Sera sat at the base of a tree, looking around for someone she knew or perhaps someone that wouldn't scare her half to death like everyone else she had met so far had. So far no one had managed to not scare her straight off. Even those walking by scared her to the point of wishing she hadn't lost sight of the one familiar body she knew wouldn't hurt her, however long ago.

Padding through the shoulder-high grass that seemed to surround this particular area, Malagueño's icy blue eyes scanned his surroundings, desperate for something or someone that he could stop and see. As his path wove from a stand of trees into an open meadow, his gaze caught hold of a single winiko, dark pelt standing out against the lighter foliage. Pausing his stride with one large paw in mid-step, the male watched her for a moment before deciding to venture closer. She looked a bit familiar- had he seen her before? Nah, couldn't be.
"Hello," he called gently to her, "What brings you out to these parts...?"

She looked up, hearing the other approach. Slightly scared, and very wary, Sera stood up, attempting to make her way over to Malgueno.
"H-h-hi.." She called back weakly, still to scared to speak normally. "I-I was just l-l-l-looking f-f-for a f-f-friend.." The female didn't mean to stutter, it just happened when she was scared, which was sadly most of the time.

She was terrified; Malagueño felt a pang of guilt for startling her so. The male stepped forward a foot or two, recognizing her nervousness and trying his very best to not scare her any more than she already was. "Yeah?" A friend? Perhaps he wasn't the one she was looking for, but he could see that she needed a shoulder to lean on.
"I'll help you look, if you'd like," he said, voice still soft, "I mean, if you don't want help that's fine too, but I figured since you were looking, I could keep you company until you found them." He paused, head tilting to the side at a slightly odd angle. "What does this friend of yours look like, anyways? Maybe I passed them on the way here..."

Seeing him walk forward, her first instinct was to step backwards and or run. Fighting the urge as much as she could, Sera wound up rooted to the ground.
"I-I-I-I d-d-don't h-h-have a-any.." the words were coming easier, but he was still the scariest thing she had seen that day. It was gonna take her a while to be able to talk without her stutter. "I-I-I-I-I-I w-w-w-was l-l-l-looking f-f-fo-for s-so-some.." Sera admitted, blushing.

"Oh!" Malagueño's face brightened into another soft smile. "Well, if that's the case, then I'll be your friend." He paused his stride about ten feet from her, more to assure himself that he wouldn't startle her further by venturing too close.
"If you'd like, that is," he added thoughtfully, eyes looking up towards the sky as he pondered, "I should introduce myself, shouldn't I!" He chuckled softly and tipped his head to her. "I'm Malagueño. What's your name...?"
