White paws made careful steps through the grasses, their owner sneaking around trees...though sometimes running into them on her left side. She still wasn't use to being half-blind. Dogo grumbled and ceased her stalking, shaking herself and proceeding like a normal creature...scarred head high.
The leopard was determined to see the new cubs of the queen...Hippy's new brothers and sisters. Brothers though...Dogo wrinkled her nose. Boys were stupid, as her scars showed, and violent.
A flash of red caught her good eye and she sunk into the grasses once more, grinning. One of the new cubs? Even if it wasn't...she was sure the others wouldn't mind seeing Dogo practicing her pouncing. Bunching her muscles and then letting go as she leapt towards her target...and missed by a few inches. That was one thing about being half-blind...she was still getting used to no depth perception.

Ceres was out and about, glad to be so. Everything in the area was so new; sights, smells, sounds. The red cub reveled in it for a few moments before darting off again. Ceres was headed nowhere in particular, just checking out the scenery, getting a more complete lay of the land. Her black eyes darted from one side to the other, taking it all in. All except for the leopardess that was following her.
Regardless, her gaze was fixed on a butterfly in front of her when she heard something land very close by... Really close, actually. Surprised, Ceres gave a little hop that served the purpose of facing whatever it was that had leapt at her. Her fearlessness was impressive, she quickly shoved her face through the grass, ready to reveal her teeth if need be. However, that reaction quickly dissolved once her black eyes landed on the leopardess. "Oh, hello! You snuck up on me there!" she said pulling the rest of herself out from behind the curtain of grass. She noticed the other girl's scars, but didn't ask anything about it. "Who're you?" She asked, waiting for the other's name before she gave her own.

Dogo blinked at the cub. Yup. The relation to Kiuma was unmistakable. Kiuma and her daughters were the only ones so...RED. Well...except for that one cub of Moto's. She righted herself, standing up and shaking some of the dirt off.
"I'm Dogo. You're one of Kiuma's daughters, right?" Dogo couldn't help but wonder what kind of male would pass down such a weird head-marking though...It was cool looking...but weird. She wouldn't worry about it. After all...a male was a male, and that was that.

"Nice to meet you, Dogo," Ceres said. "Yeah, Kiuma's my mom!" She said, puffing up proudly. "You must know her, then?" Ceres asked, tilting her head. She sat down, leaning back on her haunches. "So... Dogo? You're not a lion, are you?" She asked, getting off-topic. Everything seemed new to the cub, but she knew that lions had a little puff of fur on the tail that she lacked. She decided to point out her logic, it might help explain why she wondered. "Your tail is different from mine," she said, extending a claw in Dogo's tail's direction.

Dogo nodded. "A little. Hippy brought me here, after I got hurt. And you can't meet her without meeting your Mom afterwards." She smiled a bit. "They're both really nice. And strong!" The leopard sat down and nodded again.
"I'm a leopard. I get told I'm supposed to climb trees...but I like being on the ground better. Easier to catch rabbits in their dens that way."

Ceres chuckled before agreeing with a nod. "Yeah, if you run into one of us, you typically run into my mom too. I'm gonna be as strong as my mom someday, too," She said with a mischievously determined grin. Yes, she'd accept nothing less.
"Oh! I've heard of leopards!" She said excitedly, making note to remember differences. "I can climb trees too, but not too high. Not yet, anyway, it's kinda hard when your legs are so short." She said, holding out a front paw to show the extent of her cub-sized legs. "But yeah, I'll bet it would be harder to catch food in the trees." She turned her onyx gaze towards a nearby tree, searching for... anything that one could grab and eat up there. Maybe a bird, or a monkey if you got lucky. "I'd prefer it on the ground too."
