah." She laughed and disappeared into the home again leaving the door open so that Harriet and his little family unit could enter.
At the moment there were no children in view, likely had been ushered off to dress and get ready.

Harriet found himself matching the tips of his hair. Bella was considering this an ample time to take in a quick visual of humanoid female anatomy in progress and vaguely wondered if Harriet would answer questions about whether it was attractive or not. Alice was giggling profusely behind her hands. The child thought it was reaaaaaaaally funny seeing her Daddy blush at something so small as a lady walking around in her underthings. Bella and Alice did it all the time!
The child was the first to skip into the apartment, soon followed by the curious Belune. Harriet had to be dragged in from the spot he'd been rooted to by his elder charge. Honestly, that man was too easily embarrassed. Though, he probably hadn't ever seen a woman naked - or close to naked - before.

Riulve had, for the moment, seemingly disappeared though her voice is heard telling the children to get ready. The first child to come into view is a small child named, Wynni with odd legs with talons that look like they ought to belong to a lizard, a tail, and a set of silvery wings. She sees Hatty and his company and wanders over.
"Hi! I'm Wynni!" She introduces herself with no fear. The man had another lady-thing, however odd looking she seemed to be, and a child there was nothing to fear.
Soon an equally small and quiet boy comes on the scene. He wanders up to stand behind his younger sister and only stares for now...

Alice smiled brightly and waved at the two children. "Hi Wynni, I'm Alice!" the girl greeted the female, seeing as that one seemed more interested in talking.
Bella was staring with interest at the two children. Harriet, on the other hand, was still kind of standing nervously, not really looking at anything.

Wynni grinned at Alice before moving toward Hatty and staring up at him with large pink colored eyes, "You needs to sit, momma said to make sure you sit." She nodded sagely up at the tall man as if this was an order coming from a small child whom was the voice of the great one called Momma.
The boy hung back for a moment before finally introducing himself, "'m Mana. Hi." He murmured lightly. He was a little shy at the moment simply adjusting to the new forms around him.
More rustling in the back and the sound of something falling over. The children didn't seem concerned.

Harriet was distracted by the falling sound and a bit worried, but Bella and Alice had the presence of mind not to be concerned and just push Hatty to sit down somewhere. The purply girl sat down next to her 'father' but Alice was too excited for sitting, just bouncing on her toes and grinning at the two children.
"Hiiii Mana!" she said cheerfully to the boy, fluttering her wings.
