Hope was a dangerous, dangerous thing. It had led both Bob and Pep Avelon to many places about Gaia. Perhaps, just maybe, one doctor would tell them something different.
But none did. All said the same thing: The odds of them having a child, even with fertility treatments, were a million to one. It wasn't like they could reverse whatever had been done to Bob. It was, to say the least, discouraging. Pep could see the look in his eyes, when he took off those damn shades.
"This is all my fault." No matter how many times she told him otherwise, the look never left. He wanted a family with her, but couldn't give it to her. The more clinics and doctors they went to, the more intense that look got.
And that was why Pep stood alone outside of Double Trouble, worriedly fingering her bracelets. They'd agreed that they wouldn't go to anymore. It hurt him too much. But... she'd heard very good things about this place. It they could make a baby between two men, surely they could help out a couple with some fertility problems.
She'd called a few days earlier, set up an appointment. She'd came alone because, hey. Men didn't have too many options when it came to fertility treatments. If they could help her a little bit... Maybe it would help.
So, she entered alone, nibbling on one well manicured nail. Oh... My. She was nervous.

Selma sat inside, look as listless as ever, as she filed her nails. She had a date after work today and was actually looking forward to something for once. So she wanted to do work even less. She already planed on leaving early, if there were customers or not.
She glanced up when an odd woman walked in, then again she lived in Gaia, it wasn't too odd to see a woman with odd attachements. Not that she really cared, she just asumed the woman would want to talk to her about an appoitment or something so she just went straight to the point.
"Sit. The doctor will see you when he's free." she just said shortly, pulling out some nail polish.

Pep gave the woman a little smile, shuffling to sit down in one of the little chairs. Her bangles chimed against one another for a brief moment, and then silence.
While she may have appeared to be calm and composed on the outside, the tail curling tightly around one boot would say otherwise. They'd been married scarcely three months, and already she was doing something in secret from him? This didn't bode well.
But it was wise to keep it from him, at least. So, that if it didn't work, he wouldn't blame himself. Again. He'd just gotten more stable from his last battle with depression. She was conflicted about this, but thought she was in the right, at least.

Dr. Ronchas was...late to say the least. He got caught up with some...plans and din't want to be disterbed. When he finally remembered his appointment he was already a half an hour late and it took him 15 minutes to get everything cleaned up.
He did come out though, dusting his hands off as he beamed, seeing the single young woman. Hmmm, well that's doable, everyone was doable, Ronchas was a miracle worker. That's what science was for, being able to fix all of God's mistakes.
"Hello, Hello! It's great to see you. I'm Dr. Ronchas, it's nice to meet you, nice to meet you. Please, come to my office. You want a baby yes?"

Had Bob been there, alarm bells probably would've went off in his head, and they probably would've left. This guy was pretty goddamn weird. However, after sitting for quite some time, and hearing someone cheerful made her smile. He seemed very enthusiastic!
"I, Ah, yes!" Pep blushed, bobbing her head as she stood. She nervously dusted off her pants and straightened her shirt, smiling pleasantly enough. "Please, lead the way."

He already was. A soft, clinical touch to the back guided her into his office. He was werid, creepy and had a pervert's grin but there was no sexual gleam in his eyes. There never would be, Ronchas had no interest in his female patients, he only wanted them pregnant. He didn't care how they got that way as long as they came to him first.
"So you're here for a baby, wonderful, wonderful. Just you?"

Pep followed him, tail finally unwrapping from her ankle to wave behind herself. All right, calming down... A bit, at least. Hey, anyone would be a bit high strung in her shoes!
"N-no," She said, cheeks slightly red again. "My husband and I have been trying, but we have problems, and haven't had any luck..." She rolled the simple gold band on her finger idly, then twined her fingers together. "He couldn't make the appointment."

Ronchas nodded, and wrote down notes. The lack of the husband was interesting but it didn't make any matter. All she needed as the shot and she'd get pregnant, so long as they were moderately compatiable. They only really needed the basic ingredients, his serum would do the rest.
"Fine, fine, then I just have some paperwork for you. You fill it out and I'll get the shot." Ronchas said, pulling out a blank file after unlocking his file cabnet. "My shot is garenteed, garenteed, to get you pregnant so long as you have sex before your next menstral cycle." Ronchas asured her.

Pep looked at her hands, the fingers twined together. This man... He was so sure of himself, so sure of his clinic. It had to be for good reason. She nibbled her lower lip, still idly twisting her ring. It would make them both so happy, what could it possibly hurt to try...?
"Of course." She sniffed, rubbing at one eye. "I'll fill out whatever paperwork's needed."
Oh, Ronchas. You had another one, hook, line, and sinker.

Ronchas smiled brightly as he headed to the door. "I'll just get the shot, and when I return you can ask any questions you might have, might have." Ronchas asured her before leaving, giving out a bright whistle.
She looked interesting, oh Ronchas loved the interesting people of Gaia. So many possiblities, and Ronchas loved possiblities. More he loved bringing possiblites to life.
He had to wonder what the male looked like. Oh well, she'd answer in the paperwork. How wonderful of paperwork to promise them all the answers he could want. Ronchas would have perfered face to face but he accepted not getting everything he wanted. He'd figure away to get what he wanted most.

Pep smiled after Ronchas as he left. She closed her eyes, still smiling. He was so sure. It filled her with confidence herself. She fished around in her purse, finding Bob's medical information (She was paranoid, she carried it 'just in case')
Surely he would understand her not telling him, coming here alone. Giving out their information to a total stranger- Oh, he was going to be pissed when she told him.
Well, he'd just have to get used to it. She wasn't going to leave now! She watched the door, waiting for Ronchas to return with the shot and whatever paperwork.

Ronchas returned with just the shot, rather pleased himself. He whistled some tuneless, and oddly erie noise as he walked in, placing the needle on the counter and washing his hands before pulling his gloves one. He turned and glanced over the young lady.
"Any questions, any questions?" he asked, beaming at her, so happy that she would soon have a baby. Well happy that she'd soon have on of HIS babies. Ronchas had no interest in what wasn't his.
Unless he was trying to take it.

Pep smiled and shook her head, crossing her ankles, hands in her lap.
"Not really. I guess." She asked, nibbling her lip. "I have our medical information with me, so it shouldn't be to hard to fill out the paperwork. I won't take up too much time." She was terribly polite, still trying to keep her hope down.

Ronchas nodded easly, still smiling as he waited. He took the paperwork when she was done before he took the needle. He scaned the paperwork to see their speices and smiled brightly at the odd mixture. He loved strange mixtures and they were drawn to Double Trouble.
"Okay, Okay. Let's give you the shot and then you'll be ready." Ronchas promised as he took her arm and rolled up her sleave to above her elbow. Then quickly, professionally, he gave her the shot. It was painless and he easily put on a band-aid for her.
"All done!" he said cheerfully.
